“Lauren was amazing with my cat! She was super accommodating and great at keeping the line of communication open the whole time. She sent multiple pictures and detailed updates each visit. She was also comfortable and willing to apply ointment. I even reached out a few weeks later to see if she could come back to help with a nail trim and she was awesome! I will definitely be rebooking Lauren anytime I need a sitter.”

“Karmy did a great job caring for my two senior cats while I was away. They typically hide from unfamiliar visitors but came out to see Karmy on her first visit and did really well under her care. She was attentive to their routines and a great communicator with me. I would absolutely trust Karmy to care for my cats again.”

“Samantha is the best. She is so caring to our babies and detail-oriented. Our family is so happy to have found her and plan on utilizing her drop in services as much as she allows us to!”

“Estefani is the best! She was soooo sweet with my senior kitty. She is a great communicator and sent lovely updates each day. I felt so much better knowing she was looking after my cat. 10/10 would recommend!”

“Catherine was fantastic! She checked in on my dogs at the agreed upon time, gave an update of potty breaks, took pictures of the dogs at play with her, and my dogs seem so happy. Catherine did an outstanding job taking care of my dogs and put my mind at ease knowing they were being checked on with care”

About: I have owned animals my whole life and absolutely love working with them. I used to work at a boarding kennel/ training place and even a veterinary hospital so I learned a lot. And know how to handle all kinds of different breeds. I have two dogs of my own, so they are set on a schedule. Just as your pet would be too. I currently am a stay at home mom so my schedule is wide open. I would love to fill my time by walking or doing drop in visits with your pets! I have a huge backyard for them. I also have two dogs of my own who get along great with other dogs , so they can run and play with them.
“Lisa thank you so much for taking such good care of my fur babies. I don't trust just anyone to take care of them. They seemed very comfortable with you and that means so much to me. I will definitely recommend and use your services again in the future.”

“Chris was a breath of fresh air!!!! I've had some issues with college students, so to see stability, down to earth, maturity was comforting. She clearly loved my Addi girl when she came to meet her. She sent me pictures, and Addi was tuckered out from playing, which is a good sign! Chris will become a staple for us - I completely trust and feel comfortable with her taking care of our girl”

About: I spent a lot of time with pets( mostly dogs) from taking care of close friends pets. With dogs I found better ways to behave them when they were with me, and considering I would take care of them a lot I managed to teach them tricks. I love spending time with animals of any kind. I had a cat when I was 13 and it was tricky because I got Lenny as an adult I would say. I learned how to manage litter boxes and the right food for both cat and dog. I do a lot of research when it comes to food so I know they have the right nutritions and I’m also skeptical when if comes or bagged food, so I do make my Own at times. I own 2 dogs now, one is a puppy and the other about a year and a half old. I’m also trying to save to go into MTC to study as a veterinarian to spend more time with animals. Taking care of pets fits in just perfectly. I currently have a part time job, but doing pet care on the side definitely helps balance my routine out and get some fresh air from working. In both client/my home, since I’m an early bird, I take them on walks to get them moving and give them time to potty, as I do with my dogs as well. I give them water and food, of course this varies on any directions given by the owner. They do get a lot of playtime and treats for good behavior. I make sure to let them potty at least every 2-3 hours out of habit from my pets.
“Julia was great! She made everything easy and did exactly what we asked during her visits. She sent us some really sweet photos of our cat Cowpoke, who’s usually shy around strangers but seemed at ease and friendly with her! It was a smooth experience overall. I’d definitely recommend her to other cat owners and would be happy to book with her again!”

“I recently had Sarah care for my two cats, while I was out of the country for 10 days, and she did a fantastic job. My cats are pretty easy to look after - just food, water, litter box, and a little playtime but she went above and beyond. When I returned, the cats were happy, relaxed, and clearly well cared for. Nothing in the house was disturbed, which shows they felt loved and secure. On top of that, Sarah was thoughtful enough to bring in my mail and even took the trash can in from the curb, which I really appreciated. I would absolutely recommend her to friends and will definitely book her again in the future!”

“Natalie took great care of my kitties while I was gone, including giving medication to one. I got pictures after each of her visits, which was nice. Everything, and everyone, was in good shape when I got home. It's nice to know there's someone I can trust to take care of them when I'm gone.”

About: i’ve taken care of many animals from ferrets and birds to dogs and cats of all sizes with both boarding and in-house care as well as just stopping by to feed and walk my job keeps me on a pretty weird schedule as i travel along with a band as they tour so when the bands not touring i’m free 24/7 to care for pets i have a 9 year old chihuahua that although she’s a loud mouth is very loving towards other dogs and cats as i also have 6 indoor outdoor cats and two ferrets which spend most of their time in there cage
“Amy is wonderful. Our dog is slow to warm up to people and she was so patient, we felt completely comfortable leaving our pup in her care. We will definitely be requesting her every time we need pet care.”

About: I am a nurse in Harrisonburg looking to cure my puppy fever with helping take care of your pups! I’ve had dogs my whole life, I’ve raised puppies and helped with elderly dogs as well. I currently have an 8 year old pomapoo that I’ve had since she was 6 weeks old, she loves other animals and would do great socializing with your dog if your dog would enjoy that! I also have a 20 month old daughter who is literally obsessed with dogs! I would love to come walk your dog or play fetch then cuddle up on the couch with them for a few while your awhile, I’ll make sure their water and food bowl is full before I leave. I also would love you keep your dog while you are away, I’d let them snuggle on the couch with me and make sure they have atleast one walk a day, leaving you stressful on your days away! I work fulltime as a nurse manager which is Monday-Friday 8a-4p so every weekend and evening I’m off. Normally I take my daughter on a 3 mile walk/run which any dog could join us in that! I have a pomapoo and a toddler who love some dog company. I prefer a dog to be crated while I’m out of the house, but while I’m home they can play all through my apartment and go on walks as frequently as needed.
“Joseph was quick to respond to requests. He was dependable and provided good care for my cat and fish, including photos and updates each time. I would not hesitate to book his services again.”
About: Hi! I’m available for pet sitting and dog walking. I have 3 cats and 1 dog of my own and plenty of experience dog-sitting for other families. I’m reliable, caring, and flexible with scheduling—happy to help with walks, feeding, or drop-in visits!” I work during the day on weekdays, but I’m available for pet care in the mornings, evenings, and throughout the weekends. This schedule allows me to reliably handle feedings, walks, check-ins, and playtime outside of typical work hours, making pet care a consistent part of my daily and weekly routine.” I will provide care in my clients’ homes to help pets stay comfortable in their familiar environment. During each visit, I ensure they have fresh food and water, take the dogs out for walks or potty breaks, clean the litter boxes if needed, and spend quality time playing and giving them attention. I follow each family’s routine closely so their pets feel safe and well cared for while you’re away.
“Jenna did a great job with my two cats. They are quite shy and go into hiding when anyone comes to the house. It took some time but by the end Ricky was greeting Jenna and getting some pets. Can't give a better endorsement than that! I had an accident while on vacation and needed help for about 5 weeks longer than planned which Jenna was able to do. That was extremely helpful. I would definitely use Jenna again an highly recommend her.”

Not only does she take care of basic needs, but she sends great photographs and useful messages daily, keeping the lines of communication open so we are free of worry while on vacation. A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Bridgewater. On Rover:

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
