I was nervous to use the house sitting service for the first time but Melinda set my fears to rest and sent updates and photos regularly throughout our ten day vacation. Our pups got to go on outings and she even got them a new toy! We forgot to leave their leashes and she went so far as to borrow her own dogs leashes for them during her stay instead of charging us for new ones. She made sure our dogs were never alone for long, even enlisting help from her daughter and partner when needed to keep them company. Our dogs are happy and healthy upon return and our home is lovely and clean. She even went above and beyond to wash our sheets and make up our bed for us so that we could go to sleep immediately after our late flight, we appreciated it more than you know Melinda! We would definitely use Melinda again and recommend her whole heartedly!”

About: I have had dogs since I was born. Mostly large breeds but we did adopt an older Chihuahua for my daughter and he’s now a senior. I have trained and shown dogs as a kid and loved every minute. I’ve always been asked to pet/house sit and so I thought I’d offer my services to everyone. I currently work part time (from home) and am a mom to a human, a 18 month old pup and a 7 month old pup. The human is 10 years old now 😉. Taking care of dog has always been a passion of mine. I pay attention to the little things. They are part of the family when they are with me. We have a fully fenced backyard but when we get bored of that we hit the trails, parks and dog parks. The world is ours to explore! Or we can curl up and watch a movie on the couch if it’s too windy/chilly outside. I’m a work at home mom so I have a flexible schedule. My daughter is in school full time and I work from my home office. We live on 103 acres. There is a dedicated dog run and plenty of pastures for them to roam in. We are set back from the road and have fences everywhere.

About: I was born and raised in Calgary, Alberta, Canada. I am a divorced mother of 2 grown children. I am a successful professional who loves to travel. I am currently working a part time remote job, which makes pet sitting (the fun part of working) easy, accessible and super convenient to work around a families schedule as well as my own. I am super flexible. I currently have 3 cats in my parents home as well as a Great Pyrenees with a huge fenced yard and live on the river which is great for walks! I also have a house of my own which will would be easier for cats or small dogs as it is a town house with 2 cats.
