During walks, I always use the owner’s equipment and follow their preferences closely. Walks are kept calm and controlled, and I avoid crowded areas. Pets are never off-leash unless explicitly approved. When caring for pets in a client’s home, I strictly follow house rules and handle keys or access responsibly. About: I have been taking care of pets since I was a child! My love for animals has motivated me to enroll in vet tech school, starting this fall. I specialize in small mammals, such as rabbits and hamsters, and have owned my own. I have also cared for guinea pigs, parakeets, and aquariums. For dogs, I have experience working with both small and large breeds! I regularly look after my neighbor's dog, and love every opportunity I get to spend time with her. For cats, I have primarily done drop in visits, but have experience with administering medicine to shy cats by building trust over time. I currently do not own pets of my own, so I will be able to give your pet my full attention and care! I am currently spending my summer before starting vet tech school working part time, volunteering at local shelters, and shadowing at clinics. About: Hi! I'm Brittany. Nice to meet you! I have around 9+ combined years of experience petsitting and a lifetime of experience around animals. I have always loved animals and started dogwalking as a small side job in 2012 in highschool. I got my real start in 2018 working full-time for a small pet-sitting business, where I learned the ropes and built the skills I still use every day. Since about 2020 I have branched off independently and have continued to be a loved local petsitter for many clients in my area. Other than petsitting I work at a local pet store, if you know me please say hello! I value myself as trusted petsitter in my community, with many of my clients existing through referrals, past pet sitting connections, and from the pet store where I work. Most of my business actively continues through those channels, but I decided to keep Rover as a way to add a little extra outreach and connect with new families. I have experience caring for all kinds of pets including super seniors, puppies and kittens, and dogs and cats with a wide variety of medical conditions requiring administration of regular meds, treatments, or insulin. I am familar with pets with strict dietary requirements or regimens (dont worry its not too complicated!). I am comfortable handling strong pullers, leash aggressive/reactive dogs and have a gentle touch to be able to bond with fearful feral cats. I also have experience with aquatic pets, small animals like chinchillas, guinea pigs, hamsters, and rabbits and some experience with lizards and birds. I can also do water parameter testing on your aquariums if equipment is provided to me. Pets are truly my life! And I know your pets are Your life so I will always do everything to ensure your pets are loved, safe, and cared for while you are away and make sure we have lots of fun too! I work at a pet store 6 days a week from 10–6 with a midday break I use for visits. For pets needing 1 or 2 visits a day, they will happen before and/or after those hours. For overnight or 3x visit a day clients I will provide one of the visits during my lunch break. Since I work at a pet store, I can easily grab many forgotten or necessary items for your pet anytime. My schedule ensures I am usually only ever away for ~5 hours at a time. Pets I care for must be okay with some time by themselves, since my bookings are not considered 24/7 care (non -constant). If you need something more full-time, please feel free to message me and I may be able to work something out depending on the request. The schedule I keep generally works well for my clients and the majority of pet owners, but for special circumstances I can make adjustments for specific days if necessary Overnights typically include Dinner care through Breakfast care and a single return visit midday. I require all of my clients to provide up to date preferred vet information, emergency contact info and provide me prior authorization to seek emergency care for their pets. To this date I have never had to use that information for any emergencies, but I always ask for it. Other than that I will strictly follow rules requested of me, I never do any off leash without being explicitly instructed to, and will only ever provide pets snacks and food that are indicated to me to use for them. I will never take any unnecessary risks with your pet or with your home. I am always respectful with homes and try to leave them as close to how it was before or cleaner than when I arrived as possible. I will make sure plants are watered, mail is inside and check in regularly with images. I am also open to some video or voice calling with your pets if requested. I am unable to provide full home cleaning services, however, I will within reason wash requested items (such as bedding or towels), clean up after myself, and make sure pet areas and bowls are kept tidy.

I recently moved to the area, have two dogs with complex needs & have felt so comfortable leaving them in Stephanie's care. She's been helpful with medication administration, and has provided individually tailored support to both my elderly dog, and younger pup with behavioral difficulties. The dogs have a history of scuffles, and Stephanie has been able to follow along with the complex safety plan that I have in place. I've had a previous sitter reject my rescue pup because the dog was too traumatized and anxious. Not Stephanie! She was really confident with my anxious dog and was patient, participating in multiple visits just to get to know her prior to taking on dog walking while I wasn't home. About: I’ve had 6 dogs in my lifetime and of all shapes, sizes and personalities. I have never met a dog that I haven’t gotten along with and have been caring for mine and my friends dogs and cats when needed since I was 10. I trained each one of my dogs and take great care to respect them as the magnificent boys and girls they are. I really love animals of all kinds and meeting new ones is always the highlight of my day, and I look forward to meeting more! I’m currently applying to graduate school and studying for standardized testing, so my schedule can be as flexible as needed to accommodate for yours or your pets needs. About: After the recent loss of my sweet toy poodle Clarice, I've been excited to care for a beloved pet once again. As well as having her for years, providing the care required for a small purebred (with purebred health problems), I've earned such accolades as caring for a senior Shih Tzu through end-of-life, and earning the trust of a roommate's skittish black rescue kitty. I have some experience with larger dogs, like training hyper pitbull mixes to settle down on walks, successfully cooking dinner next to mouthy doodles, and comforting anxious poodle mixes. Currently, I own an affectionate and opiniated polydactyl Maine Coon mix... or something. We're not quite sure what part of his genes make him grow like Clifford the Big Red... Cat. I have a particular talent for crafty dogs and cats, as many of the pets I've known have been too smart for their own good (i.e. a doodle smart enough to find the steel wool so he can eat it). Additionally, my other job is seated all day, so if your dog likes walks that are more like intermittent runs, I just might be the walker for you. I'm currently working on a very flexible schedule that leaves me with afternoon and late-night availability on weekdays, and an open schedule on the weekends. I am excited to give your pet plenty of my attention and give your home care as well. It is important to me to leave your space cleaner than I found it, when it comes to pet-related debris.
