“Tracy is a fantastic dog sitter! I recently hired Tracy to look after my two dogs, Dixie and Kaya, while I was away, and he absolutely exceeded my expectations. From the very first communication, Tracy was professional, responsive, and genuinely enthusiastic about caring for them. He arrived on time for every feeding, and play session and sent daily updates with photos and messages so I never had to worry. If you're looking for a reliable, caring sitter, I highly recommend Tracy. My dogs were in great hands, and I'll definitely be booking him again the next time I travel. Thanks, Tracy!”

I have a securely fenced yard for supervised outdoor time, as well as two friendly dogs who can provide companionship for pets who enjoy socializing. Pets are also welcome on the furniture, so they can relax and feel at home. I also have experience caring for senior and chronically ill pets, including administering medications as needed. I understand that every pet has unique routines and needs, and I am committed to providing patient, attentive, and compassionate care throughout their stay.

“This was our first time using Rover. So thankful we found Katrina she exceeded all our expectations. We booked last minute but Katrina still made time to stop by the day before the meet our dogs and get to know their routine. One of our dogs is extremely terrified of new people and can seem intimidating at first. Katrina was so calm and patient that Bailey was able to relax. Katrina's communication is fantastic.She kept us updated throughout our time away with messages and pictures,which was such a relief and comfort. She truly went above and beyond highly recommended for anyone looking for compassionate,reliable care for their fur baby's”

About: I own a Belgian Malinios + a Pitbull/Australian Shepherd mix. I will pet sit any fur baby you need me to! Before those pets I had a German Shepherd. I would love to take care of your baby and keep it safe and content while you get away from home wether it be for work, vacation, or medical. I have school, Monday-Thursday from 7:45am-11:45am. Once i come home i am able to come and pet sit. I have routines for my own animals so if you have a routine i would love to know it so i can abide! I have no current job due to personal issues but i have transportation. I drive myself there and i will have plenty time to play, care for, and keep your sweetheart safe. I keep one of my dogs in a large pen outside to keep him off the road. I go out to play with him 2-3 hours every day. With my puppy she stays inside and we play after every long nap she has and makes sure she goes outside with me very 30 minutes to ensure no accidents. If she has one it is immediately cleaned up and sanitized! She also gets enforced nap time in her crate to ensure she gets proper rest when she refuses her sleep times and becomes restless. I do not hit animals i just bring them outside for a bit until their next potty and reward. As for my cats they live inside with a litter box that is emptied out every other day. They get played with after their naps and i make sure no accidents happen on the floor with them.
About: What sets me apart is the level of personalized, reliable care I give to every pet. I focus on keeping your cat or dog comfortable in their own home, which reduces stress and keeps their routine consistent. As a full-time student with a flexible schedule, I’m able to offer frequent check-ins, great communication, and real-time updates so you always know how your fur baby is doing. I’m experienced with both cats and dogs, including pets who are shy, anxious, or need a little extra patience. I’m also comfortable caring for puppies who need structure and consistency, as well as senior pets who may require a gentler pace, medication reminders, and closer attention. Your pet’s safety is my priority, and I always treat your home with respect and care. Pet care fits smoothly into my daily and weekly routine because I balance school and work with a schedule that’s still very flexible. I’m able to plan my work shifts and classes around the visits I book, which lets me give each pet focused, unrushed attention. I keep my calendar organized so I never overbook myself, and I make sure I have plenty of availability for morning, afternoon, and evening check-ins. Even with a busy schedule, I prioritize communication, consistency, and reliability so your pets get the best care while you’re away. I focus on making sure your pets feel safe, comfortable, and completely cared for in their own familiar environment. I always take time to bond with your pet at their pace, whether they’re energetic, shy, or need a little extra patience. I refresh water, deep-clean litter boxes when needed, tidy up any messes, and make sure your home is left just as you expect. Frequently asked questions about Rover
Rover is the largest marketplace for local pet care. Whether you're looking for pet sitters, dog walkers, or house sitters who specialize in pet sitting, you can narrow your search by entering your ZIP code to find sitters within walking distance in your neighborhood.
You and your sitter can agree on a care schedule that fits your pet’s routine and the sitter’s availability. Pet Sitting can be booked as a one-time or recurring drop-in visit. If you need overnight care or dog walks, you may also be able to book House Sitting or Dog Walking through Rover with the same sitter, provided they offer those services.
Before booking, confirm:
- the timing, length, and frequency of visits;
- the care instructions the sitter should follow;
- which parts of your pet’s usual routine should be prioritized;
- how often you would like to receive messages, photos, or other updates.
Not every sitter offers the same services, availability, or booking options. Review their profile and discuss the care you need through Rover before booking each service.
If you would like updates while you’re away, you can discuss with your sitter how many or how frequent you’d like those updates to be. The Rover app allows sitters to send photos, videos, and messages about your pet, including how many pee or poop breaks occurred. You can message your sitter at any time through the app and our support team is available 24/7 by email or chat if you have concerns.
The personalized, in-home nature of pet care through Rover can mean more individual attention for your pet.
Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to 25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the , which provides up to 25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a casual meeting to vet potential sitters and communicate care needs for peace of mind before a booking begins. Only sitters who have never booked with you before can schedule a Meet & Greet on Rover; however, you are welcome to coordinate one in Rover messages with sitters you have previously booked. This can be helpful if you have a new pet or routine you want to go over with your sitter.
Meet & Greets can take place in person or virtually. If you are booking with a sitter for the first time, we recommend in-person Meet & Greets to get a clearer sense of how your sitter interacts with your pet or the new environment.
During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Meet & Greets are a great way to prepare your pet and sitter for longer stays or first-time bookings. Read our tips for your first .
