“Selina took exceptional care of my cat, Ink, while I was away. She came every single day to feed him, clean his litter, and most importantly, spend real quality time petting and playing with him. Ink has asthma and requires medication, and he can be quite a difficult cat with new people. I was honestly very stressed about leaving him, but Selina completely put my mind at ease. She handled his meds perfectly and was incredibly patient and gentle with him. Every day, she sent me thoughtful updates along with beautiful photos and videos, which reassured me more than she probably knows. It made such a difference being able to see that Ink was comfortable and well cared for. I would strongly recommend Selina to anyone looking for a trustworthy, attentive, and compassionate pet sitter. I will absolutely be booking her again the next time I travel.”

“Keshia was amazing. We have two really nervous dogs. She was patient and worked with us throughout the whole process. I love how she sends picture and provides updates. Would recommend to her to anybody searching.”

“Fionna was absolutely lovely to work with. She made several drop-in visits to look after our three cats, and was highly diligent in her care, taking the time to write detailed reports after each visit and taking photos of our boys to send us during our month long absence away from home. She was also very flexible and reliable, going above and beyond, helping us when we needed two more emergency visits because our absence was extended by a week. Highly recommend her services!!”

About: I grew up on a farm surrounded by animals my entire life — caring for dogs, cats, and just about every farm creature you can imagine. That upbringing taught me responsibility, patience, and how to understand animal behavior from an early age. Now, as a proud fur mom to two energetic huskies, I know firsthand the importance of daily exercise, consistency, and a lot of love! Whether it’s high-energy walks, gentle care for senior pets, or sticking to a specific routine, I treat every animal like they’re my own. What sets me apart is my experience handling a variety of temperaments and energy levels — from calm cuddle bugs to playful powerhouses. You can count on me for safe, dependable, and loving care every time. I currently have my daytime schedule open, which makes it easy for me to fit in regular walks and pet visits. I love taking walking breaks throughout the day, so spending that time with dogs makes it even better! Whether it’s a mid-morning stroll or an afternoon energy burn, I’m happy to make each walk fun, active, and consistent. 🐕🦺 At my home, pets have plenty of space to play and explore safely — I have a fully fenced yard and two friendly dogs who love company. I always make sure new dogs are introduced calmly and comfortably to ensure everyone feels at ease. If your dog prefers quiet time or needs their own space, I can easily crate them as needed. Whether in my home or yours, I keep routines consistent, provide lots of attention, and make sure every pet feels safe, loved, and cared for. 🐾
About: I've grown up around pets and am a genuine animal lover. I'm very patient and passionate about animal welfare, and I've spent time volunteering at animal shelters in Kazakhstan, where I bonded closely with the animals and learned the importance of compassionate care. I strive to make every pet feel safe, comfortable, and loved. The most important quality to me when it comes to animals is patience :) Have 2 years of basic knowledge on training small dogs 3-5 months old, am comfortable with looking after and walking mature dogs 1yr or older. 12 years of experience with cats. Trained in first aid/was a lifeguard for 3 years/ comfortable in high stress environments, can act fast and stay calm in an emergency. Whether it’s daily visits, extended stays, or drop-ins, I make sure to plan my day around each pet’s needs to keep them happy and comfortable. I work part time on a flexible schedule. I have the most availability Monday-Wednesday. I always start by letting pets come to me at their own pace, allowing them to feel safe and in control. I take time to build trust, always respecting their boundaries and reading their body language. Patience is key, especially in new environments. Once they’re comfortable, I make sure they get plenty of attention, playtime, and care. Whether I’m in my home or theirs, I create a calm, nurturing space where they can feel secure and relaxed.
About: Hey there, fellow dog lover! I’m the person your pup’s been hoping you’d find. Dogs have been a part of my life for as long as I can remember. Think muddy paws, endless fetch, and the occasional epic game of “who can out-stubborn who.” I’ve owned dogs of every size, shape, and quirky personality, and I wouldn’t trade a single slobbery kiss for the world. Here’s what sets me apart: I’m certified in Animal First Aid through the Canadian Red Cross (safety first—always!). I also have hands-on experience in dog rehabilitation and training, so I’m the go-to for pups who need a little extra TLC or a gentle nudge in the right direction. Whether your dog is a high-energy ball chaser, a senior looking for some sunshine and slow strolls, or a shy rescue who needs patience and understanding, I’m here to make their day brighter (and give you total peace of mind).Let’s be honest, your dog deserves someone who’ll treat them like family. That’s exactly what I do. So if you’re looking for someone who will love your dog as much as you do—and maybe even sneak them an extra treat or two then let’s chat! Ready for your pup’s next favorite human? Book with me, and let’s make some tails wag! I am currently working from home so am available for walks & drop-ins mid day. I am also available anytime evenings and weekends as well. Holidays too if I am around! When I care for pets during drop-in visits or walks, safety and trust are