“I was away for a week and Jen did drop in visits twice daily for my two senior (13 &14 yr old) cats. One is diabetic requiring insulin injections twice daily. Jen did an amazing job administering the injections, medication and regular care and of course playtime. She provided pictures and a descriptive notes for each visit daily, which is so appreciated. My kitties also had a few accidents and Jen cleaned up promptly. Overall, Jen did an amazing job and I would definitely recommend her to anyone.”

About: I’ve been watching dogs for 7 years now. I love all types of dogs. But the first dog I ever got close to was a pitbull. He was the first over night dog sit/house sit. I ever did, the couple would travel often due to work. So I would dog sit about 2/3 times a week. I did that for about two years and gained a lot of experience with dogs due to that job. I also find dog walking a great way to stay healthy and active with out it feeling like a work out. I’ve enjoyed dogging sitting ever since I started and don’t plan to stop. There is a courtyard in my building that is dog friendly and three dog parks near my building as well. So they will always have room to run and be themselves. About: Over the past 10 years I have had the blessing to live with a combination of 2 huskies and 6 cats. A few of them have recently passed away and others are now with their forever homes, so now it is just me and my cat (Olive). I miss carring for multiple fluffs but I didnt want the long term responsibility at this time so I thought Rover would be the perfect fit! Most of my experience is with older animals, I am comfortable with medication, pills, dietary needs, physical ailments, regular vet visits, etc. For dogs, I am not that familiar with puppies but excited to learn. For cats, I am comfortable with all ages, from kitten to senior. Thank you for conaidering me to care for your loved ones! Jonny I enjoy my routines and I am usually awake around 6 am. I would first do my litter (daily when you have 3 cats!), then would take my husky out for his morning walk. If I was working from home (2-3 days a week), then sometimes at lunch I would take the dog out once more. Affer work another walk, usually a longer one! At night just before bed I would do one last walk. As my husky got older he required medication 3 times daily, 7am 2pm and 8pm. With the cats, I have timed feeders but happy to meet any dietary needs and schedules! A safe and loving space and meeting your directions on carring for your loved ones will always be my top priority. I know that leaving them can be stressful and I hope to reduce that stress as much as possible!

Should your dog require extra walks or exercise, we would love to have them join us ! At minimum, we will include your furry friend on 3 large walks a day. Please continue reading for a description of our daily schedule: Morning: My partner and myself both wake up by about 7am. My partner typically leaves early, while I will be home to study and care for your furry friends. In the morning I will grab coffee and go for a walk of about 30 minutes before 8am, letting your pup out to pee as needed beforehand. Afternoon: In the afternoon, I often aim to go for about 1 hour of a walk minimum. I will go through the forest or alongside our neighborhood which is a quiet and less populated area of Ottawa. In doing so, there is plenty of room and opportunity to roam around should your pup enjoy such activities. Evening: Before dinner, I often like to walk for about 20 minutes prior to giving dinner. After we have all eaten, myself and my partner typically walk for about 45 minutes to one hour. In the evening, we enjoy down time at home, often reading or watching TV. Your furry friend will hang out with us! Before bed, there will be opportunity for one last walk or at least a pee! ** Note that walks and breaks will be given generously throughout the day. There will never be more than a 1-2 hour period without an outdoor break. Myself and my partner are both young professionals. My partner works as an IT consultant in a hybrid model while I work and study from home! We reside in a three story townhome, with ample room for your pup to run free and explore. There is nowhere in our home that is off limits to animals. We do not have a closed in backyard, but rather have our pee breaks in front of the home which faces a large forest and field. When I care for others pets, I typically set alarms for a walk or pee every 45 minutes to 1 hours. This ensures a check in or small pee break will never be forgotten in case of animals not knowing where to alert to go outside. With this in mind, I often take large and longer walks in between pee breaks in order to better break up the day. Please see the Schedule section to see a predicted daily schedule. Despite this, we are active individuals who love to walk and explore, ensuring your pup will have lots of opportunities to pee and explore as they wish 🐶. Please note, we have plenty of room for a crate should your dog require, but we do not posses one at the moment!

About: For the last two years I’ve been house and pet sitting almost full time with Trusted Housesitters with 21 five star reviews. But now I’m back based in Ottawa. I’ve always had dogs and cats and as I’m an almost empty nester I’ve got time to hang out with your pets.
