About: What sets me apart as a pet sitter is my lifelong passion for animals, combined with a professional background in caregiving. I’ve cared for a wide range of pets—from fish and hamsters to rabbits, turtles, hedgehogs and of course, dogs. My original childhood dream of becoming a veterinarian eventually led me to earn degrees in both biology and nursing. Today, I’m a registered nurse, and while I take pride in caring for people, I find even greater joy in caring for animals. I’m a dedicated dog-mom to two doodles we raised from puppyhood, so I’m well-versed in potty training, clicker training, crate training, and using positive reinforcement. I’m also comfortable caring for senior dogs and pets with medical needs thanks to my nursing background. When your pet stays with us, they’ll be treated like family—free to relax indoors with us and our dogs or enjoy quiet time in a private space if they prefer. They’ll have daytime access to our yard and regular walks on the nearby nature trails to keep them happy and stimulated. My goal is always to provide a safe, loving, and enriching environment where your pet feels at home. I currently have a flexible schedule allowing pet care to be my #1 priority! I have recently relocated to Maine with my husband to settle down on our forever home & property. We live in a dog-friendly household on 2.6 acres. My home has a big back yard, bordering on woodlands, and is adjacent to a bird sanctuary with dog-friendly walking trails. I am spending some time improving my home and property before going back to work full-time as an RN. I will be caring for my two dogs during this time and feel I have the capacity to add several more pets to my space and routine. I have the flexibility to plan my day around feedings, nature walks, and yard play time for the dogs. This will be balanced with rest periods inside my air-conditioned home. Inside, the dogs will roam freely and have access to water bowls, dog beds, couches, and open crates - allowing them to choose where they feel most comfortable. I have two well trained and friendly doodles who would love to walk and play with your dog if he/she likes to play! (Personalized care plans available for more shy dogs who would not enjoy being around my dogs all the time **Any dogs receiving day care or boarding at my home must be non-hostile with other dogs so that my dogs will not be bitten or harmed.) We do not have any children or other pets in the household. I offer care to dogs at my home for doggy day-care and overnight boarding/sitting. I will send you (at least) daily photo updates and communicate with you promptly. That way you can rest easy and enjoy your day or vacation knowing your fur-babies are in good hands with me at my home!

I have a highly reactive dog, and was extremely nervous to leave him with someone, but she had great communication with me leading up to his stay and handled his behavior wonderfully, but of more importance, she also keyed into what I needed to ensure both he, and they, were comfortable together so I could relax and enjoy my vacation without stressing over how he was doing there. We had a lot of communication on the onset to calm my nerves, and once I knew he and they were settled comfortably, we had a few "he's doing great" check ins. Not only would I highly recommend her for her care of my dog, I would also highly recommend her for calmly dealing with an anxious owner.”

“Kate & John were amazing with my dad’s dog, Walter! He is an anxious boy, and they made sure he felt at home, and got him settled right in. Their dogs, Theo and Luna, were very friendly and welcomed him with happy tails and they had a lot of fun together. They took him on adventures to a brook, walking trails and lots of playing fetch. They were very responsive and communicative which put my nervous dad at ease and he was able to enjoy his vacation worry free. I have a flexible schedule and even better is your pet likes to ride in the car for short errands or a trip to the lake or the park. About: Your home or mine! I have raised goats, llamas, horses, cattle, chickens, turkeys, dogs, cats and bunnies. I have much experience with different breeds, medication administration, and my demeanor is calm and patient. I live on 8 acres of peaceful, quiet fields and forest. My schedule allows me to spend much time with my guests and I thoroughly enjoy going on long walks on trails and swims in the river. I am also located by many local inns and am happy to care for your pet while you are at dinner, off exploring, or are unable to bring your dog. I work part time, and I work close to home so I am able to run home if need be. On work days, generally I am not away from home more than 5 hours at a time. I am not by any major roads and live on a quiet deadend road. my home is situation in the middle of my 8 acres. There are fields, a small pond, and woods with trails, and extensive gardens. Dogs are always leashed unless I know the dog incredibly well and its recall to me is flawless. If the dog is outside, I am with it. No runs are used. I love to walk on woods trails and I avoid places where I might run into others with dogs. My primary concern is keeping animals safe, calm, active, and happy. My your adult daughter lives with me and is also a well respected pet sitter so we often serve as each other's back up should one need to leave the house.

“Grace took care of our two yellow labs for several days while we were on vacation in August 2021. She was amazing! Took our boys for walks, trips to the pond for swimming, and played with them at her very dog friendly house and surrounding property. About: We live in the country on Thompson Lake. We have almost 10 acres for walking and running with our dogs. We are retired and love our dogs. Looking for a little income and exercise to keep the old bodies from falling apart. So care for dogs and walking them while here or wherever we care for them fits the bill. We have two beagles (mom and daughter) both with great temperaments. Our land is mostly field we use radio collars and have no issues with our dogs staying in the yard. They hunt together every morning giving them lots of exercise.
