About: I’m a loving and reliable pet sitter with experience caring for dogs, cats, and bunnies. I recently owned bunnies for a year before attending law school and have pet-sitting experience with both dogs and cats. I’m comfortable with walks, check-ins, feeding, playtime, and house sitting. I treat every pet like family and prioritize their safety, comfort, and happiness! As a law student, I’m available most weekdays from 4–9 PM and have greater flexibility on weekends. I’m available for evening walks and check-ins during the week, as well as morning and evening care on weekends. I’m also available for weekend house-sitting and may be able to accommodate weekday house-sitting depending on the distance from school. I’m unavailable on Sunday mornings during church. I care for every pet with patience, attention, and lots of love! In a client’s home, I follow their pet’s normal routine for feeding, walks, playtime, medication if needed, and potty breaks. I also make sure they’re safe, comfortable, and getting plenty of attention while their owner is away. I’m happy to send updates and photos so you can have peace of mind knowing your pet is being well cared for. I’m also happy to help with simple household chores while house-sitting, such as bringing in mail, taking out the trash, watering plants, and keeping the home tidy.
“Jessica is hands down the best! We’ve been repeat customers over the last couple years & have a great experience every single time 🙌 Always so friendly & great to work with. Feels good knowing our fur baby is in good hands! 🐶♥️”
About: I have owned and cared for many pets over the years but I've never have I ever gone a day in my life without a dog at my side. In high school, I received an animal psychology certificate From Halloy and Hugo where I studied the behavior and mentality of dogs and cats. They even had a section on rabbits. My family currently has 3 dogs (Winston, Buddy, and Toby), a leopard gecko (Randel), and a tortoise (Artemis). I am currently going to college in Spartanburg, SC while taking care of Artemis and Toby, who had recently hurt his back, in my apartment. I love going to new places, meeting new people, and new animals. I love caring for dogs of all sizes and I can't wait to meet new friends.
About: I am a college student paying my way through school! I’ve had all kinds of pets my whole life and being able to take care of animals as much as I can is a joy of mine :) I’m a student so I have classes during the week, but my weekends are open Friday, Saturday, and Sunday for drop-ins and walks! My dogs are my babies, they are part of the family, I fly with them, take them on walks every morning, and settling down the night cozied up with my pups is the best part of my day.

“I booked Blayne last minute after another caregiver fell through! Blayne took excellent care of my cat, Gracie! She followed all instructions and sent cute videos and photos of her while I was away for a wedding!! Highly recommend!”

About: I’ve always had a deep love and passion for dogs. Caring for them has never felt like a responsibility to me — it’s something that genuinely brings me happiness and purpose. One of my most meaningful experiences was helping my dog safely give birth to seven beautiful puppies and being there every step of the way to care for them as they grew. From the moment they were born, I made sure each puppy was healthy, well-fed, clean, loved, and properly cared for. I dedicated my time and patience to house training all seven puppies, teaching them potty training, crate training, basic commands like sitting, and understanding boundaries around the home. I even trained them not to leave the yard despite not having a gate, showing them discipline, trust, and consistency through positive reinforcement and daily attention. I believe dogs deserve love, patience, protection, and gentle guidance. I naturally create safe, comforting environments where animals feel secure and cared for. I pay close attention to their behavior, emotions, routines, and needs to ensure they stay happy and healthy at all times. Whether it’s feeding schedules, playtime, exercise, grooming, or simply giving them affection and companionship, I always go above and beyond to make sure every dog feels like family. Being around dogs has taught me responsibility, compassion, patience, and unconditional love. I take pride in treating every dog as if they were my own, and I’m committed to providing dependable, trustworthy, and loving care that owners can feel confident in. As a full-time dog sitter and babysitter, as well as a member of the Navy Reserves, my days are built around responsibility, reliability, and structure. I start each morning with a workout before taking care of errands and preparing for the day ahead. Whenever I have a babysitting or dog-sitting commitment, it becomes my top priority, and I dedicate my time and attention to ensuring that every child or pet in my care feels safe, comfortable, and well looked after. My military background has taught me discipline, accountability, and the importance of following through on my commitments. Whether I'm caring for children or pets, I strive to provide dependable, attentive care that gives families peace of mind while they're away. Whether I’m caring for pets in my home or in a client’s home, I treat every animal with the same love, patience, and attention that I would give my own. I understand that every pet has unique needs, routines, and preferences, so I make it a priority to follow the owner's instructions carefully and consistently. From feeding schedules and exercise to medications and special care requirements, I ensure that each pet receives the exact care their owner expects. My goal is to provide a safe, comfortable, and stress-free environment where pets feel secure and well cared for while their families are away.

