About: I’ve taken care of dogs my whole life. Have had dogs of all sizes, ages, and breeds. Let me care for your fur babies and treat them as if they were my own. ♥️🐶🐱 I’ve been on rover for about 2 years with many different clients and have clients outside of rover as well with friends + family. Highly experienced. I am my own boss for a remote business so lots of flexibility. Available for check ins / walks anytime of day you need. Overnights/House + Pet sitting I can be there full time if needed as well. I treat each animal as if it were my own fur baby - love to cuddle, play, and relax - whatever the pup needs from me.
“Jenny was AMAZING with Juliet. My dog is super timid around new people but Jenny was patient and understanding and my dog loved her! I had her do a drop in and she sent me pictures, let my dog out, and took her for a walk. I will most definitely be using her in the future!”

“She's an awesome sitter for my 3 dogs, she has been coming here on time and done her duty by letting my dogs in the backyard for 3 days straight definitely will hire her again in the future. Very reliable.”

About: We do our best to make sure your furbaby feels like we're their home away from home 🥰 I have been taking care of all types of animals most of my life. From nursing babies to caring for special needs and senior pets I have quite a bit of experience. My wife and I are the go to for family and friends pets and we would love to meet yours! My wife works from home and I board and groom pets full time. Someone is always home with the animals other than maybe a quick run to the store. Typically she is up during the day and evenings with them and I am up evenings and most overnights. We have a nice big fenced in back yard with plenty of room to get the zoomies out! Frequent, supervised potty breaks helps us cut down on accidents in the house. Our 2 dogs get along very well with other dogs and cats. Our kitten hasn't decided how she feels about dogs other than her brothers, so if she doesn't like a visiting animal we have plenty of room to keep them separate if needed.

About: Pet Care Experience I’ve been taking care of pets for over 15 years, including my own pets and pets belonging to friends and family. I’m comfortable with different types of dogs and cats, their personalities, routines, and individual needs. I’m dependable, patient, and easygoing, and I’ll make sure your pets get the attention, exercise, and care they need while you’re away. I treat every pet like they’re my own and want them to feel comfortable and safe. I'm currently working full time, I am available to sit weekends and nights. I can also do weekdays, I would stop by before work at 8:30am and come back after I get out at 4:30pm. I can also stay nights if that's preferred. Your pets safety and comfort always come first. I provide a calm, clean, and secure environment where they can relax and feel at home. I’m respectful of each pets personality and routine, and I take the time to earn their trust. You can feel confident knowing your pets are in dependable hands and getting the care and attention they deserve while you’re away.

“William was fantastic with our kitties! He also was gracious when my trip was cut short and i arrived home six days earlier than planned. I really appreciated him stepping and securing a refund through Rover!! We will definitely use William again and highly recommend him to others!”

About: I grew up around dogs and spent four years volunteering at an animal shelter in college, where I worked with dogs of every size, energy level, and temperament—including shy, anxious, and reactive pups who needed extra patience. Today I'm a dog mom to Coco, so I know how much trust it takes to leave your pup with someone. I keep routines consistent, follow your feeding and medication instructions exactly, and send photo updates so you never have to wonder how they're doing. I work a full-time consulting job with a flexible, project-based schedule, so I open bookings by date rather than every week. When I'm available, your dog gets my full attention—no hours alone in a crate. My Rover calendar is always kept current, so if a date shows open, I'm truly available. I'm happy to do a meet & greet before any first stay. My home in Webster Groves is a quiet house with a fenced backyard, and the landscaping was planned with dog-safe plants. I host one family's dogs at a time, so your pup is never in a crowd. My dog Coco is a 30 lb mixed breed who is gentle and easygoing with other dogs—she'll play for a bit, then happily nap and give your pup space. She's a little shy with new people, so meet & greets are relaxed and low-pressure. I require a meet & greet before every new stay, walk on leash only, double-check gates and doors, and keep your vet's info and an emergency plan on hand.

About: I have 4 cats of my own, but I've taken care of animals my entire life! We had pets ranging from cats, dogs, fish, birds, bunnies, to chickens! I have often dog/house sit for a family friend and their two dogs, as well as her sister's other two dogs, and my own sister's 4 pets when they are out of town! I am used to needy and affectionate animals, but also know how to work well with more shy animals. I'd love to meet your fur baby and help your family out! The easiest would be a stop in and do checks, but I am also able to stay at your home if need be! I work Tuesday-Thursday 10 am-6 pm, Friday 10 am- 3 pm, and every other Saturday 10 am -3 pm. Sunday and Monday are totally free!! The easiest routine would be a stop in and do checks, but I am also able to stay at your home if need be! I work Tuesday-Thursday 10 am-6 pm and Friday/Saturday 10 am -3 pm. Sunday and Monday are totally free! I will take every house rule into consideration when caring for not only your pet, but your home! I follow very specific feeding and care instructions with the few families currently help, as well as with my own cats, so I am used to a specific routine! I love to make sure your fur babies are as comfortable without you as they can be, like you were never gone!

