“Ma’lisa was heaven sent! She was understanding and had no problem with my last minute changes/emergency. To calm my nerves she took plenty of pictures and shared videos. Bella truly looked happy..”

“Toneshea did such an incredible job taking care of both our baby girl & our home. She stayed in our home for 10 days and sent us the best photos of our girl while we were gone. She went out of her way to ask us if there was anything else that needed to be done around the house while we were gone & left the place clean & tidy for us to come home to. Doodle was well taken care of & received all the pets/cuddles. We are so glad we found Toneshea and will definitely book with her again!”

“Sandra has a beautiful soul. She took such good care of my babies. She sent me pictures of them made into these lovely collages that I know took time and care to create. I rebooked her for my next trip already!”

“Lauren surpassed our expectations in every way! She took great care of our dogs and kept in touch with updates. We were completely at ease, knowing they were in good hands. I will definitely use her again!”

“Emma was nothing short of amazing going the extra mile. I was sent pictures and videos and updates daily helping me feel at ease while away. I will be trying hard to use her again and would highly recommend her to anyone who wants your dog well taken care of while away”

About: Hi! I’ve taken care of my family and friends dogs for several years! I love cats and dogs and the joy they bring to us humans. I’m currently working from the months of August to May (full-time). I usually have most holidays off. My schedule when I am working is from 5am-4pm. I usually like to go to my clients house and watch animals there. I’m pretty much comfortable as long as there is open communication between us.
“Abigail was a blessing while watching our three pups! We have a 14 year old who has some daily medicine and a puppy with separation anxiety and they can be quite the handful. She kept us informed with what was going on daily; it allowed us to enjoy our time away from home while knowing they were in good hands. Cannot thank you enough!”

“Rochelle was very communicative and friendly! She sent multiple photos through out her stay which was appreciated. She did exactly what was asked and took great care of our dog. Thank you Rochelle! :)”

“Rebecca was wonderful with our anxious old pup and took the time to come meet him beforehand and learn about him. Hoping she’s available to book for our other upcoming travel dates!”

“I highly recommend Olivia! She is incredibly friendly, reliable, and easy to work with. Communication was excellent from start to finish; she kept me updated regularly and was always quick to respond to any questions or concerns. Most importantly, she was loving, attentive, and genuinely cared for my dogs as if they were her own. It gave great peace of mind knowing they were receiving so much affection, attention, and care while I was away. My dogs were happy, comfortable, and well cared for when I returned. Again I would recommend Olivia to anyone looking for a trustworthy and compassionate pet sitter.”

“She did an amazing job with my fur baby. She was easy to communicate with and didn’t sound annoyed 1 time with my repeated “just checking on you calls”. I pray that she remains available for all my upcoming travel dates. Thank you !!”
“It was such a pleasure for us to know that Amy was at our home taking great care of Whiskey! When we met Amy for our meet and greet we had a feeling that they would get along great and they did! Thank you Amy for taking care of our home as well and for your kindness and professionalism throughout. We look forward to having you come over again and spend some time with our whiskey ;-)”

About: I’ve been surrounded by dogs my entire life and have taken care of family and friends’ dogs for over 10 years. I have experience with oral medications. I also speak English and Spanish fluently. I’m a teacher so I work Monday-Friday from 7:00 to 3:00. I can house-sit any day of the week including weekends and I’m completely free in the summer. I like to take care of the dogs before I leave for work by giving them some attention (i.e. cuddles) and taking care of their needs. For exercise, if there’s a fenced yard, I like to play with them outside before feeding them. I try to take them for walks as often as possible.
About: I’ve grown up with dogs my entire life. I started volunteering at the Pet Resource Center in Tampa a few years back, and was lucky enough to get a job there. We not only provide them daily care, but get to have fun as well. Feeding, walking, enrichment and overall care. I have 2 days off that I’d be able to dedicate to pet care. I would be available in the evenings as well. I’m already providing pet care at my full time job, but am looking for additional activities. N/A as I would not be offering care or services in my home, I’d only be going to clients homes to provide services needed. Thank you
About: With a lifetime of experience in caring for dogs, my passion for pets runs deep. I have two adorable chihuahuas, Monkey and Cannoli, who are the apples of my eye. Raised in a household that always had dogs, I have cared for numerous animals over the years, honing my skills in providing top-notch pet care. My dog Monkey has special needs, so I am well-versed in giving extra attention to those who require it. I am dedicated to ensuring that every pet in my care feels safe, loved, and well-attended to, making their time away from their owners as comfortable and enjoyable as possible. I work from home, fully remote. So I am home all day, able to give full attention every day. My routine with my girls is about 4-5 walks per day, we go to the park at least 3x a week. Monkey and Cannoli are both friendly, naturally they’re chihuahuas so they have some sass. But they are very relaxed, and because they’re older, they are less temperamental. They love other small dogs and take well to medium and large dogs also. Monkey and cannoli pretty much rule my household, so they lounge on the couch or sunbathe on the balcony anytime they want. I have a treasure chest of toys that they pull out and play tug of war with each other during the day. Since I work from home, I normally put the TV or relaxing music on which makes for great nap time. We go on multiple walks a day, and play with toys throughout the day. My chihuahuas are snuggle bugs, so they normally cuddle up on my lap while I work.
“Jenna did a great job communicating while taking care of our dogs! It was clear she spent a lot of her time with them making sure they were comfortable while we were on vacation. Would definitely recommend her to dog sit!”

