“So excited to find Amanda ! It was so nice to have someone you feel you can trust and rely on. I was nervous searching for someone new and she eased all my anxiety! She is great communicating with me, so sweet with my boy Bear and he’s obsessed with her already. When I got home from work he was so happy !! 100% recommend and so lucky to have her walk our boy”

About: I am a physical therapist by trade and a pet lover all hours of the day! Currently observing to hopefully become a canine physical therapist. I work full-time but very close to home and I have long lunches. I work 4 days a week and usually have 3 day weekends (Friday through Sunday). I will be respectful of your pet and home. From crating to walking, playing, feeding, and tending to your pets needs. You can trust I will do it all.
“My sweet, adorable, fluffy, beautiful, yet PSYCHOTIC rescue is a handful! Rachel has not given up on him and is determined to meet him on his own terms and proceed as he is comfortable. I’m sure many dog walkers would have given up on him. But not Rachel. She’s an angel!”

About: I have had dogs and other pets ever since I was 10 years old. I have always felt they are a crucial member of our family. I believe they deserve the best care and attention, as they truly are our best friends. I enjoy my own dogs companionship and unconditional love. I completely understand first hand the value they give to the quality of our lives. I would love to help other furry parents feel comfortable knowing their dogs are in good hands with me as I will treat your pups like family when they need an extra helping hand. I have great flexibility as I am an instacart shopper with a flexible schedule. I can work with the client to work or a schedule. I have a fenced in yard. We walk both of our dogs daily. They are secure and have Identification tags as well. I believe in safety first.
“Vee has been awesome with our new puppy! She is always on time for the walks and goes above and beyond with care for our little boy and our older dog that she doesn’t even have to care for but feels the need to build trust with. Couldn’t have asked for a better sitter for our boys! 10/10 recommend”

“Lisa was great! She sent daily pictures and updates of each visit making sure that Jebu was fed, watered, comfortable and given snacks/treats. Lisa treated Jebu like he was her own. Lisa let me know that she was bringing my delivered packages inside - she was there for the pooch but also took care of me. I felt so comfortable knowing that every was running smoothly back at home while I was out of town. I will definitely be booking Lisa again in the near future.”

“Vincent was great. He was timely and attentive. My dog is slow to like someone and by the 3rd day she was loving on him. I will continue to use Vincent and recommend him to any future Rover clients.”

“Adrianna is the best dog walker! Always takes very good care of my dog Tilly. She’s easy to communicate with and very reliable. Highly recommend Adrianna to walk your dog !”

About: I have experience with dogs of all ages. I have grown accustomed to a range of feeding, walking, grooming and play schedules and also have experience administering medication. I can handle dogs around other pets, acting to keep everyone involved comfortable and safe. I have lots of free time after classes and only a part time work schedule in the summer. I am able to make time morning, afternoon and night! Until August 15th, I will be living with two roommates. One of which have a cat and a dog who are very friendly. I aim to keep boarding to a minimum until I move into my new space where I will have a lot more room and there would be no. concern with pets interacting and living with other pets that they do not know.
About: I’ve had at least one dog at a time since I was 10 years old. I now live alone with my own dog and she gets along with all dogs so I’ve watched several of dogs whether at their owner’s place or having them stay at mine. I am in school currently so on the days I’m not doing that I’m free! It changes with every semester, but lots of free time on my hands I always make sure to feed my dog morning and night, let her out at least three times a day, and walker daily or as needed. I refill water and food bowls, play with their dogs, and can do anything the owner may need. If they need exercise I’m also a personal trainer so running and playing is my forte

About: I have had pets all my life. I have taken care of many family and friends pets while they were away. I have taken the best care of my own pets as well as others and I treat them like my own. Even though I do not have anymore pets, I still love being around all sorts of animals and this will give me the opportunity to still cuddle a cute furry friend. I am currently working as a substitute teacher in Brick and Tom’s River. I am free after school from 2pm until evening time. I am available to take your dog for a walk and play with them. I am available to drop by to feed them and let them out too. For right now I am available to come to your home and take care of your pet. I will treat them with love and care just the way I did for my own and other pets I have taken care of.
About: I had a lab and weinerdog when I was little into my teens. We got our pit when I was 11. He's a senior now. And currently I have 2 cats if my own. One of my cats takes a med every night while the other one needs a butt wipe and grooming. I work full time as a para at a school for disabled, and part time ABA therapy for kids with autism. I'm hoping to fit in hours during the weekend and during school holidays. I feed, groom, clean litter boxes, and administer meds to my cats. My male cat is very playful, while my female cat all she wants is to be brushed constantly. Growing up I had a very feister daschound who played a lot, even in her old age. Generally I'm comfortable with whatever your pet might require.

If they are boarding with me they have free roam of the house and fenced backyard. Lots of playtime, treats if permitted, walks, couch cuddle time, fresh food and water, time to decompress, lots of pets. If boarding, they can sleep in the bed if they want to.
About: I have owned pets, especially dogs most of my life. My last dog was a pittie mix my family adopted from the ASPCA, named Princess. We cared for her until she could no longer walk, went completely blind, and we sadly had to put her down with the vet. My family did not want another dog after Princess, but my love for dogs never stopped. Now grown-up, married, with a dog-loving husband, and a house of our own, I can happily say we are going to be bringing home a puppy of our own very soon! In the meantime I would be more than happy to dog-sit, care for, or walk your dog like they are my own. I am a Registered Nurse looking to bring in some extra money while doing something I love. Feel free to reach out if you are interested in my services- I am negotiable. Looking forward to meeting your furry friends and family! :) I’m currently working part-time as a nurse, so I have plenty of time to dedicate to your pets whether it’s just for walks/ feeds/ play time, or for sitting. I am capable of caring for your pet in the way that YOU want me to whether that means using a crate, or not. Giving treats, or keeping them on a strict diet. I will gladly follow any practices you currently have in place for your pet while keeping their safety as my priority!

After having a baby, our fur baby hasn’t been getting as much attention as he has been receiving. It’s been amazing to have Amanda give our fur baby a 1:1 walk. She is so kind to him and he is soo excited to see her! Amanda is amazing with our dog! We are so grateful.

Vee has been awesome with our new puppy! She is always on time for the walks and goes above and beyond with care for our little boy and our older dog that she doesn’t even have to care for but feels the need to build trust with. Couldn’t have asked for a better sitter for our boys! 10/10 recommend

I don’t couldn’t be happier with the care and attention my dog received from Meg! Reliable, communicative, and genuinely caring, she went above and beyond to make sure my pup is happy. I loved getting updates and photos after each walk—it gives me real peace of mind. It’s clear she truly loves what she does, and my dog absolutely adores her. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a trustworthy and compassionate dog walker!

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
