About: I’ve taken care of dogs since 2008. I taught our miniature pincer and chihuahua mix named Rosie how to sit, jump, and rollover. My present-day dog named Bunny, she is the sweetest dog in town. I’ve taught her how to low-five for treats, lay on my legs during Sunday naps, and keep to herself on walks (she’s a very social dog). Wake up, let the dog(s) out, feed them breakfast, and wipe their feet if it is muddy out. Let them out during lunch and feed them lunch, then let them out again after work (4pm). Feed them dinner, then let them out again around 9pm before bed. I work from home full-time, so these tasks are consistently met. In my own home, I stick to the schedule outlined above. In somebody else’s home, I would also stick to a schedule that has been provided by the owner.
“Jacob is a wonderful pet sitter. He took care of my two cats and kept me updated with pics and notes about how they were doing. One of my cats’ had trouble adjusting but he encouraged her everyday to come out of her safe place. She finally came out on the last day. So I will definitely use him again. By the way he took my cats in an emergency situation and contacted me right away. Thank you to Rover, but mostly a huge shout out and thank you to Jacob.”

“Zhewei was an amazing sitter and took such great care of Charu…I 100% recommend him! Charu was so happy and comfortable in his care, which gave me so much peace of mind. He consistently sent videos and pictures and kept us updated on her wellbeing throughout. I truly appreciate the attention and care he gave her!♥️🌸”

“Katie was so awesome. Our Flynn Ryder has never been away from home and he had a bit of anxiety after we dropped him off, Katie went above and beyond to make sure he was comfortable. She sent us pictures and updates throughout the day and got him to finally start to open up and make some friends. We can not recommend her enough to everyone. If you are looking for someone to love on your baby, Book Katie NOW. She is everything.”

“This has been the best experience with the most peace of mind I've ever had when leaving my girls. We will definitely use Ebony again in the future!”

My 19 year old daughter also lives in the house, she is also a dog lover and has gone to training classes at the human society. She enjoys training dogs and teaching the dogs sign language. About this sitter: Mom to 2 grown children and 2 furbabies. I do work full time remotely at home. I volunteer with Special Olympics and St. Louis Track Club. I enjoy gardening and walking with my dogs. Why I love dog sitting I have always loved dogs it was not until I was 13y.o. when we came across a dog that was going to be shot because he did not want any females that we convinced my Dad we needed to save that dog. That was 46 years ago. Since then I have had one-three dogs in my home ever since. They are family.

“Cynthia is awesome! My cats got along with her right away. One of my girls even showed affection that she usually reserves for me. Love the daily pictures and updates. She was so great to let me extend my trip by a couple days, and was able to watch my kitties a little longer. Thanks for letting me be a little spontaneous! When I need a sitter again, you will be my first call. ❤️”

“Suzanne went above and beyond for the week she watched my kitty. She’s a great communicator and made me feel very comfortable leaving my fur baby when I went home for the holidays. I’ll definitely use her again next time I’m out of town! Xox”

About: I’ve taken care of pets for family and friends most of my life, but especially in the last 6 years. I’ve become the go-to person to care for friends’ pets and feel comfortable following detailed care instructions. My aim is to provide peace of mind while you are away from your beloved pet(s). My seasonal job allows me to spend all day with my pets and I believe a tired dog is a happy dog. That means long walks, lots of playtime, and reinforcement of their training. For cats, a routine is key and I love getting to see their personalities come out as I gain their trust. I live in a pet friendly apartment complex. I enjoy taking my dog for long walks in the neighborhood and bringing him to nearby parks for a change of scenery.

“Emma has been absolutely amazing so far! She is taking care of our two Siberian kitties and treating them as if they were her own. She sends us pics and reports. We are in the hospital having our first baby and she had made leaving our kitty babies at home so much easier. Would highly recommend and we will definitely be using her in the future for any cat care needs!”

“I am very happy with Amanda’s cat sitting. My cat is very resistant to taking her medication and Amanda was able to get her to take it every day. Amanda even came over on Christmas, which was great! She sent pictures and kept me updated on how my cat was eating and doing. I would definitely hire Amanda again during my next vacation.”

“Murphy took to Jolene the minute she sat down for our Meet & Greet. That's a rare response for him as he's usually shy about meeting new people. I could see from the photos she so kindly sent me while I was away, that they became friends right away. Jolene was also very accommodating as I realized a slight change to our schedule would work better for me. She didn't hesitate when I asked her to modify the plan a bit at the last minute. It's an enormous relief to know that when I do need to leave my goofy cat again, there's already someone out there who 'gets him, and cares about his well being. I can highly recommend Jolene if you are looking for a reliable, gracious, thoughtful, pet sitter. I myself plan to call on her again the next time I need to go out of town.”

“Karen was fantastic and professional. She came to meet my cat before her drop-in visits and immediately made me and my family feel comfortable. I feel lucky to have found her on my first time using Rover!”

“Fran has been absolutely amazing with my little guy, Archie!! She is amazingly flexible and has gone out of her way to provide good care for him and to help me with my crazy work schedule! I highly recommend her!!”

About: I took many online classes on proper safety for boarding/ daycare with multiple dogs. You want someone active and fun, who loves dogs unconditionally? I'm your gal. Walks, games, positive reinforcement training and mental exercise are all included in my time. I'm a creature of routine. My house gets up at 6am sharp. We like structure and in the dog world, you can't function without it. I used to work for a dog daycare and because I feel so strongly about the safety of dogs, I'd prefer small, safe groups over large groups that are no good for your dogs health. I treat your dogs like my kids. We play together, take naps together, get some exercise and I even like to teach good habits with positive reinforcement! Dogs are my best friends.

