“It was a pleasure to have our whippet puppy Fern cared for by Cassidy and Cody while on vacation in Cape May. Cassidy and Cody were so laid back, relaxed and flexible when it came times and days we needed care for Fern. Fern was nervous at first meeting and staying with new friends Gus, (their dog) and their 2 children, but she was wagging her tail and so excited to go back to their house the following day! Fern got extra walks, and even went to the beach with them! We felt very comfortable leaving our baby In their care! I also appreciated getting text and picture updates of how Fern was doing throughout the day. I would definitely reach out to Cody and Cassidy again for dog sitting when we are in the area.”

About: I’ve been a loving parent to both cats and dogs for 25 years. I love animals and am happy to accommodate walk schedules, medications, injections, and of course, lots of playtime and scritches! My pup and I do pretty much whatever we want, whenever we want. I have a flexible work schedule and am often at home, so can accommodate desired potty break and walk times, medications, preferred activities (beach, dog park, hanging out at the house.) My pup is always ready for company and activity, but knows when it’s time to relax. I live in a private house set far back from the street, with a large, well kept (but unfenced) 1.5 acre yard. My dog, Pepper, is an extremely social, playful, but chill and well-behaved 5yr old neutered Jack Russell mix. He loves playtime with other dogs, but is respectful of the quieter styles of older dogs or dogs just needing rest. I have a comfy crate suitable for small to medium dogs (if you crate), lots of toys, and lots of time to engage with your sweetie. The area surrounding my home is safe and quiet, with many options for woodland walks. I live near dog-friendly beaches and the Saco river, so splashing is an option, too! If your dog has good recall, I can provide off-leash time in the 1.5 acre yard. I have a front porch with a protective gate to keep the sunbathers from getting out, and lots of space for indoor play time and resting as well.
About: I have had Labrador retrievers my whole life! And, 2 years ago fostered my cousin’s English bulldog for 6 months, while she was moving to ME! Friends and family ask me to watch their pups first, because they know I treat them like my own!! Pet care is a big part of my daily routine! Our 3 boys are my children. Once we wake up we head right outside, then we do breakfast, rest for a moment or two after eating, and then back outside for walks or play time! We also love car rides, cuddles, hiking, etc! Dogs that come to stay with us just fall right into our routines. Dogs are awesome, and deserve to be treated as such! We have 18 acres in Buxton! Perfect for dogs to play, and enjoy time outside. In our home pets are like family! They are welcome on furniture to get comfy.

About: Hi, my name is Michael and I am a proud owner of a beautiful King Charles Cavalier Spaniel and my dog and I would both love to have your pups company. Please let me know if you have any special instructions and I promise your pup will have a comfortable stay with many fun walks. Thanks! I provide 5 walks a day for my own pup and would love for your dog to join. I work from home so your dog will have ongoing company throughout most of the day. I have one friendly dog in a quiet calm environment with no children. I will feed and walk your doggy as requested, and can provide lots of pets as well.
“Bailey loves Kate. They played together and went on walks. I felt he was in good hands. I completely trusted her. Such a nice feeling to know your dog is both safe and happy.”

About: I have always had dogs but am currently without one after my 16-year-old golden retriever passed away. I am comfortable working with dogs of all ages, and understand how their needs, routines and personalities change throughout their lives. I live in a quiet community with beach access a short walk away. If you have a pup that loves to swim, go on adventures or walks, or simply spend time outside, I would be a great fit. While your away, you can be sure they too are enjoying a mini vacation. I can work from home so your dog will not be lonely during the day. There are some days I may not be home all day, but I will be sure to give them plenty of exercise with time to run, play or swim in the mornings, afternoons and evenings. I also have a life jacket for those dogs who are not strong swimmers or who may want a little extra support in the water. I've not crated any of my dogs, but if you are more comfortable with crating, I can accommodate that if you bring yours. I do not have a fenced in yard, but I do have a small side yard, access to trails and a beach so they will get plenty of time outside.
“A very safe wonderful place for my pup for the day. Easy access to their place and an adorable clean neighborhood. Lots of pics and walks. Ideal situation for us. Rachael was wonderful.”

“Khaila provided amazing day care for my almost 2 year old cockapoo when I had a long work day. She was patient and gentle with him despite him being a nervous boy at first. Will definitely be booking with her again!”

