About: I have always had cats and dogs growing up. I have a beautiful lab/shepherd named Daphne and a fluffy cat named Mini at home <3. I am an avid outdoors woman and love exercise and nature. I take Daphne down to the river daily :) she loves to explore and play as much as I do. My partner and I manage pet care with ease. We take Daphne to grandpas when we are both away. I work a 9-5 work week Mon-Fri. I am available after work weekdays, and anytime weekends. :) I treat all pets as if they were my own, and same goes for a clients home. I am a nurturing and loving individual; caring for others and animals comes easy. :)
“Christina was great with sitting my cat and dog! My pup was absolutely enamoured with her. My cat has high needs, needs eye drops multiple times throughout the day, oral medications, and can't reliably get around and Christina was able to keep him safe and comfortable. Thank you so much for all you've done for them!”

About: I’ve had a variety of pets since I was little and cared for them well. I am the go to for my friends and family when they are away. I’ve taken care of cats, dogs, rabbits, birds and fish. I currently work from home so I am flexible with my availability daily and weekly. I also have a separate space for pets who need their own area to feel comfortable if they are staying with me. I have parks and trails for daily dog walking. I am able to be flexible with pets needs in my home or at a client’s home. As a pet parent myself, I also have experience with pet grooming and administering medications if needed.
About: I have more than 22 years of experience caring for dogs and cats, as well as farm animals including chickens, pigs, alpacas, sheep, horses and donkeys. I’ve also fostered both dogs and cats for the SPCA and my local animal shelter. I’m comfortable caring for puppies and kittens, senior pets, large dogs, multiple-pet households and animals requiring medication. I have a particular soft spot for big dogs, but genuinely enjoy animals of all sizes, ages, personalities, and temperaments. I’m quiet, responsible and attentive to each pet’s routine. I know how important consistency is when their people are away, so I do my best to stick to their routines and do what I can to make them feel safe and comfortable. Pet care fits easily into my routine. I have flexibility in my work schedule and can provide regular walks, feeding, playtime, medication, and company throughout the day. I enjoy walking and being outdoors, so I’m happy with active dogs, but I’m equally comfortable with senior pets or animals who prefer a quieter routine. When house sitting, I’m able to spend plenty of time in your home so your pets can stay comfortable in their familiar environment. I care for pets in their own homes, where they can remain comfortable with their usual routines and surroundings. I follow each owner’s instructions carefully, including feeding, walks, medication, crates, sleeping arrangements, door and gate security, and interactions with other animals. Having owned a home for many years and completed numerous house sits, I understand the responsibility that comes with being trusted with both someone’s pets and their home. I’m tidy, respectful and careful to leave your home as I found it.

About: We’re experienced, reliable pet sitters with a genuine love for animals of all kinds. Through TrustedHousesitters, we’ve completed around 20 sits caring for a wide range of pets - everything from tiny Chihuahuas to large Akitas, energetic puppies to senior animals needing extra patience and care. We’re comfortable with different temperaments, routines, and special needs, including administering medication and supporting older pets. Animals have always been a big part of our lives. I grew up on a farm surrounded by chickens, ducks, horses, pigs, cats, dogs, hamsters, and gerbils, so caring for animals comes naturally to me. Felipe grew up with dogs and even helped start a community initiative in Colombia to find homes for street dogs - something he’s really passionate about. What sets us apart is the level of care and attention we give. Your pet won’t just be “looked after,” they’ll be genuinely cared for, engaged with, and loved. Pet care fits easily into our daily routine because we both work and study remotely. I work 8am–4pm PST with a lunch break and flexible breaks throughout the day, while Felipe has a fully flexible self-study schedule. This means one (or both) of us is almost always available for walks, playtime, feeding, and companionship. We’re currently travelling while pet sitting and are looking for opportunities in Metro Vancouver and the Fraser Valley. We treat every home with respect and every pet like they’re our own. We’re experienced in: Administering medication Handling pets with different temperaments Cleaning, feeding, and maintaining routines Coordinating vet or grooming visits if needed We love staying active, so if your dog enjoys long walks or hikes, we’re more than happy to provide that extra level of exercise and enrichment. Above all, we focus on keeping your pet safe, happy, and comfortable in their familiar environment while you’re away.
“Lily did an absolutely amazing job of taking care of our two dogs and cat. We came home to a spotless house. The animals were so calm, we could tell they had been well loved while we were away. All communication with Lily was prompt and professional. We felt very reassured leaving her to house sit. We would rebook her in a heartbeat”

