About: I grew up on a farm surrounded by animals my entire life — caring for dogs, cats, and just about every farm creature you can imagine. That upbringing taught me responsibility, patience, and how to understand animal behavior from an early age. Now, as a proud fur mom to two energetic huskies, I know firsthand the importance of daily exercise, consistency, and a lot of love! Whether it’s high-energy walks, gentle care for senior pets, or sticking to a specific routine, I treat every animal like they’re my own. What sets me apart is my experience handling a variety of temperaments and energy levels — from calm cuddle bugs to playful powerhouses. You can count on me for safe, dependable, and loving care every time. I currently have my daytime schedule open, which makes it easy for me to fit in regular walks and pet visits. I love taking walking breaks throughout the day, so spending that time with dogs makes it even better! Whether it’s a mid-morning stroll or an afternoon energy burn, I’m happy to make each walk fun, active, and consistent. 🐕‍🦺 At my home, pets have plenty of space to play and explore safely — I have a fully fenced yard and two friendly dogs who love company. I always make sure new dogs are introduced calmly and comfortably to ensure everyone feels at ease. If your dog prefers quiet time or needs their own space, I can easily crate them as needed. Whether in my home or yours, I keep routines consistent, provide lots of attention, and make sure every pet feels safe, loved, and cared for. 🐾

About: I have been honoured to be from a very animal Oriented family and have lived on a farm for most of my life. I have cared for and have given the best care and love to animals such as, Guinea pigs, cats, turtles, horses, dogs, and pretty much everything else you can imagine. I was born an animal lover and every animal becomes my family. I can identify special needs in any animal such as first aid, anxiety issues etc I work from home, so your pet has 24/7 attention. Be prepared for your loved one to get 3-4 walks a day along with an hour play time or a trip to the dog park daily! I have a fenced yard. My golden retriever is very patient and loves all types of dogs. If your dog is allowed on the couch or bed, well so is mine. I would rather your dog be able to cuddle and be comfy right beside me during the night to make them feel trust, and feel more comfortable in a strange environment. I am able to make every animal feel like home. Just ask my references … if your dog likes burger patties from McDonalds or pup cups from star bucks… I’m your girl… I am very experienced with highly reactive and aggressive dogs as well. Unfortunately, I do Have a dog of my own, but can manage very well as I am highly trained with aggressive dogs. I believe all dogs can be trained in a well loved and supportive environment once triggers are identified I spoil every animal like it’s my own! Great with puppies and super forgiving. We all make mistakes even if it’s our furniture!!! I have tons of training experience to make this not happen! I am fear based certified as I am a canine enrichment volunteer at the Ottawa Humane Society

About: I’ve been around dogs my whole life and have experience with a wide range of breeds, sizes and personalities, from Yorkies to German Shepherds. My mom also bred a few litters when I was in my 20s, so I’ve spent lots of time around puppies as well. I currently have a dog of my own and am comfortable following whatever routine and care instructions you have in place. I’m home throughout the day and have a pretty flexible schedule, so I’m available for pet care during the week and on weekends. I can usually work around different schedules and routines depending on what you need. I have a fully fenced yard with plenty of space for dogs to get outside and play. I’m happy to follow whatever routine you already have in place, including feeding schedules, walks, litter box care and any specific instructions. I understand that every pet is different and will follow what works best for yours.

About: I’ve lived with and taken care of many different dogs over my lifetime, including within my family and branching out to friends families as well. I have been seen as a go to for pet check ins, sittings, and walks. Recently, I have decided to branch out and make more four-legged friends! I work from home 3/5 days per week in Kenmore/Metcalfe/Russell/Greely area, and would be happy to take my lunch breaks to go on walks with your fur babies, or to do some check-ins! I am also open most weekends. Ensuring your fur baby feels safe, secure, and comfortable is my top priority! I currently work a full-time job in healthcare, but am available on most evenings and weekends! I work the occasional shift work so am also available during the day at times. My services include walks & home visits to your house (either overnight or drop-ins). Due to my own pets, I am unable to take your pet to my house. I am a very clean and organized person and I would ensure to treat your house and space the same as I would my own. I will make sure your furry friends get the best experience I can possibly give, and tailor my care to your pet’s liking!

