“Sally provided drop in visits for our cat Daisy and I couldn't be happier. She kept her company while we were on vacation and sent us plenty pictures and updates which made it so much easier on us! I would definitely book with Sally again. Very friendly, respectful and overall good interaction and experience.”

“Christina and Sir Walter Charles Harker bonded like they were old friends. We have blink cameras installed in the living room, dining room and computer room and we watched Walters and Christina's interactions. Without Christina caring and gentle ways with Walter and Walters taking to her, I don't think that my wife would have been able to relax on the 5 day cruise we were on. Christina is professional, caring, and follows directions to a tee. She is a top tier sitter and we will definitely use her again. Christina, both Kathleen and I thank you for the care and time you spent with Walter!”

“Ms. Almudena was absolutely wonderful with our dog and cats - she was incredibly attentive, and went above and beyond, and expertly cared for our pets who needed medicine twice daily. Will absolutely reach out to her again to care for our fur babies while we are away!”

“Alyssa did a great job! She was willing to watch my pup on very short notice, and followed instructions very well. I could tell my girl was crazy about her from the pictures. Ill definitely request her again in the future!”

“Victoria is easily one of the best cat sitters we’ve had. She was super patient with my cats who were initially shy but really came to enjoy being around her. She was super communicative and made sure everything was taken care of before we got home so we didn’t have to worry about anything!”

“Summer was great. She took time to photograph our cats and include then photo(s) with each update. One of our cats, Kissa, is a very shy but he was posing for Summer while she took his photo. We appreciate her help with our cats. Upon planning our next trip, we will contact Summer and request her services. Thank you Summer!! Ken & Olga”

For your home, I am open to whatever your normal routine is for your babies.
“I had a wonderful experience with the dog play day at Katie's home! From the moment I arrived, she was incredibly friendly, welcoming, and passionate about caring for animals. My dog felt right at home and immediately connected with her warm energy. The environment was safe, clean, and perfect for socialization. My dog got along great with her dogs, and it was heartwarming to see how attentively the sitter watched over them, ensuring everyone was comfortable and having fun. It’s clear she genuinely loves what she does. I’m so grateful to have found someone who treats my pup like family. I’ll definitely be back! Highly recommend!”

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