About: I've been a long time dog lover and my family has always had pets growing up. From birds to bunnies to puppies, I've had my fair share of pets in my home. Currently, we’ve got two small dogs at home. I strongly believe that our pets are equal members of the family like us, and deserve to be treated so. Over the last few years, I've been repeatedly asked to dog, cat, and house sit by my friends and family. They were great learning experiences for me since I learned how to care for different animals with all sorts of personalities. I'm able to care for puppies, seniors, cats, and dogs of all sizes. I can administer medication orally or into ears and I consider myself quite good at potty training puppies. While I am younger and still learning, I know I'm very responsible and I tend to just click with most animals. FYI - Muskaan is my first name and Hannah is my middle, I go by Hannah, trying to figure out how to change it on my profile I’m currently a full time student at UFV so my studies are my top priority. However, I’m great at managing my time and my schedule is flexible. Currently, I’m available for pet sitting any day of the week. Due to the lack of space and the fact that my dogs are anxious, I cannot offer services in my own home. But, according to what you, your animals, and your space need - I'm able to accommodate and adapt my care. My number one priority is your pup's health and safety at all times. I'm able to take them out for potty breaks and walks as often as needed. I'm experienced with different types of harnesses and collars so they'll always be secure in my care. Also, I LOVE playing with and attempting* to train dogs so you can be sure they'll be mentally and physically stimulated with me. Regarding more specific needs (ie. they like to escape, not allowed on furniture, dietary needs, etc etc) I'm able to accommodate for them. I'm well versed with all sorts of dogs with different personalities so your wish is my command!
“WOW! What an amazing person. I’m so glad I connected with her. Not only is she awesome with the pets, she is very through with her work. Kept us informed throughout how the dogs and cat were doing. Sent lots of videos. This was our first time leaving our pets and boy she took all the stress away. Not to mention, our flight got cancelled due to weather and she agreed to sit them another day. God sends people along our way and I’m glad he sent her to us. Thanks Maria. The boys and Bella are going to miss you so dearly.”

“Sarah stayed with our cats and house-sat for a week during one of the hottest weeks of the summer! Not only did she take great care of the kitties, she also took treat care of the house and the gardens ensuring everything was properly maintained during our absence. We got regular updates and photos of all the cats from her, and she was very responsive to any messages sent her way. We have no hesitation re-booking or recommending Sarah for any pet parents out there!”

“Katrina and Tom are excellent pet sitters. They show such care and kindness to both the owners and the pet. They really take pride in doing the best possible job they can to make you and your pet feel comfortable and follow the instructions. You layout regarding any routines. They were fantastic with our 11 week old puppy and we would highly recommend them to anyone looking for help with their pet.”

I follow instructions closely and prioritize comfort, consistency, and trust at all times.
“Daria was wonderful. Responded right away and came for a meet and greet soon after. Looking after our "blind" Molly was no problem for her. It was daytime during the week so we were a little worried about finding a sitter to come to our house as nany only do weekends or only at there place during the week. We'd highly recommend Daria to everyone and we'll be using her services again”

It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Slesse Park maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Garbage & recycling: Taking garbage bins to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Slesse Park walking routes, the location of your favourite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Slesse Park choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
You can find what you need to review a sitter on their profile before booking with them. Each sitters’s profile on Rover shows verified reviews, identity check, and ratings to give a glimpse of how their previous visits went. You can also use the Meet & Greet to walk through your home, identifying which areas, like your bedroom, are off-limits or not. Requesting details of your home security through the app can also be a good way to have your sitter keep you updated about your home.
If you have security cameras or doorbells, Rover asks that you disclose them to sitters before you book.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they do not have any disqualifying offences.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a veterinary professional or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means Rover Support will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
