About: Hello fellow dog owners! My name is Anabelle, and I am thrilled to bring my two years of fostering experience with the Kingston Humane Society to the Rover community. As a foster mom, I've had the pleasure of caring for a diverse range of dogs, including those with challenging behavioural issues and separation anxiety. In addition to fostering, I've been a proud dog parent to three wonderful companions – a lively Beagle and two gentle giants, Bernese Mountain Dogs. I firmly believe that every dog deserves the same love, care, and affection as humans, and I'm dedicated to providing a safe and comfortable environment for your furry friends. With a genuine passion for all things animals, I've developed a special connection with dogs over the years. Whether it's a leisurely walk, an adventurous hike in the trails, or a visit to the dog park (if they're up for it!), I ensure that each dog under my care receives the attention they deserve. I understand the unique personalities of different dogs and tailor my approach to suit their individual needs. Whether your furry friend needs a calming walk, a challenging hike, or just some extra love and attention, I'm here to make their time away from you enjoyable and stress-free. As a recent Queen's graduate who has decided to stay in Kingston for an extra year, I am fortunate to have a flexible schedule that allows me to dedicate ample time to animals. I work remotely during the week, but aside from my flexible work schedule, I’m very much a home body. I share my living space with two other dog-loving individuals, each with varying schedules. This means that your dog will never be alone! The constant presence of fellow pet lovers ensures a supportive and engaging environment, offering your pup companionship and a diverse range of interactions and experiences. Rest assured, I am available 24/7, both on weekdays and weekends. Whether it's a midday stroll, an evening play session, or a weekend adventure, I am here to cater to your dog's needs whenever they arise. The well-being and safety of your beloved pet are my top priorities. In my home, I maintain a secure and pet-friendly environment, free from potential hazards. Having been a foster with the humane society, my home has already been certified as a pet-friendly and safe location. When caring for your pet, I adhere to your specific guidelines regarding access and security. Building a trusting relationship with your pet is fundamental to their well-being. I approach every interaction with patience, kindness, and respect for their individual needs and preferences

“Alex communicated well before I dropped my pup off during and after. I got three updates and lots of photos! I had no worries while I was away during my long day of work and will 100% be bringing my pup back!”

“Kirti was great! I was in the kingston area for a family trip and had to leave my dog for a few hours. Kirti was wonderful and took my energetic dog on walks and fed him his dinner. She also kept me updated which was important for me. I would recommend her to anyone in the kingston area!”

“Our dogs were with Heather for the day, they came home happy and tired. They had an amazing day. We would definitely have our dogs stay with Heather again. She gave us updates ( photos and videos) and her sweet dog Elphie was a great playmate. Thank you thank you Heather for welcoming and taking care of Archie and Delilah.”

“Pamesha was great with Patches again (this was her second time watching Patches). I would highly recommend her if you are looking for dog sitting. She took her on regular walks, posted regular photos, and played with Patches.”

About: We are lifelong pet lovers who have cared for animals our whole lives. We don’t currently have pets of our own, so we love the chance to care for yours! We are the go-to pet sitters for friends and family. Whether it’s playtime, cuddles, or just company, we treat every pet like they’re our own. We are happy to provide daily updates and photos of your happy pet to give you peace of mind while they’re in our care. We both work from home with flexible schedules, go on daily walks, and we’d love to take your pet with us. We are available through the day for meal schedules, play time and bathroom breaks. We have a fenced in yard. We have no kids, and no other pets. If your pet likes to snuggle on the couch or bed, we’re happy to have them, if they like to keep to themselves, there’s plenty of space for quiet time. Their safety and happiness are our top priority.

“We were visiting from out of town and realised we needed our dog watched while we went out on a day trip. Yoskan responded quickly and was able to accommodate on short notice. She was flexible and offered updates throughout the day.”

About: I’ve had dogs for over 20 years and have had every temperament under the sun - including anxious and reactive. I also have professional dog walking experience - though I am not currently affiliated with any formal dog walking companies. *Please note some additional details about rates* I do charge double the regular rate for constant care (dogs that cannot be left alone). There is also an additional fee for same-day/last minute requests. If you live outside the Kingston area, I would be happy to help you but may charge an additional gas fee depending on your location. *Please also note, my husband is also on Rover (Alex B.). During busy periods or when multiple bookings conflict, we often (only with express agreement) work in tandem to fit people in. If this is something you are comfortable with, please let me know so we can both come to meet you in the initial meet and greet! We both work from home and love having so much time to play with our fur babies. My disabled mother also lives with us so there is tons of cuddle-energy to go around. We have a fully fenced yard where the dogs can play safely. We also live near a dog park we frequent often, and near the waterfront where we take daily long walks.

About: I have over 5 years of experience caring for dogs and cats of all ages and sizes. Friends, family, and neighbors trust me to walk, feed, and play with their pets. I’m especially good with energetic dogs and shy cats, and I always make sure they feel safe and loved. I’m currently available at anytime. I even work overnight and have very flexible schedule so if you need me for in the weekdays or in the weekend I’m always available. I live in an apartment however I live close to the park so I will take care of them at home and at the park

“What a great pet sitter, my dog was ansioux (sp), she took him for a ride in the car and a walk. He found the other dog toy chest and he was fine, I will use her again. You can tell she adores animals.”

About: Small dogs welcome in the bed with me. I can have your dog bed in my room to sleep at night. I treat my animals as my fur babies . Since I am up at night, able to let the dog out to to releave itself. I usually take care of my friends dogs as they know I love animals. Fresh water all the time. Lots of pets and cuddles of course! It will be wonderful to have a dog to spend time with but recently had knee surgery so not able to take your dog out for walks until I can do so myself. But since I am home all day, lots of company and interaction from me I have returned back to work Monday / Friday, as I had surgery and feeling better for dog walks that are good walkers on a leash, but my house has a fenced in yard. As for cats, they would have free range of my house. I have one 25 lbs dachshund, and 2 male cats. I can feed your pet on your schedule, I love snuggling of course. I have brushes that I can try if your pet is receptive, I have lots of toys and beds for them to try.

“Michael and family took great care of my dog -- taking her on walks and setting up a wading pool for her to splash around in. Their dog Molly was a great play companion. I was also grateful for lots of photos throughout the day.”

About: I’ve had dogs since I was 12 years old, and have had my own dog for 7 years. She is a small dog, but loves almost every dog she meets. Growing up we had many dogs, all different sizes. While my current dog is small, we both love big dogs. We love going for walks and playing at home. I work full-time but would love to help you out with your dog when I can. Whether that’s going for walks, or checking in at your house. I can also dog-sit your dog in my home. I have pretty open availability on weekends and almost every evening. If I am watching your dog I will not leave them alone for longer than an hour if they’re comfortable. I can stop in any evening during the week to check on your dog, or take them for a walk. If your pet is in my home, I will treat is as my own. We will relax, play, and go for walks. If the dog is comfortable we can go to the dog park as well! If we are going for a walk, we will go to parks if there are some nearby and stick to less-busy roads to keep them safe.

About: Growing up with our family dog I’ve gained lots of experience. I am very patient and loving! With my years caring for different dogs, I learned to be strict (any rules you may want your fur babies to follow), this helps me keeping them safe! I enjoy spending time with animals and pick up their personalities and traits. If you would like, I’d love to get to know your pets and have a great time together with them:) I am a university student. I am mature and dependable! I only have few classes at the moment so I spend most time at home and available for walks and play time. I have a good sized apartment for your fur baby to hang out. My cat Ellie can be super friendly when we take the introduction slow. I live close to city park and I would be honoured to walk your dog:)
