About: I had the absolute honour to be a dog Mom for 15 years. My beautiful Benjamin earned his angel wings in September 2023 but I still remember how hard it was to find a loving & attentive dog sitter who had senior dog experience, and it was through Rover that I met some really amazing dog-sitters and I'm forever grateful they were part of Benji's journey. Benji had diabetes for years so I have extensive experience administering needles and oral medication. Benji was also a fussy eater so I’m also used to making meals tasty and the environment super relaxing to ensure your baby is as happy as they can be while you’re away. The primary reason for having a higher-than-average rate is because I promise to provide exceptional, safe, and attentive care to your precious baby. I’m also open to giving very frequent updates and photos to make your experience away from your baby as enjoyable as possible. I’m very mindful of safety rules and making sure you’re little (or big!) one is safe and cared for 24/7. I love dogs so much and I miss their beautiful love and light, and while I’m not ready to have another one of my own yet, I look forward to caring for your dog as I would my own. I love giving lots of cuddles, belly rubs and walks and I aim to make every dog feel super loved and adored. Right now I’m currently working in Ottawa for the federal government from Monday to Thursday. I work from home on Fridays, and I am available all weekend and would dedicate every hour to looking after your fur baby. I’m currently in transition to retirement, so I will be available for full-time sitting as of January 1, 2027. For boarding, I am comfortable spending all of my free time outside of work with your baby. I don’t have any obligations that would take me away from focusing on your baby’s care. I also live in a very quiet neighborhood, so it would be a peaceful and enjoyable experience for your little one. I look forward to meeting you and your precious baby! 🐶 For now, I work from home 1 day a week (Fri) and have to be in the office in Ottawa 4 days a week (Mon-Thurs). I would be able to be home with your baby (Fri, Sat, Sun) but if you’re going on vacation and request more than those 3 days I’m more than happy to do 7 days a week, as long as you’re ok with them being alone on the 4 days I’m in the office (from 7am to 3pm). As of January 1, 2027, I will be fully retired and available 24/7. I have a fully fenced yard and live on a corner lot so there is lots to see and sniff even if just running around my yard, but I am happy to go on lots of leashed walks as well. I’m pretty good at interpreting the signs for potty time, but I love learning as much as I can from you about what your baby’s habits, needs and preferences are. Being a devoted dog Mom for 15 years, I was always extremely careful about making sure my Benji was safe and happy, and I did many things to avoid potential situations, such as crossing the street on walks if another dog looked aggressive, making sure I had eyes on him at all times and knowing what he was doing, even when sniffing the ground, making sure nothing was on the ground that could be hazardous. Nothing was more important to me than protecting my Benji and also making him feel super loved and relaxed. Trust is so important when choosing a dog-sitter. I’ve had a few negative experiences when I needed one in the past, so I know how awful it can be to search and have to settle for mediocre care when in a pinch, so it’s important to me to offer the utmost in care for your baby and for you to be assured that they are in good hands. I’ve had very positive experiences using Rover in the past as a dog owner & I’m excited to now be able to give positive experiences to other pet parents as a dog-sitter. I’m more than happy to abide by any and all requests or preferences that you have when it comes to your baby and I’d love to know their likes and dislikes and whatever else will make their stay with me the best time ever!

About: I have been honoured to be from a very animal Oriented family and have lived on a farm for most of my life. I have cared for and have given the best care and love to animals such as, Guinea pigs, cats, turtles, horses, dogs, and pretty much everything else you can imagine. I was born an animal lover and every animal becomes my family. I can identify special needs in any animal such as first aid, anxiety issues etc I work from home, so your pet has 24/7 attention. Be prepared for your loved one to get 3-4 walks a day along with an hour play time or a trip to the dog park daily! I have a fenced yard. My golden retriever is very patient and loves all types of dogs. If your dog is allowed on the couch or bed, well so is mine. I would rather your dog be able to cuddle and be comfy right beside me during the night to make them feel trust, and feel more comfortable in a strange environment. I am able to make every animal feel like home. Just ask my references … if your dog likes burger patties from McDonalds or pup cups from star bucks… I’m your girl… I am very experienced with highly reactive and aggressive dogs as well. Unfortunately, I do Have a dog of my own, but can manage very well as I am highly trained with aggressive dogs. I believe all dogs can be trained in a well loved and supportive environment once triggers are identified I spoil every animal like it’s my own! Great with puppies and super forgiving. We all make mistakes even if it’s our furniture!!! I have tons of training experience to make this not happen! I am fear based certified as I am a canine enrichment volunteer at the Ottawa Humane Society

About: I began pet care when I was 10, helping care for neighbours’ pets while they were away on vacation. I also worked as a vet’s assistant in animal hospitals. This included the basic feeding and caring for animals in hospital but I also aided in vaccinations/wellness checks, and illness prevention. Through this, I also gained experience with animals with behavioural issues (i.e. aggression, nervousness, etc.). I currently work at a doggy daycare/dog boarding facility, where I supervise playgroups, walk dogs, and feed and administer any medications. I am currently a dog daycare attendant, so my schedule is very flexible around my shifts. I hope to provide your loved one with as much care and attention as those I work with! I would hope to provide a fun and caring environment for your loved one. I will care for your pet with the same love I provide for my own animals. I would enjoy playing, cuddling or helping out with any other pet care needs.

