About: For my whole life, we have had a family dog or two in our home. Since moving to Kingston from the west, I have sincerely missed the companionship and unconditional love dogs provide. I'm hoping to extend my love for dogs by caring for yours! Since I am a student, I have flexibility during the day while working a remote job for the summer. I am able to check on your pups or take them for a lovely walk until 4:00PM. I am fully comfortable walking and caring for dogs of all sizes as long as leashes and harnesses are provided. Additionally, I can spend time with your pup and administer food and medication, if needed.

About: Hi! My name is Ashleigh, I’m a second-year politics student at Queen’s University. I’m responsible, easy to reach, and I take looking after other people’s pets seriously. I’ve grown up around both big and small dogs, so I’m very comfortable with different breeds and temperaments. I’ve also had my own cat for almost two years, and I’ve lived with and helped take care of a kitten as well, so I’m used to the different needs cats have. I’m confident with feeding, walking, medication, and just making sure pets are comfortable and well cared for while you’re away. I am currently living in Kingston full-time over the summer, and only occasionally go away to visit family, so I'm typically available whenever you need! When I’m caring for pets in a client’s home, I try to keep everything as close to their normal routine as possible so they feel comfortable. For drop-ins or overnight stays, I make sure they’re fed on time, have fresh water, get enough exercise, and get attention and playtime. For walks, I adjust to the dog’s energy level and make sure they’re safe and getting a good outing. If I’m staying overnight, I keep things calm and consistent so they’re not stressed while you’re away. I’m also happy to follow any specific instructions, and I can send updates if you’d like, so you know everything’s going well.

About: Having grown up with no pets, I always jumped at the chance to do drop ins for friends & family for their pets. Now I have my own little pup and we enjoy taking walks out around town or the occasional hike. I have completed the certification of First Aid for dogs & Cats from the Canadian Red Cross. I have experience with all ages and breeds and welcome everyone! I typically work from home and choose my own hours so I’m pretty flexible on days and times, whether it be mid week or weekends. I walk with my pup daily and have space to do drop ins/potty breaks or walking every day. I have a fenced yard at my home, and my entire home is dog friendly. If your pup needs a crate there is one available (my pup is crate trained) I’ll take your dog’s lead on what kind of day they want, whether it’s calm snuggle time or more focused on enrichment or play outdoors. About: My partner and I have had lots of past experience with taking care of dogs! We have both had labrador retrievers, shepherds, Alaskan Malamute, border collies etc. We currently have an eight month old labrador/husky that we rescued when she was 9 weeks old. She is currently training to be a service dog but still has some puppy brain and enjoys playing with other dogs!! We have trained her in many domains and she currently knows: sit, stay, down, back up, waiting at doors, paw, high five, spin, around, crate, support, hug, off, leave it, and are working on much more. We would be happy to help train your puppy/dog if you are currently working on anything! I am currently in school so I am available to watch your dogs during the weekday and most weekends. Our schedule during the week and weekends would be potty breaks every 0-2 hours. During the work week we are happy to walk your dogs anytime during the day :) We have a partially fenced yard and our dog goes on a long tie to ensure she stays safe! She is crate and house trained and usually stays in her crate throughout our work days to ensure she is safe as she still likes to chew on wires! Our puppy and your dogs safety is our number 1 priority :)

About: I have lots of experience babysitting my auntie’s 3 dogs (Corgi, Newfoundland doodle mix, Golden Retriever) and my uncle’s Husky mix. I’ve always been very passionate about dogs and really wanted one, but have been unable to because of my mom’s allergy. As a university student, I have classes during the day but am usually available from the afternoon onwards on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Fridays. I live in an apartment on the fourth floor (we have an elevator), which is a little difficult for keeping large dogs in for extended periods of time, but I will make sure that your pup spends lots of time exercising outside.

HOME BOARDING at my spacious, ground-level apartment means that your cat or dog would stay with me and my pets for overnights over an extended period of time. You can rest assured that your feline friends will get tons of pats and cuddles, and that dogs will be walked twice a day with plenty of opportunities to run around the yard in between. All you need to bring is their food, treats, and leash! I also offer HOUSE SITTING. The house sitting option means Birdie, Bowie and I would stay at your residence round the clock, provided I don’t have any bookings for home boarding at the requested time. This service would be ideal for households with both cats and dogs, or for animals who have a harder time adjusting to new environments. My apartment is puppy-proofed, equipped with puppy pads if needed, two litter boxes (scooped daily), and lots of toys, beds, and treats for cats and dogs alike. It's clean and spacious, with big windows for bird-watching. I have a very large, fenced-in yard for tons of extra play time, rain or shine. I have installed pet gates with built-in cat doors throughout the apartment, so cats and small dogs can have their privacy away from the larger guests when I am unable to supervise. About my pets: I have two pets of my own: An easygoing, playful, and extremely dog-savvy black cat named Gigi Luigi (4 years, male, neutered) who loves making new kitty friends, and a flat coat retriever/labradoodle named Bowie (3 years, female, spayed). Both would relish the extra company and have been socialized to respect animals of all shapes and sizes. Both are also up to date on their vaccines. I think that covers it! I take Bowie for 1-2 off leash adventures every day, whether or not I am working. I have a large, fenced yard and a friendly pup of my own to keep yours occupied, and would be taking them on and off leash adventure at least once a day, regardless of whether I work. I also have the flexibility to pop into my home throughout the day on days I do work, so the pups get frequent potty breaks and are never left alone for long stretches.

Coming to your home: I always maintain a base line of respect and privacy when coming to your home. My focus is your pet and their well-being and nothing else. I ensure to abide by your norms such as removing shoes, and keeping away from private areas of your home unless required. I can check on other things in your home to ensure there's no upturned trash, water leaks, or other issues while you're away. If there are any messes in your home, I am more than happy to take care of them with your direction and using your cleaning products.

As a foster parent with the Kingston Humane Society, I have helped care for and place many cats into their forever homes.
