About: Hello folks, we have been a large dog family for over 12 years. Unfortunately I lost my puppy this year. It's too early for me to get a new pet but we miss him dearly. While I had him I was always looking for a family that could board him while I was out traveling or visiting family. It's time for me to return the favor to other dog families who need that support and help. I live near Sunnyvale downtown in a single family home with a large lot and know the neighborhood well. We offer a calm, home environment — not a kennel — where dogs get personalized care and lots of love. I send regular photo updates so you always know how your pup is doing. “Finding Margaret was a god send! We have a reactive dog who isn't always friendly and finding people who can handle a dog like that is not always easy. After searching through hundreds of Rover profiles I finally found Margaret and I'm so glad I did! We had a lovely phone chat about Max and his behaviors as well as the style of training/handling we prefer (she is familiar with and willing to work with all sorts of styles). After our chat we setup a meet and greet and Max did so well with her from the get go - not even a peep out of him when they met! He quickly bonded with her and was more than happy to work with her right off the bat. She even had him meet some of her dogs (which he handled well too!). It was clear Margaret knew exactly what she was doing and had the confidence to put Max (and me!) at ease. After the meet and greet we setup an overnight boarding session to really see how Max would do - and it went so well! Margaret was incredibly communicative and gave us updates as she slowly introduced Max to her other dogs, took him on walks, and just generally kept us informed how he was handling his new environment. I was extremely impressed with how smoothly everything went and I felt so comfortable knowing Max was in good hands. He is a rescue with a trauma history so he can become quite nervous when I am away-- but not so at all when with MIta and family!--who gave him so much TLC as well as lovely walks. MIta's calm and friendly older yellow lab also clearly was a very reassuring presence to him. I loved receiving the gracious daily photos so I could see how "at home" he was making himself. I am very good at getting dogs to listen to me, as I have worked with rather hectic dogs and gotten them to calm down. “Finding Margaret was a god send! We have a reactive dog who isn't always friendly and finding people who can handle a dog like that is not always easy. After searching through hundreds of Rover profiles I finally found Margaret and I'm so glad I did! We had a lovely phone chat about Max and his behaviors as well as the style of training/handling we prefer (she is familiar with and willing to work with all sorts of styles). After our chat we setup a meet and greet and Max did so well with her from the get go - not even a peep out of him when they met! He quickly bonded with her and was more than happy to work with her right off the bat. She even had him meet some of her dogs (which he handled well too!). It was clear Margaret knew exactly what she was doing and had the confidence to put Max (and me!) at ease. After the meet and greet we setup an overnight boarding session to really see how Max would do - and it went so well! Margaret was incredibly communicative and gave us updates as she slowly introduced Max to her other dogs, took him on walks, and just generally kept us informed how he was handling his new environment. I was extremely impressed with how smoothly everything went and I felt so comfortable knowing Max was in good hands. I would absolutely recommend Margaret for any sort of "special needs" dogs in a heartbeat! Your dog is in safe and caring hands.”

“My lab mix Steinbeck had a great relaxed time at his first overnight stretch (3 nights and days) at Camp Mita, after previously spending several good doggy daycare days there. He is a rescue with a trauma history so he can become quite nervous when I am away-- but not so at all when with MIta and family!--who gave him so much TLC as well as lovely walks. MIta's calm and friendly older yellow lab also clearly was a very reassuring presence to him. I loved receiving the gracious daily photos so I could see how "at home" he was making himself. He came home completely grounded. I was able to enjoy my time away so much more because he clearly enjoyed his time with Madhumita. Thanks for your attentiveness to a sensitive dog, Mita!”
