Hello there, fellow pet lovers! I’m Ingrid, an avid animal lover, who has a sweet spot for canines. I have had years of experience with dogs of all shapes, sizes, and personalities. Over the years, I have worked at boarding facilities and still actively train dogs in both sport and basic obedience. So here is where I come in! I offer: house-sitting services, drop-in visits, walks, hikes, and bath services. My experience not only with my dog, but also in boarding and training settings has given me a lot of practice in pet care. Working in the human healthcare field, I also strive to individualize the care I provide to ensure your pet is comfortable. Whether your pet has special needs, is reactive, needs extra time to warm up, or anything else, you can trust that I will be gentle and patient with them. In our time together, building that extra special bond with your pet is of my utmost importance!

We always have Ingrid stay over when we go away, whether it’s for a weekend trip or a longer one! Our dogs always adore spending time with her and she is very reliable and communicative.
Another great experience with Ingrid! We had to make a day trip to Ottawa and Ingrid stopped by twice to look after our anxious doodle! Came home to a happy calm dog.

My schedule is pretty flexible given adequate notice, so I will be here when you need me! Whether it is a neighbourhood walk, dropping in to cuddle and play with your pet, or looking after your pet while you’re away, I’ve got you covered!

Safety, trust & environment
Pets strive on a routine. To ensure they are most comfortable in the time you are away, I aim to keep them on a consistent routine and adjust to whatever needs they may have. I request of a history of your pet’s behaviours, your contact information, your pet’s vet contact information, and special instructions if required. I will ensure special care instructions are followed closely. Should an emergency occur, the situation will be promptly dealt with, and you can expect me to promptly get in touch with you (the pet parent), your pet’s vet, as well as Rover. You can also expect regular photo and text updates of your furry friend while under my care. If I am dropping in or house-sitting, you can trust your house will be in tip-top shape as well.
Pets
A typical day
Depending on your dog’s needs, I will focus on activities they enjoy. A typical day will consist of both mental stimulation, such as by playing with puzzles or learning a new trick, and physical stimulation, such as by playing tug or fetch and of course going on walks. I typically like taking my pups on walks by a trail or in the city, but that is location and dog behaviour dependent! Either way, I will ensure your dog is set up for success and is having tons of fun! For cats, the same would be applied. Taking the time to make them feel comfortable with me and giving them an extra fun experience is my goal. Whether that be going on neighbourhood walks, playing with interactive toys, relaxing on a couch together, or anything else, you can trust your cat’s needs are met and that they have a great time with me.