“Cooper loved his stay with Karen, as always! We decided to have Cooper go to a sitter very last minute so that we would be freed up for our moving day. Karen was very accommodating and flexible with pick up and drop off. Thanks, Karen! :)”

“Miss Lauren was professional and provided excellent care from the first message to her first time spent with Owen. She came to meet us first so she could learn more about Owen and the things to make their time together go smoothly. I appreciate the care Miss Lauren provided and was so helpful to ensure Owen was comfortable with her. I look forward to having her watch Owen again.”

I require all dogs be crate trained for safety at night, meals, and when I have private training clients at the house.

About: I’ve been surrounded by animals my entire life and have owned and cared for dogs every step of the way. After saying goodbye to my own beloved dog of 12 years about a year and a half ago, I’m not quite ready for another full-time pet, but I love spending time with dogs and regularly care for friends’ and family’s pups. I also grew up around horses, where I learned responsibility, animal behavior, and basic first aid and medical care. My home is a quiet, one-story ranch with a fully fenced backyard, no other pets, and plenty of space for dogs to relax and play. I work from home two days a week and am committed to providing a safe, comfortable environment with lots of attention, updates, and affection so you can feel confident while you’re away. I have a consistent weekly routine and work in the office Monday–Wednesday and from home Thursday–Friday. My schedule is predictable, which helps dogs settle in and feel comfortable. While I occasionally have weekend plans, I plan my schedule around my bookings and make sure the pets in my care receive the attention, exercise, and companionship they need. Your dog’s safety and comfort are my top priorities. I live in a quiet, one-story home with a fully fenced backyard and no other pets, allowing me to provide individualized care and attention. I can easily limit access to different areas of the house if needed, creating a safe environment for dogs with different personalities or energy levels. I’ll follow your routines and instructions closely and provide regular updates and photos so you can feel confident that your pup is happy, safe, and well cared for while you’re away.
“Tzu was an amazing host for my Golden! She has a nice big yard where the pups can run to their heart’s content. She regularly updated us with pics and videos. We never even had to ask for it, she was very proactive with giving us updates. We had very good communication on what and how much she ate in a day. I would very highly and sincerely recommend Tzu as she was fabulous in taking care of our puppy. I would most definitely rebook Tzu as i feel very safe with how she handled Ellie!”

“Summer had Bella for daycare as an introduction before boarding for the first time. They did a wonderful job with making Bella feel at home and making me feel totally comfortable with leaving her in their care. Fantastic communication, with messages and pictures sent throughout the day. So happy to have found Summer and her family!”

About: I’ve been caring for dogs for over 10 years, but honestly, it started way before that with my childhood sidekick: a stubborn little Scottish Terrier who ran the house. Since then, I’ve had experience with all kinds of pups—zoomie machines, cuddle bugs, picky eaters, and even dramatic divas. Whether your dog wants a new best friend or just someone to toss treats on command, I’ve got them covered. Safe, fun, and belly-rub approved! My current availability is weekdays from 8:30 AM to 4 PM for Drop-ins and I’m available all day on weekends. I have a flexible schedule and plenty of time to give pets the care and attention they need throughout the week. Your dog will be in a calm, pet-free home with lots of love and supervision. I keep things safe, clean, and comfy, and I’m happy to follow any specific routines or crate your dog if that’s what they’re used to. Their comfort and safety are always my top priority!
About: My experience in pet care is broad and customized to each animal's specific requirements. I have experience working with older pets, adult dogs, and puppies, so I have a comprehensive understanding of their unique needs regarding care. I am different from other sitters because I take a different approach to establishing comfort and trust. I place a high priority on positive reinforcement methods, particularly for puppies, as it helps them learn important commands while making sure they have fun. I concentrate on the unique medical requirements of elderly pets, such as managing medicines and addressing mobility issues. I work hard to provide every pet in my care a loving environment, whether it means attending to their specific nutritional needs, exercise requirements, or affection. I work flex at Amazon so my schedule is pretty open. Just tell me what days you need me and I’ll do my best to accommodate for that. I take the time to learn about the unique personality and preferences of each pet, which makes them feel more at ease. I am open in my communication with pet owners about their unique habits and any worries they may have.
“Sarah went above and beyond and notified me of a leak in my kitchen when she came to walk my dog. Without her prompt attention the water would’ve continued flowing for several more hours!”

Check and see if they are an indoor or outdoor animal to be more prepared for walks.

It was clear from the updates and photos that he was comfortable, well-loved, and treated like part of the family. When I picked him up, he was happy, relaxed, and clearly had a great stay. They were easy to communicate with, responsive, and genuinely cared about making sure both Macario and I felt comfortable throughout the experience. As a dog mom, having peace of mind while you're away is priceless, and that's exactly what they provided. I'll definitely be using them again in the future. Thank you for taking such wonderful care of Macario!”

“Sam had a fantastic time with Annie. She gave him treats, walks, and so much love and attention. I'm glad to have found her, and she's now my go to dog boarding and other activities 🙂”

“Keith and his wife, Katie, took great care of Maggie while we were gone for a week during the holidays. Since this was the first time leaving her overnight, Keith knew we were nervous, so he sent lots of pictures and kept us assured she was doing well and having fun on her vacation as well!”
