About: Animal lover with veterinary clinic experience, a lifetime of cat ownership, and plenty of experience with dogs too. Comfortable with nail trims, expert level cuddles, and professionally certified in belly rubs and ear scratches! I have a flexible schedule and can accommodate a variety of pet care needs. This means more time for walks, playtime, belly rubs, chin scratches, and sending you the photo updates you'll inevitably want. I know trusting someone with your pet is a big deal, so I always do my best to make them feel safe, comfortable, and loved while you're away. I take the time to learn their routine, quirks, favorite toys, and preferred scratching spots (for the cats who allow it). With my veterinary clinic experience, I'm comfortable following care instructions closely and keeping an eye out for anything unusual. My goal is simple: happy pets, happy owners, and lots of photo updates along the way.

About: I've grown up around pets and am a genuine animal lover. I'm very patient and passionate about animal welfare, and I've spent time volunteering at animal shelters in Kazakhstan, where I bonded closely with the animals and learned the importance of compassionate care. I strive to make every pet feel safe, comfortable, and loved. The most important quality to me when it comes to animals is patience :) Have 2 years of basic knowledge on training small dogs 3-5 months old, am comfortable with looking after and walking mature dogs 1yr or older. 12 years of experience with cats. Trained in first aid/was a lifeguard for 3 years/ comfortable in high stress environments, can act fast and stay calm in an emergency. Whether it’s daily visits, extended stays, or drop-ins, I make sure to plan my day around each pet’s needs to keep them happy and comfortable. I work part time on a flexible schedule. I have the most availability Monday-Wednesday. I always start by letting pets come to me at their own pace, allowing them to feel safe and in control. I take time to build trust, always respecting their boundaries and reading their body language. Patience is key, especially in new environments. Once they’re comfortable, I make sure they get plenty of attention, playtime, and care. Whether I’m in my home or theirs, I create a calm, nurturing space where they can feel secure and relaxed.

About: ROVER is my favourite way to enjoy pets and new areas. I work as an education assistant. I work short days on a full time basis. I am able to take weekdays within Ottawa if your pets can be left alone during the day. Weekends, holidays and summers I can go anywhere for my Rover clients. I am currently also in business for myself as a BreathWork & Transformation coach, and have workshops both online and in person. I am certified as a Spiritual coach, Meditation coach, and Manifestation coach. I have both a SSW and Business Management Diploma. I believe in continuous learning. Since I was born, I have always had a pet in my life. The dogs I have loved included a German Shepherd, a Shepherd mix, a Husky mix, a Shih Tzu, a Rottweiler /Boxer mix and a Boxer /French Pin mix. The cats in my life included a Calico mix, a Tiger mix, and a Manx. As my life goals are coming to fruition, I know that this is not the right time for me to personally home, love, and care for an animal of my own. My children are all grown, and I am currently more interested in traveling, whether in my own backyard or halfway around the world, I want to see all that I can!! I LOVE to have new adventures, I am simply here to provide the love I have for my own pets to your precious furry family member while enjoying your city, town or neighbourhood. My home is currently in Ottawa, and as I have been recently hired as an education, assistant, I am able to take Rover clients on weekdays within the Ottawa area, if you are close to Orleans. Most weekdays, I may be at work for 7 hours. On weekends, holidays and summers, I am able to travel further for my Rover clients. Much of my family lives in Cornwall, so I love the opportunity to take clients there. I am also willing to drive to Montreal, Pembroke/Petawawa, Kingston, Toronto or Niagara Falls areas if you need me for 1 week or longer. I am able to take your dogs out for short walks, weather permitting, if they are not pullers. As I don’t drink, smoke cigarettes, or use drugs, that will never be happening in your home. I have great energy that animals can feel. Most timid or shy dogs warm up to me faster than you would except. My reviews showcase the results. I have a clear criminal record as well as a clear vulnerable police record.

Amanda went above and beyond on her drop in visits to care for our cat, Winston, while we were out of town. She made the time to meet with us before her first visit, and her updates were thorough and funny. She also got the best pictures of him to keep us posted on how he was doing! Winston can be particular about his people, but he was in great spirits when we got home, which speaks to how great his care was. We look forward to having Amanda hang out with Winston again in the near future, and are happy to have found an alternative option to a kennel with Rover!