always my top priorities. Before each visit, I make sure I understand your instructions, your dog’s unique needs, and any special routines or quirks. During drop-ins, I do a quick safety check of your home such as making sure doors, gates, and windows are secure, and removing anything that could be hazardous to curious noses. I let the dops out for a much needed potty break and top up water bowls. On walks, I use sturdy, well-fitted leashes and only go to places you’re comfortable with, whether that’s a quiet neighborhood street or a stroll through a trail. I’m always alert to my surroundings, keeping an eye out for potential hazards like traffic or other animals. If your dog is nervous or reactive, I’ll choose the calmest routes and give them space to feel safe. I clean up after your pet (of course!), refresh water bowls, and send you updates so you know exactly how things are going. Most importantly, I treat your home and your dog with the same care and respect I’d want for my own. My goal is to make every visit stress-free for both you and your pup, so you feel confident and your dog feels happy and secure while you’re away.
About: I've always had a deep love for animals and have grown up surrounded by many different kinds. My interest in pet sitting began when I would accompany my sister on her jobs, and I loved getting to meet new animals. I provide a range of services to meet your pet's needs. I always treat your pets as if they were my own, making sure they feel safe, cared for, and loved while you're away. Pet care fits naturally into my daily routine. I’m available to stay overnight during the week as-well as the weekend. I try to plan my schedule around your pets needs to ensure each pet receives maximum comfort and care. Your pet’s safety and comfort are always my top priorities. In your home, I carefully follow all instructions regarding feeding, walks, medication, and routines. I respect your home as if it were my own and aim to keep everything clean and organized. I also provide regular updates and photos so you can feel confident your pet is happy and well cared for.
About: I’ve been lucky to grow up surrounded by pets of all kinds, including some with chronic medical conditions, which taught me patience, empathy, and how to provide individualized care. I genuinely love animal company—sometimes even more than human company!—and I adapt my care to fit each pet’s personality, whether that means gentle, calm attention for seniors or playful, energetic engagement for younger dogs. I’ve also completed several professional pet behaviour classes with my own pets, so I understand how to help nervous or timid animals feel safe, comfortable, and loved. Every tail wag, purr, or happy snuggle is meaningful to me, and I strive to make every pet’s experience fun, comforting, and stress-free. I currently work a full-time job in healthcare, but am available on most evenings and weekends! I work the occasional shift work so am also available during the day at times. My services include walks & home visits to your house (either overnight or drop-ins). Due to my own pets, I am unable to take your pet to my house. I am a very clean and organized person and I would ensure to treat your house and space the same as I would my own. I will make sure your furry friends get the best experience I can possibly give, and tailor my care to your pet’s liking!
About: I have been honoured to be from a very animal Oriented family and have lived on a farm for most of my life. I have cared for and have given the best care and love to animals such as, Guinea pigs, cats, turtles, horses, dogs, and pretty much everything else you can imagine. I was born an animal lover and every animal becomes my family. I can identify special needs in any animal such as first aid, anxiety issues etc I work from home, so your pet has 24/7 attention. Be prepared for your loved one to get 3-4 walks a day along with an hour play time or a trip to the dog park daily! I have a fenced yard. My golden retriever is very patient and loves all types of dogs. If your dog is allowed on the couch or bed, well so is mine. I would rather your dog be able to cuddle and be comfy right beside me during the night to make them feel trust, and feel more comfortable in a strange environment I am able make every animal feel like home. Just ask my references … if your dog likes burger patties from McDonalds or pup cups from star bucks… I’m your girl… I am very experienced with highly reactive and aggressive dogs as well. Unfortunately, I do Have a dog of my own, but can manage very well as I am highly trained with aggressive dogs. I believe all dogs can be trained in a well loved and supportive environment once triggers are identified I spoil every animal like it’s my own! Great with puppies and super forgiving. We all make mistakes even if it’s our furniture!!! I have tons of training experience to make this not happen! I am fear based certified as I am a canine enrichment volunteer at the Ottawa Humane Society
About: I’ve lived with and taken care of many different dogs over my lifetime, including within my family and branching out to friends families as well. I have been seen as a go to for pet check ins, sittings, and walks. Recently, I have decided to branch out and make more four-legged friends! I work from home 3/5 days per week in Kenmore/Metcalfe/Russell/Greely area, and would be happy to take my lunch breaks to go on walks with your fur babies, or to do some check-ins! I am also open most weekends. Ensuring your fur baby feels safe, secure, and comfortable is my top priority! Sometimes new faces can be scary, but I ensure I approach new fur babies with love and care. Safety is also something that I consider to be top priority, which includes the safety of your pet and your home. Providing an animal with a fun nurturing environment is something that I take pride in!

