About: Hi there! Let me tell you a little bit about myself and my experience. I’ve been around dogs my whole life. I’ve had responsibilities and experience with dogs for over 20 years. They have always been my passion. I have worked in animal welfare at an animal shelter for several years where I also volunteered my time walking shelter dogs of all sizes, ages, behaviour concerns, medical conditions, etc, in my free time. I have also worked in the veterinary field for the past couple of years where I handle dogs everyday. I have completed many animal handling trainings throughout the years as well as continuing my own personal passion for learning about dog behaviour. I have read numerous books in dog behaviour, done many webinars on different topics, attended seminars and conferences on dog behaviour and plan on doing much more. I currently have three dogs that bring me so much joy and happiness. I am happiest outside spending time with dogs and would love to help you give the best care for your pet. My schedule is currently flexible so if there is something you are seeking that doesn’t fit in to my availability, please send me a message and we can try to work something out. Your pet’s safety and happiness is my biggest concern and will always make sure to keep them on leash and in a safe environment that they are most comfortable. I would love to discuss your pets needs with you as each pet is an individual and there is no “one size fits all” when it comes to animals.

“Heather was absolutely amazing with our three cats! I’m very protective of my cats and I tend to worry a lot when I’m away from them, especially because each of them has a different personality and their own little routine. I left Heather quite a lot of details and instructions, and she was incredibly patient, understanding, and respectful of everything. She kept me updated throughout our trip with messages, pictures and videos, which gave me so much peace of mind. What made me happiest was watching our cats gradually become more and more comfortable with her. Even our shy ones started coming around, spending time with her, and eventually even sleeping in her room. It was very clear that she took the time to earn their trust rather than forcing interaction with them. ❤️ Heather went above and beyond in so many ways. She treated our cats and our home with so much care, and I truly felt that they were in safe and loving hands while we were away. By the end of the stay, I honestly think they were going to miss her too! 🥰 I would absolutely ask Heather to pet sit for us again without hesitation. Knowing that I now have someone I can trust this much with my babies will make traveling so much easier in the future. I can’t recommend her enough. I currently work a full-time job in healthcare, but am available on most evenings and weekends! I work the occasional shift work so am also available during the day at times. My services include walks & home visits to your house (either overnight or drop-ins). Due to my own pets, I am unable to take your pet to my house. I am a very clean and organized person and I would ensure to treat your house and space the same as I would my own. About: While I don’t currently have a dog of my own, I’ve spent years caring for dogs through family, friends, and my time helping at a veterinary clinic. During that time, I gained hands-on experience handling dogs of different sizes and temperaments, assisting with their care, and accompanying them to obedience training classes. I understand the importance of patience, positive reinforcement, and maintaining a safe, structured routine. Whether your dog loves long walks, playtime, or simply relaxing with good company, I’ll provide dependable, loving care and treat them like they’re part of my own family. I believe pets are happiest when they can stay in the comfort of their own home and maintain their normal routine. My role involved supervising dogs throughout the day, making sure they stayed safe, happy, and active. I spent lots of time playing with them, encouraging exercise, and getting to know each dog’s unique personality. I always try to stick to your dog’s normal routine so they feel comfortable and secure while you’re away. I’m happy to take dogs on long walks, play with them outside in a fenced yard or indoors, and make sure they get plenty of exercise, attention, and affection. I’m also comfortable with dogs who like to cuddle or sleep with someone at night if that’s what they’re used to. I’ll make sure your dog has fresh water, is fed according to your instructions, gets lots of potty breaks, and receives plenty of love and companionship. I’ll also keep you updated with photos and messages, so you can have peace of mind while you’re away. My goal is to make your pet feel safe, happy, and cared for until you return.