About: Known to be VERY respectful of every fur parents' homes, fur baby training, feeding, walking schedules; loving, enthusiastic, responsible and timely, with strong communication skills. You can always trust me with your fur baby! I have a full time day job and work (on-site) 8am-4pm on weekdays. I also volunteer on Saturdays and have various classes sprinkled throughout the year. I work very well with furbabies who can be alone during the day. I strive to provide a safe and responsible environment. I follow each parents' routine to a T (whether that's feeding amounts or exercise times), so that the fur baby's schedule does not shift upon return. About: What sets me apart as an animal sitter is a lifetime of experience and a genuine passion for caring for animals of all kinds. I’ve been surrounded by animals for as long as I can remember and have had the privilege of caring for them at every stage of life, from tiny babies to elderly companions. My experience includes everything from daily dog walking to specialized care for pets recovering from surgery or living with health conditions. I’m comfortable providing attentive support to senior animals, handling medication routines, and making sure each pet feels safe and cared for. Whether it’s active playtime, quiet companionship, or following detailed care instructions, I approach each pet with patience and understanding. Pet sitting for me is more than just a service—it’s an extension of my lifelong passion for animal care. I treat every animal as if they were my own, ensuring they feel loved, secure, and well looked after while their families are away. I am currently balancing a part-time schedule which gives me plenty of flexibility to dedicate time to your pets. My routine allows for consistent check-ins and playtime sessions throughout the week. I am particularly available for boarding on weekends and can accommodate weekday requests after 2pm to ensure your animals get the attention they deserve. Frequently asked questions about Rover

The average cost for Pet Sitting in Bourget on Rover is $22.2 per visit (as of July 2026). However, all sitters set their own rates based on experience, location, and availability.

Rover makes budgeting the cost of Pet Sitting easy. As long as your dates and pet profiles are correct, the price you see before you book is the same price you pay for Pet Sitting. For more information on service fees, click here .

There are 1,258 sitters on Rover for Pet Sitting in Bourget. About 85% of Bourget sitters can respond to requests in under 60 minutes. Whether you’re planning ahead for holidays, need last-minute care, or need same-day coverage for an urgent trip, you can message multiple sitters at once to find available care.

Once you find the right match, you can arrange a Meet & Greet to ensure they are a perfect fit for your pet’s personality before confirming.

A pet sitter can provide focused care sessions, help your pet’s routine stay on track, or keep you updated on your pet’s mood and energy levels.

Whether you’re at the office for the day or travelling for a few nights, a pet sitter can offer poop breaks during a Bourget stroll, cleaning the litter box, or making sure your pet has on-time food or water refills. For daytime services like walking and drop-ins, you can also request sitters to send a report card with every visit.

Tip: You can discuss your specific arrangements with a pet sitter on Rover based on what fits you, your pet, and your sitter’s needs. To find what their special skills are, look at the "Skills" and "Pet care experience" sections on their profile.

You can coordinate how much supervision you want directly with your sitter. While every sitter’s schedule varies, here are some examples of supervision by pet care service:

  • Boarding or doggy day care: Many sitters can provide frequent companionship because they design their day specifically around the pets in their care or work from home.
  • House sitting: Your sitter generally stays in your home for the requested duration, which may include overnight care. They may step out briefly to visit other pet clients, but your home remains their primary base.
  • Drop-in visits or dog walking: These can be scheduled in 30- or 60-minute windows (and can be shorter or longer at your request) to help your pet receive dedicated attention and care during those specific times.

Interested in constant or 24/7 care? This service often incurs an additional fee but many sitters are happy to discuss this option with you.

Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Bourget choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!

Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they do not have any disqualifying offences.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.

For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.

Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.

Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a veterinary professional or offer other resources to help.

If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means Rover Support will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.

Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. On Rover:

  • 89% of sitters can help with special care needs
  • 87% can help with giving oral medications or injections
  • 96% can help with daily exercise

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
