About: I would love to have doggy guests at my home by the lake for fun days and lake walks. I have had giant dogs, 160 lbs Newfoundland and a chow Rottweiler mix so I'm comfortable having larger breed doggy guests too if they are well behaved! I also have dog sat a few dogs with my ex boyfriend as he had a few clients, even a dog just had a surgery and with specific guidelines and medication schedule so I feel comfortable with the whole process. Case by case, I will stay and watch your Pups at your home where they are comfortable or have them here at my house, take them for lake strolls and chillax back at my home together. I have no animals currently and I do miss having them around. Hope to meet up for win win situation for all of us! ** note** This summer time has been crazy with inquiries for a while- and with my outdoor adventures, and with me starting a new editorial styling position soon and everything else, I was overwhelmed by requests and doggy guests at times, I apologize if I somehow missed getting back for a time! I love my doggy guests and I will try to reply as I can! Thank you and hope to meet you and your pups soon! Xx yukako. ** About this sitter: I love animals, dogs, cats, especially, but due to my freelance work and potential travels, I can't have one of my own. However, I miss my time with beloved furry friends! I just heard from my friend about Rover and I realize how perfect it is. I house sat a few dogs with my ex boyfriend as he had a few clients- and helped and took pups to lake walks, outdoor hiking, etc. and even cared for a dog just had a surgery and had to give them medications so I feel comfortable and familiar with following your care guide and schedule for your dog and have a happy fun time with them while you are away. I have had a 160 lbs Newfoundland and a mischievous chow mix myself and I do miss the doggy presence in my life. I would love to meet and greet to make sure we are all comfortable and would love to develop a happy dog caring relationship with you and the pup! I would also be comfortable to board/ take care of your dog case by case, at my lake view home- just convenient for lake strolls with your pups! Hope to have a happy furry meeting that works great for both of us! Why I love dog sitting I had my Sven the newfoundland for 9 years and Timber the Chow Rottweiler for 5 years. I raised Sven sice he was a 7 week old black ball of fuzz with giant paws to fully grown giant shedding drooling goofball at 160 LBS! He was such a mellow goofy dog that made our newly built at the time home a barn quickly with amazing amount of fur he shed and of course the beethoven style shaking off the rain and drool as soon as he came inside, but he was really like my furry child to me and He slept with us taking over a substantial area on our king size bed. Timber was a rescue and a smart mischievous one, bossing Sven around then totally kissing my butt..lol Dogs are really like having furry kids.. I do miss having them, but it is hard to have a large dog in a city, especially if you rent and travel for work or family months at a time. I'm a freelace photo stylist so it varies how busy I am depending on time of the year, and I try to visit my family in Tokyo too. Our first guest here was our friend's Basset hound Harley and since then This place has hosted a few doggy guests. I love having dog friends when I can and I'm home. I will understand how your dogs are your furry children and would love to take good care of them and pamper them. About my yard No back yard. Front yard where furry guests can hang out if he or she chooses to be outside with a leash. There is a small hiking trail down the street from my place so most likely I would take them there or the lake which pretty much is in front of the house, go have a nice walk and play then come home to relax inside. My experience administering medication Yes. I watched a dog just had a ligament surgery a few days before with my ex recently and they left a detailed medication schedule. As long as there are clear instructions, information, and emergency contacts, I would feel comfortable. It would be a case by case basis and I would like to meet both the dog and you the owner to see if I feel comfortable with the situation first, of course :) I have been a freelance photo stylist for nearly 20 years- my dates are flexible and I do work from home mostly as of late- furry guests are welcome and much loved company as I enjoy taking them to parks, beaches, trails etc. It is just a very natural fit for my life preferences :)) My place is the bottom floor of a big old farm house converted into triplex- so I have a small front yard I enjoy gardening and easy to take doggy guests out on a leash quickly as needed- there’s a nice trail down the street, lake WA is across the street, and a play field next door. I enjoy taking them to parks, beaches, on my kayak, camping, hiking etc etc. I love nature and animals. That’s truly one of my life long passion and calling! I’m really happy/ get excited to hang out with and take care of all different kinds of animal buddies 💗🤓 I’m a freelance photo stylist with varying schedules week by week- I only book doggy guests when I’m not too busy/ working from home :) My love for animal buds and working with them seem to be just getting stronger and I'm focusing more and more on training adpects after 12 plus years caring for them on and off Rover :))) I have recently gone through a dog training intensive to learn different ways of training pups as needed. I'm in the process of getting a few more certifications, but I do need to listen to my guts too as working with animals are not cookie cutter situations. My basic approach is still intuition based, listening to them, see what they enjoy/ like for the training motivation and have fun with them first and foremost. I'm kind of like a spoiling doting Nana combined with basic obedience training on an as-needed basis. I believe in their individual character’s free will and that's something I care greatly about. I tried to learn speed training methods too, but it's definitely not for me. My strengths are patience, love, care, listening, bonding with each pup first then establishing firm boundaries or desired outcome by reperitions. I have learned all the classic and operant conditioning methods, but I do not have any desire to create robot-like pups who are perfectly obedient to the needs of humans. I care about them first and foremost. I would love to help if I can to aid in shifting problematic behaviors, for the pups and their parents for improved happy day-to-day life :) Please lmk if interested in more details at the meet and greet :)) We can discuss possibilities when we meet in person. I do energy work too- have taken Reiki certification and what have you haha, as I feel their energy patterns and characteristics in person and possible problematic habits that developed unknowingly by their environments too. It's easier to spot that objectively as a third person too :)) My hope is to reduce problems and help aid in a happy less stressful life for the fur buds and their parents. I do think the method of board and train is quite effective- so I can discuss the contents of added possible training as I board the pups for your travel needs etc. Thank you for reading and looking forward to meeting you and your pups! 🧡🐶🐾 Xxoo Yukako. 💖😊 I typically take doggy guests to the nearby trail first thing in the morning when I get up- that’s about 1-2 miles. Then breakfast together, then I do my work etc. while they nap- then in the afternoon/ early eve, I take them to dog parks or fields or another trails etc. Then we have dinner- then we all usually relax :)) I take them out one more time before bed, wipe their paws, take their harnesses off and they sleep where they choose- some next to me, some on the couch, doggy guest beds, or their own bed or some like their crates. I usually book stays when I’m not super busy with work, and doggy guests usually come with me everywhere I go- back seat of my car is set up like a crate- with a divider, blanket, toys and bones- they usually like napping there after running around- and I try to do that so they just want to nap anyways- If I have errands or appos or short shoot day or going to a farm to care for horses, max they will be left would be 3-4 hours if that :)) Most of the time I like to operate like a temporary pack going everywhere together :)

I also have experience with puppies, including leash training, potty training, teething, and helping them learn basic routines. I take a calm, patient approach and love helping dogs feel safe, understood, and well cared for. 🐱 Cat & Kitten Care My rescue cat started out skittish but eventually became super affectionate—he taught me a lot about building trust and reading feline behavior. I’m gentle, consistent, and mindful in giving each cat the space, structure, and care they need. 🐕🦺 Medical & Special Needs I’ve cared for several pets with medical and behavioral/emotional needs like separation anxiety.
