“Meri was an exceptional caregiver for my pup while I was away for 4 weeks. She is an experienced dog owner, so she was able to help me problem-solve to make sure my fussy-eater got food and probiotics while I was away - no small feat! She was comfortable administering my pup's medications, and addressing any medical quirks. She stayed in regular contact with me, and notified me right away of any changes or questions. She sent photos almost every day, which helped me relax as I was nervous using this service for the first time. She took the pups for walks in the woods (on leash - per my request) - and sent photos! - and has a nice little backyard space for the pups. She and her husband were home most days so my dog had lots of company. As my dog is older, she made sure my dog had a quiet place to go if she got tired. Her pup, Cooper, was gentle and playful with my dog so that my pup had dog company too while I was away. She was also able to keep her cats separate, as my dog was tentative - but her cats are so sweet that my dog ended up not minding being around them in the end! I would definitely recommend Meri and her household if you need an experienced and responsible caregiver for your pup and need a kind and patient caregiver!”

About: I’ve lived with cats for the past 10 years in my childhood home (none with me in Ottawa) and I have lots of experience dog sitting for my friends! I’m currently a full-time law student at uOttawa. However, my schedule is very flexible and I am an active person so I’d love to care for a dog that can join me on my walks! I live in a studio apartment. I do have a balcony, however, the door to the balcony opens by pulling with full force only. I live right next to a large walking/biking trail-perfect for walks!