About: I had the absolute honour to be a dog Mom for 15 years. My beautiful Benjamin earned his angel wings in September 2023 but I still remember how hard it was to find a loving & attentive dog sitter who had senior dog experience, and it was through Rover that I met some really amazing dog-sitters and I'm forever grateful they were part of Benji's journey. Benji had diabetes for years so I have extensive experience administering needles and oral medication. Benji was also a fussy eater so I’m also used to making meals tasty and the environment super relaxing to ensure your baby is as happy as they can be while you’re away. The primary reason for having a higher-than-average rate is because I promise to provide exceptional, safe, and attentive care to your precious baby. I’m also open to giving very frequent updates and photos to make your experience away from your baby as enjoyable as possible. I’m very mindful of safety rules and making sure you’re little (or big!) one is safe and cared for 24/7. I love dogs so much and I miss their beautiful love and light, and while I’m not ready to have another one of my own yet, I look forward to caring for your dog as I would my own. I love giving lots of cuddles, belly rubs and walks and I aim to make every dog feel super loved and adored. Right now I’m currently working in Ottawa for the federal government from Monday to Thursday. I work from home on Fridays, and I am available all weekend and would dedicate every hour to looking after your fur baby. I’m currently in transition to retirement, so I will be available for full-time sitting as of January 1, 2027. For boarding, I am comfortable spending all of my free time outside of work with your baby. I don’t have any obligations that would take me away from focusing on your baby’s care. I also live in a very quiet neighborhood, so it would be a peaceful and enjoyable experience for your little one. I look forward to meeting you and your precious baby! 🐶 For now, I work from home 1 day a week (Fri) and have to be in the office in Ottawa 4 days a week (Mon-Thurs). I would be able to be home with your baby (Fri, Sat, Sun) but if you’re going on vacation and request more than those 3 days I’m more than happy to do 7 days a week, as long as you’re ok with them being alone on the 4 days I’m in the office (from 7am to 3pm). As of January 1, 2027, I will be fully retired and available 24/7. I have a fully fenced yard and live on a corner lot so there is lots to see and sniff even if just running around my yard, but I am happy to go on lots of leashed walks as well. I’m pretty good at interpreting the signs for potty time, but I love learning as much as I can from you about what your baby’s habits, needs and preferences are. Being a devoted dog Mom for 15 years, I was always extremely careful about making sure my Benji was safe and happy, and I did many things to avoid potential situations, such as crossing the street on walks if another dog looked aggressive, making sure I had eyes on him at all times and knowing what he was doing, even when sniffing the ground, making sure nothing was on the ground that could be hazardous. Nothing was more important to me than protecting my Benji and also making him feel super loved and relaxed. Trust is so important when choosing a dog-sitter. I’ve had a few negative experiences when I needed one in the past, so I know how awful it can be to search and have to settle for mediocre care when in a pinch, so it’s important to me to offer the utmost in care for your baby and for you to be assured that they are in good hands. I’ve had very positive experiences using Rover in the past as a dog owner & I’m excited to now be able to give positive experiences to other pet parents as a dog-sitter. I’m more than happy to abide by any and all requests or preferences that you have when it comes to your baby and I’d love to know their likes and dislikes and whatever else will make their stay with me the best time ever!

Growing up, I often looked after my neighbours’ cats, dogs, and rabbits while they were away - something i relished, as I wasn't allowed my own pet in the house (excluding fish, which i had many- i took what i could get!). Since moving out I have adopted several cats of my own and have continued to pet sit for friends regularly (both cats and dogs). They know they can always count on me if they need a sitter. :) Caring for animals has always felt like something that comes naturally to me; I love getting to know their individual personalities, routines, and little quirks. Most recently, I have cared, on multiple occasions, for three elderly and sick cats. Each has different health needs, medications, and eating schedules, so I made sure to carefully follow their routines and give each one the attention and care they needed. I also provided regular updates to assuage any understandable fears that the parents had. I’m reliable, responsible, and very attentive, and I understand how much trust goes into leaving your pets in someone else’s care. My goal is always to make your pets feel comfortable and loved while you’re away, and to give you peace of mind knowing they’re in caring hands. I recently moved from Vancouver Island back to my home city of Ottawa and am currently unencumbered by a full-time job. I am available 24/7 for attentive pet care, ranging from walks, feeding and check-ins, to multiple night stays. When caring for your pet in their own home, I want them to feel as comfortable and relaxed as possible by keeping their usual routine and giving them plenty of love and attention. I’m happy to take care of their everyday needs, including feeding, fresh water, walks, playtime, litter or bathroom breaks, and administering medications when needed.
