About: Hi I'm Kirstin! I am a recent Biology and Psychology graduate with a very strong passion for animals and their care. I have plenty of experience handling and working with dogs of all sizes, cats, rabbits, guinea pigs, hamsters, rats, ferrets, and some reptiles. I have worked in veterinary clinics, including an emergency hospital for a year where I learned about many different illnesses and helped administer treatments. I also gained experience handling pets of all temperaments and sizes, nail trims and ear cleanings, and have even performed CPR on several patients in the ER, including dogs, cats, rabbits, rats and ferrets. I have some experience farm sitting horses, turkeys, chickens, sheep and goats as well. I have had dogs, cats, rabbits and rodents as my own pets throughout my entire life as well. Additionally, I have volunteer experience handling cats and walking dogs at both Kingston Humane Society and Peterborough Humane Society. I have also volunteered at Sandy Pines Wildlife Centre and had the opportunity to provide care to our wildlife in rehabilitation. Last summer I worked as a wildlife technician in the Haliburton area handling several species of turtles. I'm currently studying medical laboratory science at St. Lawrence College and am available Monday through Friday (woth the exception of some weekend availability for drop-in visits!), working around my class schedule. I do my best to be accommodate your time preferences as much as I can! You can trust me to keep your dog safe on our walk, and I will always provide honest communication. I will always take your pets needs and preferences into account and provide the best care possible as if they were my own.

“Our biggest concern when having someone taking care of Oly is to have someone that can keep up with her energy level. From the beginning Hilary took the time to ask for all the details to take good care of Oly. During Oly's time with Hilary, we received frequent updates with pictures of them playing and going for walks. When we went back home Oly was very well excersiced and happy! We totally recommend Hilary to take care of your dogs, and we'll definitely try to book her again when we need someone to take care of Oly again.”

About: I love snuggles with dogs and cats but understand that pets enjoy different types of attention. I also enjoy training dogs to do tricks, as well as reinforcing previously established rules. I am a student with lots of extra time on weekends and some afternoons, evenings, and mornings to care for your furry friends. I also own a car and able to fit pet care between classes when necessary. I take a gentle, enthusiastic, and responsible approach to caring for pets. I prioritize a clean environment and take extra care to clean up after pets. I also appreciate a fenced backyard, but am happy to use a leash when letting dogs out for washroom breaks.
