“I'm only hours home from my trip, but made it my first priority after unpacking to review my experience with Trisha and Dan, who "pet-sat" our dog Piper this weekend. Piper is attached at the hip to my wife. He was a dog that was found abandoned on the street, abused, and has a bit of what we think us PTSD. He gets VERY nervous if you are not right at his side, cannot stay alone, etc. Unfortunately my cousin suddenly passed away and were needed a dog sitter so we could attend services out of state. Very nervous that it would be hard on Piper to be without us, (and knowing we couldn't put him a kennel-type environment with his anxious personality), we spent hours on DogVacay looking for the perfect host. Trisha got back to us within minutes (talk about professional!). She was so awesome and detailed, and we knew right then that Piper would be in good hands. Piper stayed with Trish and her husband in their gorgeous home in a safe, quiet neighborhood (with a fenced in backyard) for 2 days, and they were excellent at communicating with his. They're such good people- so kind and friendly and love animals. Piper is now home (though I'm not sure he wants to be!) I've said jokingly "Piper- Do you want to go back to Trisha, Dan, and Stout's house?" and his ears perk up and the tail starts wagging. They are the best of the best, and I cannot recommend them highly enough. We are forever grateful to them for taking Piper on such short notice and taking such good care of him!”

She was warm, calm and friendly and we felt that we were leaving our dog in good hands and felt the same when we picked her up. She had a small fenced enclosure with small to medium dogs and a larger fenced enclosure where she promised to walk the animals for some exercise. She also addressed my concerns about having my dog have some space or separation from her other dog guests as our dog wasn't that accustomed to lots of dogs at once. About: I’ve volunteered at the San Diego animal shelter and taken trainer courses to become certified to meet their standards. I’ve fed, bathed, walked, played and socialized with all kinds of dogs big small hyper calm young and old! I love them all! In my travels on the road I would find time to visit the local animal shelters and walk some of their dogs! If I ever see a stray or even a question in doubt about a dog I will try and find it it’s owner/home or bring it to safety. I can handle all types of dogs and love to see them happy and comfortable!! I will walk the perimeter of my property multiple times a day! A 10x10 kennel and ground stakes with leads for pups to stay tied to! There are walking trails within walking distance of property lots of good adventures await!! Will feed when requested with the food provided and constant and endless water supplied in more than one location!!! Hydrated dogs are happy dogs!!Your dog will be right at home away from home. Well mannered pups will be loose in the house. Have rooms with large enough space to separate dogs too if there is ever a concern for anyone’s safety. Please bring: harness, collar and leash, dog food and bowls. Special medication if any required. For comfort please bring their crates if they love them and bed or blankets a toy or two and a pillowcase or shirt that smells like mamma or dad so they know you are always near!!
About: I grew up on a farm, so I've had experience with a variety of animals, especially dogs! My family has always had at least one dog, all with varying sizes. I've endured it all from the ankle biters, the sweetest pitbulls and border collies, to the greatest of the danes. I'm currently a college student, so my evenings and weekends are free! “My dog - Munchkin - stayed wtih Jeanne for a day while we did some sightseeing. Her place was clean and well kept. She was warm, calm and friendly and we felt that we were leaving our dog in good hands and felt the same when we picked her up. She had a small fenced enclosure with small to medium dogs and a larger fenced enclosure where she promised to walk the animals for some exercise. She also addressed my concerns about having my dog have some space or separation from her other dog guests as our dog wasn't that accustomed to lots of dogs at once. I would use Jeanne's service again without hesitation. ”