“Kiera was responsive and took great care of our dogs while we were away. Even when they got into stuff, she cleaned up after them and took great care of the house and doggies. We would definitely book her again!”

The median cost per night for house sitting in Brandon is $50
Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Brandon
Lauren is the absolute best! I’ve used her services multiple times for my two pups and she has exceeded my expectations every time. She goes so far out of her way to make sure that my dogs are not just comfortable but that they also get their energy out, get tons of pets and attention, and that they are safe at all times! My dogs can be complicated and reactive, and she is excellent at navigating their reactivity with other dogs! She sends ample updates, photos and communication to give my boyfriend and I peace of mind while away and is extremely responsive. I also have a dog with a finicky tummy and she handles her occasional accidents with such patience and care! I always come home to a house that’s clean and puppies that are happier than ever! (: I’ll continue to book with Lauren for as long as I can, and would highly recommend her to anyone!

We had a wonderful experience with Olivia! From the start, she was professional, reliable, and clearly cared about our dog’s well-being. She kept us updated with photos and messages, which gave us peace of mind while we were away. Our dogs were happy, well cared for, and comfortable throughout the stay. It was obvious that they received plenty of attention, exercise, and affection. We truly appreciated the sitter’s attention to detail and willingness to follow our dog’s routine and special instructions. I would highly recommend her to anyone looking for a trustworthy and caring dog sitter. We will definitely be booking with Olivia anytime we need a sitter!

Morgan was absolutely wonderful! She followed all of my instructions perfectly and went above and beyond by vacuuming the apartment before she left. She stayed for the entire weekend and was incredibly trustworthy, thoughtful, and kept me updated the whole time. I had total peace of mind knowing she was there looking after my two cats. I highly recommend her and will definitely be booking again!

Extremely reliable. Arrived exactly on time. She immediately got down with Charlie (who is recovering from surgery), and even though he is typically shy, he took to her right away. The pictures showed she took extra care. Plus her sitting with my boy at our home was necessaryfor him. And those 4 hours allowed me to run errands and such. Will use again.

Fantastic experience with this sitter! She stayed overnight with Jaxx and took great care of him, regular walks, fresh water, and awesome communication throughout. I really appreciated the photos and videos, which gave me peace of mind while I was away. Jaxx was clearly well cared for. Would absolutely book with her again!

She went out of her way to ask us if there was anything else that needed to be done around the house while we were gone & left the place clean & tidy for us to come home to. Doodle was well taken care of & received all the pets/cuddles. We are so glad we found Toneshea and will definitely book with her again!

Christian was a lifesaver! We had a last-minute cancelation, but Christian took the stress out of the situation. Timely communication, professional, and SO good with our animals. I felt at peace knowing Christian was with our fur babies. We will DEFINITELY rebook next time we go out of town. Thank you, Christian!!

Frequently asked questions about Rover
The average cost for House Sitting in Brandon on Rover is $54.83 per night (as of July 2026). However, all sitters set their own rates based on experience, location, and availability.
Rover makes budgeting the cost of House Sitting easy. As long as your dates and pet profiles are correct, the price you see before you book is the same price you pay for House Sitting. For more information on service fees, click here .
As of July 2026, there are 4,311 sitters on Rover offering House Sitting across Brandon. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.
Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Brandon walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Brandon maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Brandon choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Brandon. On Rover:

- 98% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