About: I’m an animal lover to the core. Growing up, we always had both cats and dogs. I have experience taking care of pets, whether it’s taking dogs on long walks or tending to indoor cats with various temperaments. I have over 20 years of experience dog walking and pet sitting for friends, family and neighbours. I also enjoy teaching pets new tricks and commands, and making my own homemade cat and dog treats. I have a chatty, cuddly cat named Mowgli and have a deep understanding of the roles our pets play in our lives. Our pets become members of our family, with their unique personalities, quirks, and unconditional love. I have plenty of time to dedicate to play with your pets while you’re away! I currently work from home 4 days a week from Mon-Fri and am free on weekends. I’m available for boarding anytime, and for house drop-ins anytime. I have a large home for your pets to roam around in, and a dedicated room for fur babies who might require their own room to sleep in at night. In addition, I have a backyard and live in a neighbourhood with many walking trails and parks outside my door. My friendly, affectionate cat likes to play with other cats and dogs of all shapes and sizes. You’re barking up the right tree; your four-legged friend will be in safe care while you’re out of town.

About: I am the go to dog sitter for all of my extended family, and I have sat for small to large dogs. And I have mostly sat for houses with multiple dogs. I work early mornings Monday to Friday, so I’m free during the normal working day. And full availability most weekends with advanced notice. And I can sit multiple days in a row. I can follow whatever routine you have with your pet. I can follow complex instructions, detailed feeding schedules and I have care for an elderly dog that required diabetes shots daily.

About: I’ve been watching dogs for 7 years now. I love all types of dogs. But the first dog I ever got close to was a pitbull. He was the first over night dog sit/house sit. I ever did, the couple would travel often due to work. So I would dog sit about 2/3 times a week. I did that for about two years and gained a lot of experience with dogs due to that job. I also find dog walking a great way to stay healthy and active with out it feeling like a work out. I’ve enjoyed dogging sitting ever since I started and don’t plan to stop. I’m currently a full time student online so I’m looking to make cash while staying active and happy and what a better way than to pet sit. I’ve loved animal since I was a little girl so being around them always brings me joy and as you’ll see they take a liking to me as well. Even the pups you think won’t, always end up loving me as well. I live in a very spacious one bedroom apartment with a balcony alone so they always feel free and nice fresh air. There is a courtyard in my building that is dog friendly and three dog parks near my building as well. So they will always have room to run and be themselves. I am a full time online student so I would be spending my whole day with your pups. They would always be in great care with love and attention. I have a nice courtyard in my building that’s pet friendly and they can play and I also have three dog parks in my area. Where they can run around and meet new pups if allowed I am currently an full time online student so I would be with your pup the whole day. About: With 5 years of Veterinary Assistant experience, I provide calm, compassionate care tailored to each pet. I’m comfortable administering medications, monitoring health conditions, and giving extra time and patience to senior pets. I believe pets are happiest in their own familiar environment, so I care for them in their home where they feel safe and comfortable. I value routine and clear communication, and before each booking, I like to go over your pet’s routine, personality, and any important dos and don’ts. Safety is always my priority. For dogs, I avoid dog parks and interactions with unfamiliar dogs until I know their communication and comfort level. My goal is simple: to keep your pet happy, safe, comfortable, and cared for like family while you’re away. ❤️ I work strictly overnight shifts at an animal hospital, giving me flexible daytime availability to care for your pets with plenty of time and attention. I don’t care for pets in my own home because I strongly believe in the comfort and security of their familiar surroundings. When pet parents are away, I believe the least stressful option is for a sitter to come to them—allowing pets to stay in their own space, routine, and comfort zone.

About: I have experience with taking care of 2 labs in the past, I grew up with them as family dogs. I had a german shepherd and currently have a 1 year old lab. I work from home and have plenty of time to take care of your dog. I am rarely away as we have 4 kids and a dog. I live on 4 acres of wooded land and have a 1 year old labrador to keep your pup entertained. Our property is surounded by trails that make for great walks. We take 3 walks per day.

About: I've had a pet ever since I can remember, life's incomplete without one. I have lots of experience with various sizes of dogs, and with cats. I'm comfortable around all animals. I work full time but have full availability in the evenings and weekends. I also wake up early and have time in the morning to spend with pets! I have been around pets my entire life. Their safety in the most important thing to me. Building trust and a connection with your pet will be my priority, so that they feel safe while under my care!
