About: I grew up with 2 german shepherds and learned how to take care of big dogs since I was a kid. Currently I have a chihuahua who is my whole world but because of my studies she couldn’t come with me. I enjoy going on walks and giving the animals all the love that they deserve. I’m currently studying at Algonquin College, so I have the mornings and weekends off to watch the pets. I really enjoy their company and spending time with them. I know how to read the pets body language and respect the space they need. I follow instructions on how the cares must be and I can bond with them pretty easily.

About: I have had a dog since I was 4 years old and I have been dog sitting for neighbors and friends for around 7 years High school graduate enjoying a gap year with a part-time job. So I will have lots of time to spend taking care of your pet. I have a big fenced yard. I also have a dog that lives with me part time so the house is already pet friendly. Human food is kept out of reach and dogs will be leashed when out of the fenced yard.

About: I absolutely love all kinds of cats and dogs—spending time with them is one of my greatest joys. I’m a mom to a Doberman and two adorable cats, and caring for them together has taught me how to balance different personalities, needs, and routines. I’m confident handling large, energetic dogs that are well-mannered, and I’m also very attuned to the more subtle behaviors of cats. Growing up, I cared for small pets like rabbits, birds, and reptiles, which helped me become calm, adaptable, and observant. Whether it’s a walk, a drop-in visit, or simply spending time with a pet, I always aim to make them feel safe, respected, and comfortable. I currently have a very flexible schedule and spend most of my time at home with my own pets. I’m available for drop-ins and dog walking throughout the week at any time. Your fur baby will get lots of love, attention and playtime! While I’m not offering boarding at the moment, I take safety very seriously during walks and drop-ins. About: We have been taking care of pets for the last 6 years, boarding in our home as well as house sitting. Primarily we have done neighbour hood pets as well as OHS work. Currently we do not have a pet and are excited to love yours!! Dog Walking Availability: • Available for dog walking Monday through Friday, from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM. Walks can be scheduled within this window for your convenience. I have a fenced in yard and one friendly Australian Shepherd who loves other dogs. I have space to crate your pup if that is a part of their routine.

About: As a veterinary technician and animal owner (large, small and exotic animals) I can provide care to a wide range of critters. I am knowledgeable in both pet care and behavior training. I am retired and am looking for part-time work to fulfill my need for animal interaction. It is my passion!! I love working with all species. I am not set up to care for pets in my home at the moment. I have a senior dog who is blind. However, I can certainly visit client's homes to provide care or dog walking.

About: I have a love of animals that has become apart of me as I grew up on a farm. My favourite activity is to take the dogs to the park and play fetch. Responsible, dedicated, caring and a true animal lover. I spent 13 years riding and caring for horses, including routine and specialty care for injured or sick horses. I have spent many years at horse camps, which have allowed me to swim with horses and compete in shows. I still have a huge passion for horses; I have had to put that aside to pursue my education; I have a Bachelor of Arts Honours degree in forensic psychology, with a minor in neuroscience and mental health. I am currently completing a graduate certificate in Addictions and Mental Health. I have plenty of experience dog sitting for up to two weeks at a time, which includes feeding, walking, grooming, playing, some training, and cuddling. My degree in psychology has allowed me to understand the ins and outs of classical and operant conditioning, therefore making training less difficult for me to hone in on as a skill. I always make sure to go over the pets routine and over any specific care requirements and the best way to interact with them. I have navigated with scared, and aggressive dogs and gained their comfort and trust. I have level 1 and 2 pet first aid (dogs and cats) by the Ottawa Humane Society. My schedule is flexible, as my studies are online; I prefer earlier mornings and evenings in the summer. I prefer afternoons and evenings in the spring, autumn, and winter. I make sure to know where all of the supplies are for the dog, to be aware of any bad habits or potential accidents that could happen and how to fix the accidents. I always inform the owner how the day has gone.
