About: I have lots of experience babysitting my auntie’s 3 dogs (Corgi, Newfoundland doodle mix, Golden Retriever) and my uncle’s Husky mix. I’ve always been very passionate about dogs and really wanted one, but have been unable to because of my mom’s allergy. I’m a responsible student at Queen’s university who will make sure to treat your dog with lots of love. As a university student, I have classes during the day but am usually available from the afternoon onwards on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Fridays. My weekends are also usually free, so I will have lots of time to ensure the pups have a good experience. I live in an apartment on the fourth floor (we have an elevator), which is a little difficult for keeping large dogs in for extended periods of time, but I will make sure that your pup spends lots of time exercising outside.

About: Hi! My name is Ashleigh, I’m a second-year politics student at Queen’s University. I’m responsible, easy to reach, and I take looking after other people’s pets seriously. I’ve grown up around both big and small dogs, so I’m very comfortable with different breeds and temperaments. I’ve also had my own cat for almost two years, and I’ve lived with and helped take care of a kitten as well, so I’m used to the different needs cats have. I’m confident with feeding, walking, medication, and just making sure pets are comfortable and well cared for while you’re away. I am currently living in Kingston full-time over the summer, and only occasionally go away to visit family, so I'm typically available whenever you need! When I’m caring for pets in a client’s home, I try to keep everything as close to their normal routine as possible so they feel comfortable. For drop-ins or overnight stays, I make sure they’re fed on time, have fresh water, get enough exercise, and get attention and playtime. For walks, I adjust to the dog’s energy level and make sure they’re safe and getting a good outing. If I’m staying overnight, I keep things calm and consistent so they’re not stressed while you’re away. I’m also happy to follow any specific instructions, and I can send updates if you’d like, so you know everything’s going well.

About: I grew up always in the country and always had family cats and dogs, and was involved in pet care and training from a young age. I adopted my cat three years ago and enjoy pet sitting both cats and dogs! I have experience with walking and caring for reactive dogs as well. About: Hi! I’m a third year Queen’s University student who seriously misses having dogs around while I’m at school! Back home, I have six dogs of my own (yes, six lol! chaos, love, and fur everywhere), and I’ve fostered over 100 dogs throughout my lifetime with many different dog rescues. About: For my whole life, we have had a family dog or two in our home. Since moving to Kingston from the west, I have sincerely missed the companionship and unconditional love dogs provide. I'm hoping to extend my love for dogs by caring for yours! Since I am a student, I have flexibility during the day while working a remote job for the summer. I am able to check on your pups or take them for a lovely walk until 4:00PM. I am fully comfortable walking and caring for dogs of all sizes as long as leashes and harnesses are provided. Additionally, I can spend time with your pup and administer food and medication, if needed.

For boarding - your dog will for the most part have free roam of my apartment, and good potty training is expected. I would not recommend very plant-curious dogs to board at my home. Coming to your home: I always maintain a base line of respect and privacy when coming to your home. My focus is your pet and their well-being and nothing else. I ensure to abide by your norms such as removing shoes, and keeping away from private areas of your home unless required. I can check on other things in your home to ensure there's no upturned trash, water leaks, or other issues while you're away. If there are any messes in your home, I am more than happy to take care of them with your direction and using your cleaning products.

About: I have taken care of cats and dogs since I was a young child. Growing up in an environment full of animals has taught me great responsibility and the importance of following owner instructions and ensuring animal safety. I grew up with an Australian Shepherd and three cats until their old age. Then I grew up with a Bernese Mountain Dog, three more cats, and a German Shepherd. Cash, our German Shepherd, is 11 years old and thriving, and he lives a privileged life with his sister, a calico cat named Krissy, who is 16. As someone who leaves detailed instructions on how to care for Cash and Krissy, I understand and respect the rules that owners have for their fur babies, as they are not suggestions but rules to keep their pets safe. And I intend to do just that, while making sure they are happy. I am a student in Kingston near Portsmouth Village and available most mornings, evenings, and on weekends when I do not have classes (excluding Thursdays). In Client Home: I follow the pet's existing schedule, including walks and feeding. I make sure that all hazards are removed and appropriate doors are locked/closed to ensure the pet is safe. I also make sure that the environment is clean, including litter boxes and waste bags, for the pet's safety and to respect the owner's home.
