About: I meditate regularly so I have a calm, grounded presence, especially around animals. I grew up around cat and dogs my whole life so I know them well and how to care for them. About: I’ve had animals since I was 6. Growing up I had over twenty cats, numerous dogs (big and small), and a horse! While owning animals allowed me to learn the basics, I’ve spent 10+ years volunteering in both RI and MA animal rescues to help animals in need. For social animals I am able to just do what makes them happy. Walks, play time, cuddles, etc. For the shy babies I know it’s not always a one visit solution and that’s okay! About: I have owned dogs for the last 15 years. I also grew up with dogs my family home and I also cared for a ill cat for two years. I have my own dog Mondays and Tuesdays so I hope to take care of yours on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday and Saturday. I recently retired so I can dedicate my time to animals. This works great with my plan to get more exercise. My dog has a huge fenced in backyard and I spend all my time with him when I have him. I always keep him on leash and pick up after him. I also spend much time just cuddling and petting Gizmo also.

Jacqueline was wonderful with our two, and we came home to happy and healthy pups! I was extremely nervous about traveling without them, especially because I’m a very involved dog mom and definitely had a lot of special instructions. 😂 Jacqueline was incredibly patient with all of my requests and took the time to really get to know them. Paulie can be nervous with new people, so seeing how comfortable he became with Jacqueline and her son put me completely at ease. Bonnie is also recovering from an injury, and I felt confident that she was being handled carefully. Jacqueline was reliable, punctual, and clearly enjoyed spending time with them. We are so happy to have found great local assistance for our cats while away on vacation! It was our first time using Rover, and we couldn’t be more grateful. Carley was super communicative from the start, and proactive in arranging our meet and greet well ahead of our booking. After meeting her and seeing how easily the cats took to her, we felt confident in entrusting her with daily feedings, litter box cleanings, and general visit & play time. She has a lovely vibe and our cats were right at home with her. She’s very organized and accessible, takes notes and keeps specific details and needs of her bookings via spreadsheet. She gave them plenty of attention, treats, catnip, and provided the daily dose of socialization that I’m certain the cats appreciated very much! The hardest part of travel is being away from our cats and the peace of mind of knowing they are well looked after by someone nearby, trustworthy and reliable is priceless to us. I truly cannot say enough wonderful things about Savannah! From the moment we met her at the meet and greet, I had such a great feeling about her, and she somehow exceeded those expectations when she watched Kimchi and Pebbles. She arrived early, was incredibly attentive with the girls, sent me pictures and updates throughout the day, and made it so easy for me to relax knowing they were happy and being so well cared for. It was obvious that she wasn't just there to "watch the dogs." She genuinely spent time with them, paid attention to them, and made sure they were comfortable and getting plenty of love. Finding someone you trust with your dogs, especially when they're used to having you home with them most of the time, is a big deal. I feel incredibly lucky that we found Savannah. Kimchi and Pebbles absolutely loved her, and we will 100% be asking her to come hang out with them again.
Ellie was amazing with our cat, who I’m pretty sure was waiting for her to come back when we got home! She was attentive and caring, and offered us thorough updates and lots of photos while we were gone. Highly recommend - we will definitely book her again! Our kitty was very well taken care of 😻
Heather was awesome!!! She came to our house 2 times a day over the course of 9 days to give Oreo his old man meds and of course give him food and water and keep him company for a bit. Thank you for making the time for Bruno and Jimmy while visiting for summer. Only thing I would have appreciated would be pictures daily and compared to other sitters check in when coming in and out but otherwise seems like Jimmy and Bruno warmed up to Kailey pretty quickly

Meet & Greets can take place in person or virtually. If you are booking with a sitter for the first time, we recommend in-person Meet & Greets to get a clearer sense of how your sitter interacts with your pet or the new environment.
During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Meet & Greets are a great way to prepare your pet and sitter for longer stays or first-time bookings. Read our tips for your first Meet & Greet.
sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their contact information. Sitters may set a same-day, one-, three-, or seven-day cancellation policy. Cancelling within your sitter’s cancellation policy qualifies you for a full refund.
Same-day cancellations for recurring services, which include walks, drop-ins, and day care, follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for pet boarding and house sitting, if you cancel after 12 pm on the applicable cancellation deadline, you’ll receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for any remaining days.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means you will get a full refund and our support team will work with you to find a replacement sitter.