“Lindsay is fantastic. She has been a lifesaver with our new pup. He always comes home happy and tired, and Lindsay always gives great updates so I know exactly how our pup has been throughout the day. I couldn’t recommend her more.”

“I found James as a last minute dog-sitter when my original one cancelled on me. Ellie seems like she had a good time with all the play and attention that she could get. I would definitely recommend James to anyone looking for someone look after their fur babies 😄”

“They were incredible... My dog is going through a shy phase and they couldn't have been kinder with him. They sent pics throughout the day and updates and the home and the yard were perfect for a dog to have a super fun day. These are seriously good people and we'll be using them again whenever we're in the area. The perfect family to leave your furry loved one with.”

About: Welcome to our home! My husband, Zach, and I are lifelong animal lovers and understand how important it is to find a safe, loving place for your pet while you’re away. We live in a spacious home with both upstairs and downstairs areas, giving dogs plenty of room to relax and feel comfortable. I prefer well-trained, housebroken pets. Your dog’s safety, comfort, and happiness are always my top priorities. Dogs staying with us will enjoy regular walks and lots of attention. If your dog enjoys car rides, we can also go on adventures to local walking trails, parks, or other pet-friendly outings with your permission. Whether your pup prefers playtime, cuddles, or simply a quiet place to relax, we’ll do our best to make them feel right at home. We also have a cat named Phoebe. She is friendly but generally keeps to herself and stays out of the way of visiting pets. I provide frequent updates, photos, and communication so you can have peace of mind knowing your furry family member is being well cared for while you’re away. I look forward to meeting you and your pet! (Also if it a house sitting it will be me gabby who does those!) Pet care is my full-time profession, which means I have the flexibility to accommodate a wide range of schedules — including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and even last-minute requests when needed. I take pride in being dependable and responsive, so whether you need consistent daily visits or occasional check-ins while you’re away, I’m here to help. My goal is to make the process as smooth and stress-free as possible for both you and your pet. I understand that routines can change, and I’m happy to adjust accordingly to meet your needs. Just send me a message with your preferred schedule, and I’ll respond promptly to discuss availability and create a care plan tailored specifically to your pet. Your peace of mind and your pet’s well-being are always my top priorities. I look forward to working with you! When caring for your pet in your home, my top priority is to maintain a sense of consistency and security by following their established routine as closely as possible. I understand that pets thrive on familiarity — with their surroundings, feeding times, walking schedules, and the comforting rituals they’re used to. By preserving these routines, I help ensure that your pet feels safe, calm, and confident in your absence. I take the responsibility of entering someone’s home very seriously and treat every space with the utmost respect and discretion. I’m mindful of your home’s cleanliness, privacy, and any specific instructions you leave — from alarm codes and feeding schedules to favorite toys and bedtime habits. I also provide regular updates, including messages, photos, and notes about how your pet is doing, so you can feel connected and reassured while you’re away. Whether it’s administering medication, monitoring behavior, or offering extra snuggles to ease separation anxiety, I’m committed to giving your pet the highest level of care and attention. Above all, my goal is to create a trustworthy and stress-free experience — for both you and your pet — by providing compassionate, dependable care in an environment where they feel most at ease: home.

Frequently asked questions about Rover
As of July 2026, there are 210 sitters on Rover offering Doggy Day Care across Bonny Eagle. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.
Sitters on Rover can offer flexible scheduling, so you can coordinate times that work best for you and your pet—whether that’s early drop-off or later pick-up to match your Bonny Eagle commute.
If your schedule changes, it’s best to let your sitter know through the app as early as possible. Many sitters can adjust pick-up and drop-off times when needed.
Think of doggy day care as your dog’s fun, supervised play date that happens to fit into your workday. Day care through Rover takes place in a real home. This offers a calmer and more personalized environment for your pup.
A typical day can include companionship, one-on-one attention, and same day pick-up and drop-off. Many sitters can also offer structured routines and exercise throughout the day. For recurring, weekly day care, sitters will include photo updates so you can see your dog in their element.
Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:
- For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0–7 kilograms and/or 7–18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
- For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pup’s socializing needs.
- For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.
Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in ME ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, Rover is well-suited for finding sitters who can care for your pet within 24 hours. With 210 sitters in Bonny Eagle, 93% respond to messages in under an hour.
You can message multiple sitters simultaneously to find the fastest available match. If you need care today or tomorrow, you can look for sitters with a "calendar last updated" notice on their profiles.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
