“Megan is always so patient with Norman, even with his stranger anxiety. She always goes the extra mile in making sure he's safe and happy. I feel lucky to have found Megan!”

“Kate has been so awesome with my dog, Diesel! She went above and beyond to care for him like her own. Constantly kept me in the loop with pictures and messages. I couldn’t recommend Kate enough, I will definitely be a repeat customer!”

“Very friendly and competent sitter. She was able to follow instructions, make decisions on her own, and pets were always very happy in her photos! Perfect experience, thank you!!”

“Paul was fantastic with my two kitties. He was very communicative, consistent and sent plenty of great photos while I was away! He made sure to play and cuddle with them in addition to taking care of them. Couldn’t recommend enough!”

About: I have had dogs for 8 years and have recently taken in a cat about 4 years ago. I love walking dogs and have walked my neighbors dogs and such. (My own too of course.) Nothing makes me happier than seeing a happy dog (or cat). I work a full time job that pays me well so the money isn’t important to me. Making dogs and animals happy on walks or through care is what makes me happy! I enjoy playing and entertaining little friends. Whether it’s fetch, tug-a-war, or shining the little red laser around, I enjoy it all!!
“Kristin has been great with our little guy, Jett. He likes her a lot. Kristin spends time with him in our backyard, and he adores it. She sends thorough updates about their time together, and she takes multiple photos of him. She has dropped in several times so far, and we have her scheduled on repeat. We will continue to work with Kristin in the future. Highly recommend!”

About: I will give your pets all the love and attention they need. I Currently don’t have any pets so yours will be my top priority. Currently a full time college student so I have pretty flexible hours. I can always check in on pets in between classes or in my free time. Willing to do whatever is necessary. If you have any specific requirements for your pets just let me know and I’ll be happy to accommodate them to the best of my ability.
About: I love animals and have a ton of experience! I will put your fur baby above my own any day of the week! Reach out when you need some extra hands to take care of you pet! I am a full time student and I am on the volleyball team so managing practice time around the pet is important but very easy to work around. I go on daily walks with my dog. He’s a border collie mix. His name is Byrd and she is super sweet. I live in an apartment complex with doggy parks and a dog wash station!

About: Since I was young I have always loved dogs. I lost my 12 year old Alaskan Malamute a few years ago and would love to help with other dogs to feel the void of missing my buddy. I love hiking so if your dog needs to burn some extra energy I would gladly take your dog on a hike. I work nights as a server Tuesday-Saturday. The longest stretch of time I’m usually at work would be 3pm-9/930pm. I have fairly open availability with adequate notice. I would love to take your dog on a hike, to the dog park, or on a walk! I live in an apartment that unfortunately does not allow pets, but I'm happy to take them to a dog park or on a hike or hangout with them at your place.
“Toni was very attentive and took great care of our dogs! She watered our indoor plants and grabbed our mail. She made sure that our gate was properly closed and was detailed in her report cards and sent adorable photos. I would recommend Toni and will be hiring her in the future!”

“Andrew provided excellent care to our cat Hercules over the Christmas holidays. When something was out of place, he proactively reached out to us so he could confirm and get advice. When we ended up arriving home earlier than expected, he accommodated. We’re definitely keeping him in the Rolodex!”

About: Hey, my name is Nyssa. I'm from a small town in rural Montana where I grew up with four of my own dogs, that I took care of from a young age. I also grew up taking care of my grandmother's five dogs when she needed assistance. My family owns a farm where I was exposed to all species of animals, making me want to become a veterinarian. I currently attend MSU to get my undergrad and then I will go on to veterinary school. I've been house sitting for 3 years for people outside of my family in my home town. I have experience with senior dogs, really young dogs, cats and other backyard pets. I've worked in a vet clinic for 5 years and have lots of experiences with my own animals along with other people's animals. I grew up doing chores morning and night for farm animals so I am used to taking care of pets on the daily basis. I'm a person that loves to be outside and I enjoy taking walks everyday. This ensures dogs get the exercise they need. While college classes get busy, having a pet that needs to be taken care of allows for a nice break from studying. While house sitting your dog, I follow directions well so if there are certain feeding times or specific routines that your pet is used to, I will make sure their routines stay the same through my stay. I have lots of experience with a variety of diffrent dogs, both from my own pets, other clients, and working at a vet clinic. I understand the anxiety of having to leave your animals and house in the hands of someone else, but I grew up in 4-H and FFA that taught me to be respectful and leave the place in better shape that it was before. I am able to handle situations that come up as well due to my variety of experiences in animal handing at the veterinary clinic.
“Once again Daria was great with our dogs. She spent time with them and took them on long walks, often doing a bit extra (like making sure they both got time with the chuck it ball)- we are extremely happy to have her- we can depend on her to take such good care of both dogs!”

About: I have had high energy dogs mostly heelers and love to take them outside for adventures. It helps me bond with them and teach them to be social. I currently work evenings and bring my our dog out for walks all the time during the day. I love taking him to the dog park and hiking and have room to bring others with me. I mostly take my dog to the dog park and leash him when I take him hiking. I would be able to bring another dog with us when we adventure.

About: I’ve cared for animals my whole life, starting with my Westie, then my tortoiseshell cat, and now my energetic Border Collie/Heeler mix. Having pets with different personalities and needs has taught me the importance of patience, attention to detail, and dedicated care. I’m a safe, trustworthy person who truly enjoys making animals feel comfortable, loved, and secure. I’m also very active and love running, hiking, and biking, so I’m especially great with energetic dogs who need lots of exercise and engagement. Whether it’s long walks, playtime, or quiet companionship, I treat every pet like my own and always prioritize their happiness and well-being. I’m currently a substitute teacher in Bozeman, and pet sitting through Rover is a meaningful way for me to supplement my income while doing something I genuinely enjoy. Working in schools has strengthened my patience, responsibility, and attention to detail, which naturally carry over into the way I care for animals. I’m dependable, trustworthy, and committed to making sure every pet feels safe, comfortable, and well cared for while their owners are away. I live right along a park, so daily walks are already a big part of my routine with my Border Collie/Heeler mix. My dog is very friendly, active, and would love to have some new walking buddies from time to time. We spend a lot of time outside exploring trails, getting exercise, and enjoying fresh air, so your dog would get plenty of activity, attention, and companionship while in my care. If you would NOT like your furry friend to have a companion, please let me know, and I can accomodate whatever routines you have.

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Bozeman
We couldn’t have asked for a better pet sitter! Daria took incredible care of Simon and Theo, sending detailed updates and lots of photos after every visit, which gave us so much peace of mind. She truly went above and beyond—playing with them, thinking through what would make them most comfortable, and even leaving our home spotless by cleaning around the litter box and refreshing their food and water bowls. We came home to two happy cats and an immaculate house. We would absolutely book her again and highly recommend her!

Marina was a wonderful sitter for our cats while we were away. She was reliable, punctual, and communicated consistently, sending photos and updates every day. Our cats can be a little hesitant with new people, but she took the time to engage them in play and they quickly warmed up to her. She was warm, friendly, and clearly cared about their well-being. She even happily FaceTimed with us when we were missing them, which we really appreciated. We came home to happy, well-cared-for cats and would absolutely book with her again.

Kaeli was very quick to respond upon my initial request to check in on our cat for a long weekend. She communicated very well to meet us prior to committing, and Kaeli was immediately a friendly, easy going and trustworthy sitter. She updated me with each visit and sent photos so we had peace of mind. I’m so happy to have found Kaeli and will absolutely be using her for future jobs!

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