About: I had the absolute honour to be a dog Mom for 15 years. My beautiful Benjamin earned his angel wings in September 2023 but I still remember how hard it was to find a loving & attentive dog sitter who had senior dog experience, and it was through Rover that I met some really amazing dog-sitters and I'm forever grateful they were part of Benji's journey. Benji had diabetes for years so I have extensive experience administering needles and oral medication. Benji was also a fussy eater so I’m also used to making meals tasty and the environment super relaxing to ensure your baby is as happy as they can be while you’re away. The primary reason for having a higher-than-average rate is because I promise to provide exceptional, safe, and attentive care to your precious baby. I’m also open to giving very frequent updates and photos to make your experience away from your baby as enjoyable as possible. I’m very mindful of safety rules and making sure you’re little (or big!) one is safe and cared for 24/7. I love dogs so much and I miss their beautiful love and light, and while I’m not ready to have another one of my own yet, I look forward to caring for your dog as I would my own. I love giving lots of cuddles, belly rubs and walks and I aim to make every dog feel super loved and adored. Right now I’m currently working in Ottawa for the federal government from Monday to Thursday. I work from home on Fridays, and I am available all weekend and would dedicate every hour to looking after your fur baby. I’m currently in transition to retirement, so I will be available for full-time sitting as of January 1, 2027. For boarding, I am comfortable spending all of my free time outside of work with your baby. I don’t have any obligations that would take me away from focusing on your baby’s care. I also live in a very quiet neighborhood, so it would be a peaceful and enjoyable experience for your little one. I look forward to meeting you and your precious baby! 🐶 I work from home 1 day a week (Fri) and have to be in the office in Ottawa 4 days a week (Mon-Thurs). I would be able to be home with your baby (Fri, Sat, Sun) but if you’re going on vacation and request more than those 3 days I’m more than happy to do 7 days a week, as long as you’re ok with them being alone on the 4 days I’m in the office (from 7am to 3pm). I have a fully fenced yard and live on a corner lot so there is lots to see and sniff even if just running around my yard, but I am happy to go on lots of leashed walks as well. Being a devoted dog Mom for 15 years, I was always extremely careful about making sure my Benji was safe and I did many things to avoid potential situations, such as crossing the street on walks if another dog looked aggressive, making sure I had eyes on him at all times and knowing what he was doing, even when sniffing the ground, making sure nothing was on the ground that could be hazardous. Nothing was more important to me than protecting my Benji and also making him feel super loved and relaxed. Trust is so important when choosing a dog-sitter. I’ve had a few negative experiences when I needed one in the past, so I know how awful it can be to search and have to settle for mediocre care when in a pinch, so it’s important to me to offer the utmost in care for your baby and for you to be assured that they are in good hands. I’ve had very positive experiences using Rover in the past as a dog owner & I’m excited to now be able to give positive experiences to other pet parents as a dog-sitter. I’m more than happy to abide by any and all requests or preferences that you have when it comes to your baby and I’d love to know their likes and dislikes and whatever else will make their stay with me the best time ever!
“Rebecca did a fantastic job with my little girl! The pictures she took made me feel very comfortable with the care Rebecca was giving to Lola. I would definitely have her come back and care for my little girl.”
About: Please note: I often have my kids with me during drop-ins, walks, or house sits. They love animals and are very respectful of pets. I’ve had lots of experience with dogs. My dog growing up was a husky but we’ve had quite a few breeds. I would love to get to know your fur babies and get to help take care of them! I offer a tailored, reliable schedule for your pet, including feeding, medication, and multiple daily walks or potty breaks. My top priority is keeping your dog comfortable, happy, and safe, sticking as closely as possible to their normal, daily routine to ensure a stress-free experience. Safety first: Experienced in handling, vigilant on walks, and fully committed to your dog's security and comfort. Rest easy knowing your pet is with a responsible caregiver.

About: Hello! I’ve pet-sat, walked dogs, and cared for animals in friends and family’s homes for over 14 years. Looking to do it more often and expand my clientele. I love animals and really enjoy pet-sitting in either my home or yours. I work 2 minutes from home so taking care of them during the day is very easy. These jobs allow me to spend time with animals which I absolute love! Please note that I’ve had this app for a while but only decided to take on clients a couple weeks ago. I am very excited to begin this pet sitting journey through Rover! I can provide excellent references if needed. My schedule is very flexible and I can work with pet owners to figure out a schedule that works best for us both (and of course your pets). :) As previously mentioned, I am unable to have animals of my own, so I really enjoy spending quality time with the animals I care for.
“Bridget was absolutely wonderful! She took such good care of my cat. She kept me updated with pictures and videos, followed all of his (probably over the top) meal instructions perfectly, and spent lots of quality time playing with him and brushing him. My cat is very shy but he absolutely adores Bridget and even began to greet her at the door! I would absolutely recommend booking with her.”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Embrun
We had a great experience! Caylie took amazing care of our big, energetic dog while we were away for the weekend, and we came home to a very happy pup. She was reliable, communicative, and did everything exactly as promised. She was also incredibly accommodating when we had a last-minute change, which we really appreciated. We’d absolutely book with her again!

Fionna has dropped in a couple times now for both my pups. We met her prior to scheduling and they both really liked her, specially my Lola girl. I felt like she was a safe and gentle person for my babies. I feel confident that they are being well cared for while I am away at the office. I have chosen to keep scheduling her for future bookings!
