“We left our cats and Nutmeg our 8month puppy with Ashley while having renos done. I wasn't worried about the cats but very concerned about the puppy being alone for the first time and not having proper structure and regressing on her training while away for almost three weeks. Ashley continued to work with Nutmeg, even progressing her training! She has a lovely property with lots of outdoor activities including a 5km walk every day. I loved getting regular updates and pictures of Nutmeg enjoying herself. Nutmeg is on a raw diet and had supplements and allergy meds to take which Ashley administered and monitored. I wouldn't hesitate to leave my pets with her again and have already booked her for October!”

About: I have been honoured to be from a very animal Oriented family and have lived on a farm for most of my life. I have cared for and have given the best care and love to animals such as, Guinea pigs, cats, turtles, horses, dogs, and pretty much everything else you can imagine. I was born an animal lover and every animal becomes my family. I can identify special needs in any animal such as first aid, anxiety issues etc I work from home, so your pet has 24/7 attention. Be prepared for your loved one to get 3-4 walks a day along with an hour play time or a trip to the dog park daily! I have a fenced yard. My golden retriever is very patient and loves all types of dogs. If your dog is allowed on the couch or bed, well so is mine. I would rather your dog be able to cuddle and be comfy right beside me during the night to make them feel trust, and feel more comfortable in a strange environment. I am able to make every animal feel like home. Just ask my references … if your dog likes burger patties from McDonalds or pup cups from star bucks… I’m your girl… I am very experienced with highly reactive and aggressive dogs as well. Unfortunately, I do Have a dog of my own, but can manage very well as I am highly trained with aggressive dogs. I believe all dogs can be trained in a well loved and supportive environment once triggers are identified I spoil every animal like it’s my own! Great with puppies and super forgiving. We all make mistakes even if it’s our furniture!!! I have tons of training experience to make this not happen! I am fear based certified as I am a canine enrichment volunteer at the Ottawa Humane Society
About: I’ve had dogs growing up, one at my moms and one at my dads, I now live alone and would love to help with your little fur babies! I have 4 pets right now two bunnies and two cats. The bunnies get kibble and veggies in the morning. The cats get wet food in the morning and at night. Dry kibble out all day and hay out all day for the bunnies. We clean their cage 1/ week, and the cats litter gets changed every 3 days. I’ve dog sat a few times for the same family and if you have a routine for your pets I’ll gladly follow what your looking for, I also have a routine for mine as well, so whatever works best for you!

“Sept 9, 2024: We left our toy poodle (13 months old) with Catherine for the first time. Catherine is a lovely person and you can clearly tell that she has a natural passion for looking after dogs and always has their best interest and safety in mind. Her home and yard are very clean and organized. We received regular updates on how our puppy was doing with pictures and videos, which was so nice to receive. Our puppy had the company of Catherine’s own puppy and the two played really well with each other. They have a backyard that is fenced and puppy-proof for a perfect place to get some fresh air and play time. We will be booking again with Catherine. About: I've been taking care of animals my whole life. Neighbors, friends and family rely on me babysit their pets while they are away, and call on me in emergency situations for advice with behavioural or health related issues. My love for animals knows no bounds - I currently volunteer with Marshall's Dog Rescue as well as Freedom Dog Rescue and only babysit when I do not have a foster in home. Ashley agreed to a meet and greet the day before our booking to tour the grounds and meet 2 other dogs that would be there the next day. About: I had the absolute honour to be a dog Mom for 15 years. My beautiful Benjamin earned his angel wings in September 2023 but I still remember how hard it was to find a loving & attentive dog sitter who had senior dog experience, and it was through Rover that I met some really amazing dog-sitters and I'm forever grateful they were part of Benji's journey. Benji had diabetes for years so I have extensive experience administering needles and oral medication. Benji was also a fussy eater so I’m also used to making meals tasty and the environment super relaxing to ensure your baby is as happy as they can be while you’re away. The primary reason for having a higher-than-average rate is because I promise to provide exceptional, safe, and attentive care to your precious baby. I’m also open to giving very frequent updates and photos to make your experience away from your baby as enjoyable as possible. I’m very mindful of safety rules and making sure you’re little (or big!) one is safe and cared for 24/7. I love dogs so much and I miss their beautiful love and light, and while I’m not ready to have another one of my own yet, I look forward to caring for your dog as I would my own. As of January 1, 2027, I will be fully retired and available 24/7. I have a fully fenced yard and live on a corner lot so there is lots to see and sniff even if just running around my yard, but I am happy to go on lots of leashed walks as well. I’m pretty good at interpreting the signs for potty time, but I love learning as much as I can from you about what your baby’s habits, needs and preferences are. Being a devoted dog Mom for 15 years, I was always extremely careful about making sure my Benji was safe and happy, and I did many things to avoid potential situations, such as crossing the street on walks if another dog looked aggressive, making sure I had eyes on him at all times and knowing what he was doing, even when sniffing the ground, making sure nothing was on the ground that could be hazardous. Nothing was more important to me than protecting my Benji and also making him feel super loved and relaxed. Trust is so important when choosing a dog-sitter. I’ve had very positive experiences using Rover in the past as a dog owner & I’m excited to now be able to give positive experiences to other pet parents as a dog-sitter. About: I’ve had dogs growing up, one at my moms and one at my dads, I now live alone and would love to help with your little fur babies! I have 4 pets right now two bunnies and two cats. The bunnies get kibble and veggies in the morning. The cats get wet food in the morning and at night. Dry kibble out all day and hay out all day for the bunnies. We clean their cage 1/ week, and the cats litter gets changed every 3 days. I’ve dog sat a few times for the same family and if you have a routine for your pets I’ll gladly follow what your looking for, I also have a routine for mine as well, so whatever works best for you!

About: I have taken care of my cat for 10 years. His name is Miles and he the most lovable cat you you will ever meet. I love animals and animals should always be treated with love, care and respect. I have taken care of different type of dogs throughout my life, small to really big dogs. Animals are just like us in a way, all they need is love and attention. Cats and dogs are our babies and its it's importmant to always have a structure in they're everyday life. . When i have other Dogs or Cats I make sure to set timers so they are able to go for walks, use the bathroom, have nap time, play time and always making sure that they are eating food in a timely manner and also food that is good for the them. I live in an Condo where they can have access to the balcony to get fresh air and sun but it is fence so no animals can go over. I also have a cat and he's super very friendly and loves to cuddle. I always take time to play with animals. its very important to give them as much attention as possible. I also play dog or cat shows. Believe it or not some animals love it. I currently work at home so it works perfectly when watching any animals. Also easy for when the owners would want an update on their love ones. I love to play with animals. They are part of us and its important to show affection and love to them. It's important to know your animals and treat them with respect as well as follow how the owners care for them and imply that as well. Making them feel comfortable is important.
About: I’ve been watching dogs for 7 years now. I love all types of dogs. But the first dog I ever got close to was a pitbull. He was the first over night dog sit/house sit. I ever did, the couple would travel often due to work. So I would dog sit about 2/3 times a week. I did that for about two years and gained a lot of experience with dogs due to that job. I also find dog walking a great way to stay healthy and active with out it feeling like a work out. I’ve enjoyed dogging sitting ever since I started and don’t plan to stop. First of all, their home is lovely and has a perfect yard where dogs can burn their energy. Second, they are so kind, welcoming and have a very gentle dog who got along great with my busy huskies. I was nervous leaving my dogs in a new place; however, they provided updates and kept an open line of communication with very prompt replies; which really brought peace of mind while being away.
