Since I don’t board pets at my place, all of my care happens in your home or out on walks—and I take that responsibility seriously. About: My experience with pet care involves my household animals as well as sitting I’ve done in the past. At my house right now, I own 3 indoor cats and 1 German shepherd dog! This leads to a very busy household with a very highly active dog and needy indoor cats. We love our house being busy with animals and have never had a home without animals. Before our German shepherd we owned a flat coated retriever which was a breed my fathers mother actually brought to Canada as our family used to show dogs and we briefly showed our flat coat in dog shows as well. Overall, I am just an animal lover and treat my pets like family. I currently work part-time as a server so my availability is super super flexible. I can easily switch shifts if needed to make it work with what you’re needing. In my home, my dog has a backyard where we love to play fetch, he also has a doggie pool so he can cool off when hot. My cats also have a cat tree and lots of toys. They also have dog/cat beds to have a safe space to sleep. There are also multiple water dishes around the house to keep them hydrated.

I have had dogs and cats my whole life, and also grew up on a farm with horses, rabbits, cows, and even a donkey at one point! I volunteered at a rescue farm and co-oped at a veterinary clinic in high school, and have experience giving different types of oral medication to both dogs and cats, trimming nails, and providing basic training. I currently live in a small apartment with my 2 cats and am always missing my parents' giant dogs back home in Ontario, so I'm hoping to fill my time caring for (and snuggling with) some furry friends to help cure my dog-sick heart! I am very active and enjoy going for walks and hikes in the area and would love to be able to bring a pet-in-need along! I am a hardworking, reliable individual and I really do believe that all pets are family and should be treated as such, with love and respect. Please consider me for any dog-walking or home visit needs :) Give your pets a cuddle for me! I work full-time but during the week I work from home and the hours are short and flexible. I do also work some longer shifts on weekends but those are scheduled far in advance, therefore I would likely not accept requests for days I know I will be gone 8-12 hours. I understand that every animal is different and has different needs, quirks, and tendencies and their care should be adjusted accordingly. “We tried Rover for the first time and we got Alexis She came to our house and met our Pugs, they liked her right away and she seemed good with them. She seemed friendly so we thought yes let’s try this!!! Because our one Pug needs meds I asked Alexis if she could come one more time before left to go over how we gave Zeila her pills and she was happy to do that We went away for 4 nights, Alexis kept us in the loop of how our dogs were doing and sent us pictures. My dogs seemed happy so we were happy. When we came home our house was still clean and Alexis even put her sheets and blanket in the wash, I didn’t expect that. While we were gone it was grass cutting day so I asked if she didn’t mind could she pick up the dog poop and she did. These little extras mean a lot as well but are definitely not expected I hope my littles were not too much for her, we spoil them by letting them sleep with us 😊. It’s just really nice to have someone to trust with our fur babies if needed. I would definitely have her back Thanks for taking care of Zeila and Finn 😊”