About: My experience with animals comes from caring for pets throughout my life, including my own dogs and cats. I’m comfortable with the everyday responsibilities that come with pet care, such as feeding, walks, playtime, cleaning, maintaining routines, and providing companionship. I’ve also helped care for kittens from birth, which gave me hands-on experience with young animals and taught me the importance of patience, cleanliness, observation, and consistency. I understand that every pet is different, and I make an effort to learn each pet’s individual routine, personality, and needs rather than treating every animal the same. Besides my taking care of my own pets my time is free I’m currently unemployed just a full time pet mom and wouldn’t mind taking care of other pets like my own I Have family that helps me take care of my pets at home if needed I also make sure my pets have everything they need when I leave according to how long I will be gone so no need to bring them with me

As for my cat, she’s not a fan of the outdoors, but I still make sure she gets enrichment and movement by taking her on walks when she’s in the mood. I’m all about giving pets what they need to feel happy, safe, and comfortable.

“Claire was wonderful with our puppy Vinny. Vinny has been struggling a lot with separation anxiety and was had Claire come to watch him while we were out of the house for a few hours. She was sure to keep Vinny comfortable and cater to his needs (which can be difficult with a needy puppy). I would book Claire with 100% confidence and look forward to working with her again.”

About: I had two dogs growing up which gave me a lot of experience taking care of pets. And when I wasn't to bring any more pets home, I turned to petsitting. This gave me more experience working with cats. Flexible work and fully remote school schedule! This makes pet care during the day possible for me. I am able to accommodate your pet's schedule as well. I am and always have been an animal lover. I would be taking care of your pet as if they were my own to ease their stress as well.

About: I've lived with dogs my entire life and have never met a dog I can't connect with. I have access to a car and the ability to be flexible with timing and distance as well, just contact me! I can work with any number and any kind of dog! I grew up with a couple dogs of different sizes and I currently live with 2 little ones, so I am comfortable handling any canine situation! This means I am more than happy to take on any responsibility/task requested, such as administering medication, engaging in frequent or constant activity, intently monitoring an animal for an extended period of time, etc. beyond, of course, walking & relieving your best friend(s)! Frequently asked questions about Rover
Rover is the largest marketplace for local pet care. Whether you're looking for pet sitters, dog walkers, or house sitters who specialize in pet sitting, you can narrow your search by entering your ZIP code to find sitters within walking distance in your neighborhood.
You and your sitter can agree on a care schedule that fits your pet’s routine and the sitter’s availability. Pet Sitting can be booked as a one-time or recurring drop-in visit. If you need overnight care or dog walks, you may also be able to book House Sitting or Dog Walking through Rover with the same sitter, provided they offer those services.
Before booking, confirm:
- the timing, length, and frequency of visits;
- the care instructions the sitter should follow;
- which parts of your pet’s usual routine should be prioritized;
- how often you would like to receive messages, photos, or other updates.
Not every sitter offers the same services, availability, or booking options. Review their profile and discuss the care you need through Rover before booking each service.
If you would like updates while you’re away, you can discuss with your sitter how many or how frequent you’d like those updates to be. The Rover app allows sitters to send photos, videos, and messages about your pet, including how many pee or poop breaks occurred. You can message your sitter at any time through the app and our support team is available 24/7 by email or chat if you have concerns.
The personalized, in-home nature of pet care through Rover can mean more individual attention for your pet.
Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page.
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee, which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a casual meeting to vet potential sitters and communicate care needs for peace of mind before a booking begins. Only sitters who have never booked with you before can schedule a Meet & Greet on Rover; however, you are welcome to coordinate one in Rover messages with sitters you have previously booked. This can be helpful if you have a new pet or routine you want to go over with your sitter.
Meet & Greets can take place in person or virtually. If you are booking with a sitter for the first time, we recommend in-person Meet & Greets to get a clearer sense of how your sitter interacts with your pet or the new environment.
During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Meet & Greets are a great way to prepare your pet and sitter for longer stays or first-time bookings. Read our tips for your first Meet & Greet.
sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their contact information. Sitters may set a same-day, one-, three-, or seven-day cancellation policy. Cancelling within your sitter’s cancellation policy qualifies you for a full refund.
Same-day cancellations for recurring services, which include walks, drop-ins, and day care, follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for pet boarding and house sitting, if you cancel after 12 pm on the applicable cancellation deadline, you’ll receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for any remaining days.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means you will get a full refund and our support team will work with you to find a replacement sitter.
