“We left our cats and Nutmeg our 8month puppy with Ashley while having renos done. I wasn't worried about the cats but very concerned about the puppy being alone for the first time and not having proper structure and regressing on her training while away for almost three weeks. Ashley continued to work with Nutmeg, even progressing her training! She has a lovely property with lots of outdoor activities including a 5km walk every day. I loved getting regular updates and pictures of Nutmeg enjoying herself. Nutmeg is on a raw diet and had supplements and allergy meds to take which Ashley administered and monitored. About: I’ve been around dogs my whole life and have experience with a wide range of breeds, sizes and personalities, from Yorkies to German Shepherds. My mom also bred a few litters when I was in my 20s, so I’ve spent lots of time around puppies as well. I currently have a dog of my own and am comfortable following whatever routine and care instructions you have in place. I’m home throughout the day and have a pretty flexible schedule, so I’m available for pet care during the week and on weekends. I can usually work around different schedules and routines depending on what you need. I have a fully fenced yard with plenty of space for dogs to get outside and play. I’m happy to follow whatever routine you already have in place, including feeding schedules, walks, litter box care and any specific instructions. About: I have been honoured to be from a very animal Oriented family and have lived on a farm for most of my life. I have cared for and have given the best care and love to animals such as, Guinea pigs, cats, turtles, horses, dogs, and pretty much everything else you can imagine. I was born an animal lover and every animal becomes my family. I can identify special needs in any animal such as first aid, anxiety issues etc I work from home, so your pet has 24/7 attention. Be prepared for your loved one to get 3-4 walks a day along with an hour play time or a trip to the dog park daily! I have a fenced yard. My golden retriever is very patient and loves all types of dogs. If your dog is allowed on the couch or bed, well so is mine. I would rather your dog be able to cuddle and be comfy right beside me during the night to make them feel trust, and feel more comfortable in a strange environment. I am able to make every animal feel like home. Just ask my references … if your dog likes burger patties from McDonalds or pup cups from star bucks… I’m your girl… I am very experienced with highly reactive and aggressive dogs as well. Unfortunately, I do Have a dog of my own, but can manage very well as I am highly trained with aggressive dogs. I believe all dogs can be trained in a well loved and supportive environment once triggers are identified I spoil every animal like it’s my own! Great with puppies and super forgiving. Catherine is a lovely person and you can clearly tell that she has a natural passion for looking after dogs and always has their best interest and safety in mind. About: Hi! We’re Selina and Pascal, longtime dog lovers with years of hands on experience caring for pups of all ages, sizes, and personalities. Over the years, we’ve shared our home with (and cared for!) everything from playful Pugs and Frenchies to energetic Aussies, loyal Golden Retrievers, goofy Doodles, gentle St. Bernards, cuddly Chihuahuas, and many others in between. We’re comfortable with dogs who are high energy, low key, seniors, puppies, or those who need a little extra medical attention, including medication or special routines. Our family team includes us both as well as my 16 year old son, Jesse, who loves helping out and giving dogs lots of affection. We recently lost our beloved Bella, a French Bulldog mix, so we have plenty of space in our hearts (and home!) for your pup. I currently work from home full time, so dogs in our care are rarely alone. And if I ever need to step out, Pascal works nearby at the post office and can easily pop in to keep pups company. Long story short: there’s almost always someone around! We’re dedicated to giving each dog the same warm, personalized care we’d want for our own; daily walks (up to 4 times!), playtime, cuddles, mental stimulation, and lots of love. Just let us know any special needs or quirks so we can tailor their stay to what makes them happiest. 🐶💛 Please note: we can’t host cats in our home due to our son’s allergies, but we’re happy to offer drop ins. Being a devoted dog Mom for 15 years, I was always extremely careful about making sure my Benji was safe and happy, and I did many things to avoid potential situations, such as crossing the street on walks if another dog looked aggressive, making sure I had eyes on him at all times and knowing what he was doing, even when sniffing the ground, making sure nothing was on the ground that could be hazardous. Nothing was more important to me than protecting my Benji and also making him feel super loved and relaxed. Trust is so important when choosing a dog-sitter. I’ve had a few negative experiences when I needed one in the past, so I know how awful it can be to search and have to settle for mediocre care when in a pinch, so it’s important to me to offer the utmost in care for your baby and for you to be assured that they are in good hands. I’ve had very positive experiences using Rover in the past as a dog owner & I’m excited to now be able to give positive experiences to other pet parents as a dog-sitter.
