“Jacey was amazing! She was always on time, very thorough during the check ins, and so sweet! Our cat Willow loved her and we will definitely be booking with her again :)”

“We were so comfortable to go away on an 8-day vacation after meeting with Kyla. She was able to come over each day and give our cat some company, feeding/water, and most importantly give him the 3 pills for a heart condition. We received updates while away and Kyla was responsive to us when setting up the booking and while we were away.”
“Jessica is extremely communicative, caring, and enthusiastic! I really appreciated the peace of mind she provided while I was at work and I’ve already booked several more sessions!”

“Carley took excellent care of my kitties while I was away for the first time since moving to a new home! She followed my info for feeding, playing etc to the tee and sent lots of photos during her visits. I could tell both my cats were super comfortable with her and were getting lots of love while I was away 🥰”

“Our dog is a very anxious rescue, it was really important to us to find someone who is patient and understanding. Jacqueline was soo kind and patient! Jacqueline came by a few times before booking to make sure our pup was comfortable. It was really appreciated, I’ll booking with Jacqueline again in the future!”

“Thank you for making the time for Bruno and Jimmy while visiting for summer. Only thing I would have appreciated would be pictures daily and compared to other sitters check in when coming in and out but otherwise seems like Jimmy and Bruno warmed up to Kailey pretty quickly”

“Gwen was outstanding with our new puppy. She was comforting and took very good care of him. She obviously has great experience with dogs. Look forward to using her again.”

“Cheryl was easy to work with, and went above and beyond our expectations! She communicated with us contiguously throughout our vacation. We hopefully will be able to work with her again going forward :)”

“Heather was absolutely amazing! Our senior cat recently started on insulin shots twice a day and we were nervous about leaving him. We were put at ease as soon as we met Heather. She came twice a day promptly at the times he needed his meds and cared for him as if he was her own pet! We got updates and photos at each visit and it seems like our old kitty fell into a nice, relaxed routine with her😊. She did an amazing job keeping his days as “normal” as possible for him and she went way above and beyond keeping his entire space (and ours) tidy. I wouldn’t hesitate for a minute to use Heather’s services again when we travel. I felt very comfortable having her in my home and with my pet. Thank you!”

“Heather was awesome!!! She came to our house 2 times a day over the course of 9 days to give Oreo his old man meds and of course give him food and water and keep him company for a bit. Heather sent us cute pics at the end of every visit. Heather is highly recommend and we will definitely use her again!!!!”

“Angelisa is so good to our 4 year old Maltipoo. She is so patient, gentle and calming. She knows his routines and our instructions. She is very professional and always on time and stays the whole time scheduled. My family and I are so happy we have her to be there for our little guy when we can’t be.”

About: I've taken care of my own family's dogs since I was a child. Neighbors, friends, and family have relied on me to take care of their pets. Jackie did a great job with our three cats while we were out of town for our wedding! She was confident, professional, and nice. We would book with her again which says a lot because we are very protective of our pets, and I'm also a pet-sitter on Rover. Thank you, Jackie, for taking care of our kitties for our special day!

Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Slatersville. On Rover:
- 94% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 98% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 95% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
