I'm so happy to find you Diane. Diane followed my notes and suggestions to the letter. My Rocky was not stressed out, very calm, and relaxed this evening. I highly recommend Diane's services. Just praying she can always fit my boy into her scheduling. Thank you so much for taking such good care of my boy.

Jessica and Matt are AMAZING sitters! We could tell that they truly love dogs! They sent pics and updates daily and made us feel at ease about leaving our baby for 9 nights which is a record for us. We were fully able to enjoy our vacation without worrying about his safety or well being. We highly recommend them!

About: Charlie sounds like an absolute legend 🐶 He is a 70-pound goldendoodle who is basically the perfect combo of big, goofy, and lovable. Charlie has that shaggy, teddy-bear look that makes people smile before he even does anything. At that size, he’s big enough to think he’s a guard dog… but let’s be honest—he’s more likely guarding snacks and personal space on the couch. Charlie’s the kind of dog who: • Leans his full 70 pounds into you like he’s “just saying hi” • Acts shocked every single time he sees his reflection • Knows exactly when food is involved, even if it’s three rooms away • Somehow takes up the entire couch while still insisting he’s a lap dog Charlie usually has that perfect mix of friendly, smart, and slightly dramatic. He’s great with kids, loves attention from literally everyone, and has mastered the art of looking deeply offended when it’s time for a bath or grooming. Charlie is not just a dog—he’s a full-time family member, part-time comedian, and professional heart-stealer. • I treat every dog like my own. Your dog isn’t just a booking on my calendar—they get genuine care, attention, and affection. • Clear, consistent communication. I send regular updates, photos, and notes so you always know how your dog is doing. • Reliability you can trust. I show up on time, follow instructions closely, and keep routines consistent. • Patient and attentive. I take the time to understand each dog’s personality, energy level, and needs. • Safe, calm environment. Your dog will be cared for in a clean, secure, and stress-free space. • Experience with different personalities. From energetic pups to laid-back seniors, I adjust my care to fit the dog. Teaching gives me a consistent schedule, which allows me to provide reliable, well-timed care for pets. With flexibility in the afternoons, evenings, weekends, and school breaks, I’m able to give pets focused attention and stick closely to their routines. I provide attentive, routine-based care tailored to each pet’s needs. I take time to learn their feeding schedule, walking routine, energy level, and any special instructions so they feel comfortable and secure. In my home: Pets are welcomed into a calm, clean, and safe environment. I maintain their normal routine as closely as possible, including feeding times, walks, playtime, and rest. Dogs receive plenty of exercise, attention, and affection throughout the day—not just quick check-ins. I supervise interactions closely and make sure pets always feel safe and relaxed. In a client’s home: I respect your space and follow your pet’s established routine exactly. I provide walks, feeding, playtime, medication (if needed), and bathroom breaks as instructed. I also make sure your home is left tidy and secure. Regular updates, photos, and notes are sent so you always know how your pet is doing. My goal is always the same—keep pets happy, comfortable, and stress-free while giving owners complete peace of mind.

If you’ll have Dolly again she’ll be back!!! She looked so happy when we picked her up and she’s been passed out ever since we got home. Thanks again!!!

Kelly was absolutely amazing with my dog!!! She sent multiple pictures, videos, and updates every day that I was gone. She was also very friendly and easy to work with. Her house was perfect for dogs with a very nice fenced in back yard. She had lots of toys and treats available, and she even had a crate to use since my dog usually sleeps in a crate at night. She asked all about allergies and how she handled being around other dogs. This was my first time ever using Rover and so I was nervous at first but I felt very comfortable leaving my puppy with her before I left. And the entire experience ended up being just perfect. I would HIGHLY recommend Kelly and will definitely be using her again!

Haley hosted our 10yo golden retriever in her home for 5 days. They have an excellent fenced in backyard and two kiddos to keep pups busy! Haley also did home visits for our cat, who needs insulin shots with his food. She came over once before our vacation to see how to care for our cat and we returned to a healthy and happy feline! The daily photos we got were such a reassurance that our pets were in great hands. We definitely will use Haley again for our future trips. Easy to communicate and coordinate with!

Shannon and her husband are just wonderful. I think I've booked them like 10 times and I'm never disappointed! In fact, my dog never really wants to leave them he loves them so much. They take such excellent care for my dog while I'm away. I get lots of pictures of him having a great time with lots of scratches, walks, and play time. I'd recommend them 100% of the time!

We had a wonderful experience with Jamie! She was communicative, reliable, and clearly cared about our dogs' well-being. We received regular updates and photos, which gave us peace of mind while we were away. Our dogs came home happy, relaxed, and well cared for. We really appreciated the attention to detail and the genuine affection she showed. We would absolutely book with Jamie again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a trustworthy and caring sitter.

98% of Burton sitters also include daily walks in the neighborhood during dog boarding stays. You can also request photo and message updates throughout the stay so you can see which Burton landmarks or neighborhoods your dog is enjoying.

If your dog is a little shy, consider booking a one-night trial stay! This practice run can boost your and your dog’s confidence before your trip.

Preparing for drop-off is easy when you have a checklist! To help your dog settle into their Burton home-away-from-home, we recommend packing:

  • Health and safety essentials such as their ID tags, vaccination records, medication, and emergency vet or secondary caregiver contacts.
  • Food and gear such as harnesses, collars, food (portioned by day), and an item that smells like you.
  • Special instructions such as a list of training cues, medical administration needs, or favorite hang-out spots in your Burton.

Tip: You can upload your dog’s routine and medical info directly onto their profile so your sitter always has the details at their fingertips.

You and your Burton sitter can schedule drop-off and pick-up in a way that works best for the both of you—and your dog. Most sitters offer flexible times for drop-off and pick-up but the easiest way to confirm those times will be through in-app messaging. Confirm your arrival time the day of pick-up and drop-off can also help keep the process smooth and organized.

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.

Many sitters in MI ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.

By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.

If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.

For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.

Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
