“After my first meeting with Morgan, I was totally at ease with her taking care of Hank and Dolly Purrton! The daily check-ins and the pictures were amazing. I had to extend my trip to NYC because I was snowed in! Morgan did not hesitate to tell me she would continue to take care of my babies until I could return. Thank Heaven for amazing women like Morgan!”

I have a miniature Schnauzer that would enjoy your dog's company. My home has plenty of space and a fenced-in backyard that safely allows your dog to enjoy the outdoors. When your dog is in my care, he/she will be treated as a member of my family. For overnight stays, I do require you to package your dog's food according to the number of days your dog will be in my care. “Tracy did an excellent job! He was very attentive and caring with my dog, provided regular updates to let me know how the visits went, and was very responsive whenever I needed to reach out. I will absolute book with him again”

“This was a last minute request (the night before) and Kayla was a real lifesaver! I’m so thankful that she was able to stop in and take such good care of my pup for me this afternoon. I’m also super impressed with how professional and thorough she is! She took pictures and videos of Henry and even cleaned up the mess he had made from tearing the tape off the back of my kitchen rug while I was gone. I would definitely use her again and recommend her to anyone needing a good caregiver for his or her dog.”

About: Growing up, my father used to breed Mastiffs and Pitt Bulls, so I am no stranger to large breeds. Since I was 16, I have taken care of multiple large families of dogs, horses, cats, etc, so even a farm full of animals is no challenge. I have 2 pups of my own; a pit bull/lab and an aussie/healer who I have had for 6 years. Any amount, any size, any breed; I will take care of yours like they’re my own. I work full time Monday-Friday, 6:30am-3:15pm. I am an early riser so I can feed pets before work and will be available for walks and feedings after work as well. I will feed your animals to your specifications. With a fenced in yard, I will ensure I spend time with your pet outdoors playing, doing basic training if necessary, and ensuring physical activity as I do with my dogs. If I am watching them overnight, they will get at least one walk a day, and more if required.
“AJ was the best sitter we have ever had. He was attentive he communicated great. He didn’t miss a beat with his meeting with the pups taking them for two walks a day. He always responded with photos. He always was courtesy with his responses, and I would refer him highly! I will definitely use AJ again.”

“We just moved to the area and finding Caty was such a relief! She is very attentive and was flexible when we took a last minute trip. Caty treated our old gal with so much patience and gave her all the belly rubs! We are so happy to have found such a reliable and caring person, to put our our minds at ease, when we have to leave.”

About: I love making sure pups of all ages are well taken care of. I have always been great with walks, baths, and tiring them out for when you get home. I am a working pet auntie so I know how hard it is to tire out babies after working all day or needs a break on a weekend. I am available all day on national holidays and weekends with enough notice. While out of the home, I am always very vigilant and am very great about keeping an eye on your baby and the surroundings. I have a pup of my own if your baby ever needs some companionship.
“Alexandria did a fantastic job taking care of my senior puppy. She went above and beyond to make sure my pup was cared for and comfortable while communicating clearly and frequently. We look forward to booking with her again.”

Numerous people have entrusted me to take care of their animals because I will give them the best care and attention they need. I’m available all the time and very flexible as well. Thank you for considering me :) I currently work part time so I'll have plenty of time to play and care for your pups! I will give them all the love and attention they deserve! About: I worked as a veterinary technician for 8 years. Prior to that I worked in shelters and humane societies. I have a passion for animals, but unfortunately my new career is not so animal-based. I miss working with animals daily and it would be an honor to take care of yours. I have extensive knowledge in animal behavior, veterinary care and CPR. You have a peace of mind when your pets are with me. I will diligently look after them, provide necessary emergent care if needed and don't mind giving veterinary advice. I love cats just as equally as I love dogs. If agreed upon I will do nail trimmings, anal gland expressions or some light grooming duties for an additional charge (but discounted from your vet's prices!). I work Monday through Friday but telework two days per week giving me flexibility to care for your pets during the week and on weekends. Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
