He is a rescue with a trauma history so he can become quite nervous when I am away-- but not so at all when with MIta and family!--who gave him so much TLC as well as lovely walks. MIta's calm and friendly older yellow lab also clearly was a very reassuring presence to him. I loved receiving the gracious daily photos so I could see how "at home" he was making himself. He came home completely grounded. I was able to enjoy my time away so much more because he clearly enjoyed his time with Madhumita. Thanks for your attentiveness to a sensitive dog, Mita!”

About: Cats have been a constant in my life. I grew up with four of them, and as an adult I had two cats, Vinnie and Lola, followed by a rescue named Lydia. I later fostered two kittens before setting off traveling, and cats have kept finding me on the road; I've lived with quite a few along the way. On a recent housesit I looked after a shy cat named Harvi who kept her distance for the first few days, and by the end of the week she was curled up next to me like it was nothing new. I'm comfortable with litter box maintenance, medication, and multi-cat households, and I always let a nervous cat set the pace rather than pushing for affection.

I really appreciate their flexibility in the duration of the daycare as I offer ram my estimated time to pick up Lacey. Right from the start, Rudi socialized Lacey with Rex, his Labrador with a brief two-tether walk. Provided periodic updates, pictures included, letting me know all was going well and putting me at ease. While she was there, Lacey had plenty of playtime with Rex, and slept longer into the next morning than she had before. Also fed Lacey her dinner (since I ran late), and took Lacey on a nice walk. Overall a wonderful experience for Lacey, as well as for me, as this was our very first “Rover experience”. Definitely recommend, and I will rebook if/when the next trip to the area happens.”

“Sumaira is always on time and I know I can count on her to take good care of my fur babies. While walking my Siberian Husky another dog that was unleased attacked my dog. Sumaira safely got my girl home and check her out from head to toe. She promptly notified me that the husky was attacked, however alright. Sumaira let me know there was a little blood on her ear, however she did not appear to be injured. I myself have had another dog attack us when we were walking. Sumaira did the responsible thing and notified me and ensured my girl was alright. In this type of situation that is best can be accomplished and despite this incident I will ask Sumaira to walk her again.”
