About: A large grassy area in front of the house on a cul de sad, several dog beds, dog-friendly neighborhood walks,...ideal for a fun pet overnight stay. I do not currently have my own dog but sometimes may take 2 dogs at one time. I study massage and dog psychology. Dogs who love touch or massages will get plenty of attention. It is a house with a yard, not an apartment. The yard is not completely fenced, so I use a leash 100% of the time until I know the dog very well, since there are sometimes birds and squirrels making appearances. Dogs spend a lot of time outside with me, weather permitting. Your dog will not spend time outside alone because it's just more fun to be together. About this sitter: I raised two Scottish Terrier litter-mates from puppy-hood and have cared for dogs and cats in their homes, dogs in my home for months at a time, and I enjoy walking dogs. I am soft-spoken and very patient. Shy, or sensitive/scared pets often feel comfortable around me pretty quickly. Pets should have joy in their lives so I enjoy giving them extra attention to help alleviate some of the stress when their owners are away. For overnight care at a clients' home, I like to stay as light and self-contained as possible. I'm in this for the love of pets and like to leave as little a footprint as possible! Experience includes: dog owner, cat owner, dog sitting for over 15 different dogs and 4 different cats (up to 6 dogs simultaneously or combo of 2 dogs/2 cats who were housemates). Why I love dog sitting: I made my first dog friend when I was 6 years old. Lalli was a seeing-eye school drop out and the sweetest dog I'd ever met. My aunt already had 2 cats that I loved by that point. I ended up helping a senior dog get past her separation anxiety and she and her folks gained more freedom. About my yard: Large grassy area in front of the house. Dog park nearby with well behaved friendly neighborhood dog regulars. My experience administering oral medication: I have done it and I will do it if a pet is not a biter or scratcher. I cared for 2 dogs during their hospice. I am open to doing that, at least to help provide respite for the primary caretakers. I am free to spend time with your dogs and/or house sit anytime except Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday from 8am to 7pm. Dogs that stay overnight with me will have a day sitter and dog company during the day. I am willing to accept stays longer than one week but we must discuss first to see if my system works for your animals. I live in a very walkable neighborhood with a park nearby and a large grassy area. I have an afternoon sunning deck, and plan potty breaks every 2-3 hours. Mini-massages and indoor play breaks are available throughout the day between dog naps.

This allows me to provide midday walks, evening care, and lots of attention on weekends. I’m available for boarding, walks, and drop-in visits in the afternoons, evenings, and all weekend long. About: Animal care is not a second job or a "gig" for me, it is my entire focus. When I am with your beloved friend I will be "with" them and engaged. As a Pisces, I experience animals as filled with a divine spirit much like people are, and they deserve my undivided attention. I have trained dogs, cats, and horses and have been privileged to care for many senior pets over the years. I can give pills, shots, and sub-Q fluids. I make special foods and treats. I have a delicious venison jerky your dog might like, and working on a salmon one for the cats! For walks and drop-ins I am very flexible time wise. Early morning to early evening, all good. For sitting, I CANNOT currently accept overnights. I can visit your pets several times a day, from early morning to late at night. But cannot "sleep over" with them as I have my own dogs that need my attention at night. In a client's home I carefully follow the directions and preferences of the owner. I take notes and make sure to get things right. I and am always respectful of their privacy. And of course I send pictures and videos! In my own home, I have a doubly fenced property. A fence around the terrace keeps dogs in, and a fence around the 2-acre property keeps totally contained. With cats they would never go outside, at my home.

About: Over the years, I’ve been so blessed to share my life with two incredible dogs. They weren’t just pets—they were my family. I was with them every step of the way, through their happiest moments and their final days. Losing them was heartbreaking, but their unconditional love left a mark on my soul that I carry with me every day. Not long after, life brought me another little soul to care for—a neighbor’s sick cat who needed a home. We faced some of the toughest times together during his illness, but against all odds, he pulled through and became my brave little hero. He’s taught me that love, patience, and a little extra care can work wonders. These experiences have shaped who I am. Pets have this incredible way of teaching us unconditional love, and they ask for so little in return. That’s why I’m here. Recently, I stepped away from my career to take a break, reflect, and focus on what brings me joy. Joining Rover felt like the perfect way to meet more furry friends and their wonderful humans. About: I've cared for dogs, cats, snakes, lizards, frogs, parakeets, hamsters, fish and turtles. I volunteered with Guide Dogs for the Blind as a puppy raiser and learned a lot about positive dog training from that experience. I can administer meds (pills, inhaled steroids, subcutaneous fluids) and carry out routine grooming tasks. I have had 4 dogs and 5 cats over my adult years but currently have no pets. I am recently retired and walk about 3-5 miles/day. Miss walking with a dog. I love cats and miss having one around. I am retired and walk 3-5 miles a day so I can easily fit pet care into my weekly routine and I miss walking with a dog. I am very responsible and will follow your instructions and treat your pets (and home if house sitting) with the same care as I would my own. I live on a quiet street in a safe neighborhood and have a fenced yard. I have a cool head in a crisis. I work with one client at a time. If you have two pets, that is ok with me.