I grew up as the go-to neighborhood dog walker and pet sitter, and caring for animals has always been second nature to me. From a young age, I've been surrounded by all kinds of pets, dogs, cats, rabbits, birds, reptiles, you name it! Today, my home is shared with my two dogs, two chinchillas, bunny, and my two ferrets, so I’m very familiar and comfortable with animals of all types, personalities, and care needs. I also am a volunteer at the greater chicago ferret association, and assist in caring for 70+ ferrets! Whether your pet is high-energy, shy, or needs special attention, I bring patience, knowledge, and genuine affection to every visit. Let me know how I can help, walks, drop-ins, overnight care, I’ve got you covered! As a full-time law student, I keep a structured schedule that allows me to balance my studies with pet care, something that brings me both joy and a much-needed break from textbooks! I’m available for walks, drop-ins, and sittings outside of class hours during the week, including mornings, evenings, and weekends. My schedule is flexible, especially with advance notice. During the summer and school breaks, I have full availability and can accommodate a wide range of pet care needs, including longer stays, extended walks, or multiple daily visits. Since I already care for multiple pets of my own, tending to animals is a natural and fulfilling part of my daily routine. I love incorporating pet care into my day, it keeps me grounded and active, and I treat every pet like they’re family. Whether I’m caring for pets in my home or yours, my priority is always to make sure each animal feels safe, comfortable, and loved. About: With a lifetime of experience caring for a wide variety of animals, from cats and dogs to hamsters, guinea pigs, and even reptiles like turtles and lizards, I offer compassionate and reliable pet-sitting services. As a pet parent to my own two cats and two dogs, alongside my caring boyfriend, I understand the importance of providing a loving and safe environment for your beloved companions. Having provided pet-sitting for my family for many years, I am eager to extend my care to your furry, scaly, or feathered friends! I’m currently only working part time as a bartender and a server at 2 different jobs. So managing my time is pretty easy considering I can request off easily in advance or get a shift covered by someone else if necessary. I reside in a spacious 3 bedroom house in Baton Rouge with my boyfriend, providing ample space for pet care. While I'm unable to host other pets in my home due to my pit bulls reactivity, I do have experience with aggressive dogs. My pets follow a strict daily schedule, maintained with my boyfriend's help. As an owner of larger breeds (Pitbull and German Shepherd), I'm comfortable handling bigger dogs, even in apartment settings, thanks to daily walks down three flights of stairs at our old place. I'm also experienced in administering medications and catering to pets with special needs, ensuring your pet receives the personalized care they require.

Frequently asked questions about Rover
Rover is the largest marketplace for local pet care. Whether you're looking for pet sitters, dog walkers, or house sitters who specialize in pet sitting, you can narrow your search by entering your ZIP code to find sitters within walking distance in your neighborhood.
You and your sitter can agree on a care schedule that fits your pet’s routine and the sitter’s availability. Pet Sitting can be booked as a one-time or recurring drop-in visit. If you need overnight care or dog walks, you may also be able to book House Sitting or Dog Walking through Rover with the same sitter, provided they offer those services.
Before booking, confirm:
- the timing, length, and frequency of visits;
- the care instructions the sitter should follow;
- which parts of your pet’s usual routine should be prioritized;
- how often you would like to receive messages, photos, or other updates.
Not every sitter offers the same services, availability, or booking options. Review their profile and discuss the care you need through Rover before booking each service.
If you would like updates while you’re away, you can discuss with your sitter how many or how frequent you’d like those updates to be. The Rover app allows sitters to send photos, videos, and messages about your pet, including how many pee or poop breaks occurred. You can message your sitter at any time through the app and our support team is available 24/7 by email or chat if you have concerns.
The personalized, in-home nature of pet care through Rover can mean more individual attention for your pet.
Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page.
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee, which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a casual meeting to vet potential sitters and communicate care needs for peace of mind before a booking begins. Only sitters who have never booked with you before can schedule a Meet & Greet on Rover; however, you are welcome to coordinate one in Rover messages with sitters you have previously booked. This can be helpful if you have a new pet or routine you want to go over with your sitter.
Meet & Greets can take place in person or virtually. If you are booking with a sitter for the first time, we recommend in-person Meet & Greets to get a clearer sense of how your sitter interacts with your pet or the new environment.
During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Meet & Greets are a great way to prepare your pet and sitter for longer stays or first-time bookings. Read our tips for your first Meet & Greet.
sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their contact information. Sitters may set a same-day, one-, three-, or seven-day cancellation policy. Cancelling within your sitter’s cancellation policy qualifies you for a full refund.
Same-day cancellations for recurring services, which include walks, drop-ins, and day care, follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for pet boarding and house sitting, if you cancel after 12 pm on the applicable cancellation deadline, you’ll receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for any remaining days.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means you will get a full refund and our support team will work with you to find a replacement sitter.
