“Judith was absolutely wonderful with our Golden Retriever girl, Sage! She was very communicative throughout the entire stay, providing us with regular updates that kept our minds completely at ease. It is clear that she is incredibly caring and attentive, treating Sage like one of her own. We couldn't have asked for a better sitter and highly recommend Judith to anyone looking for top-notch care!”

“Nueva was a lovely sitter for Johnny. He really enjoyed his stay with her. She updated us throughout the week with texts and pictures, so we could enjoy our vacation knowing that our little dog was having a good time. Would highly recommend, and we will definitely use Nueva again if we travel without our dog.”

About: I have always grownup with dogs. I currently own 3 dogs and I love being outdoors. Adventures with my pets are always amazing. I feel great joy anytime I hangout with pets. I currently work as an electrical designer engineer. I also run an Airbnb with my partner and we both do Rover together. I work from home Wednesday through Friday. Saturday and Sunday my schedule is flexible. I have a fully fenced home this includes the front of house as well. The outside of the house has cameras to ensure the property is safe. We also have outdoor lighting. We also have two separate backyards one for our pets and the other for your furry friends.

“Alexis is a phenomenal sitter!! She sent so many updates for our Conrad and followed all instructions for him perfectly! I'm so thrilled with the love she provided him during his stay and I felt at ease knowing he was in great hands! I highly recommend Alexis! We will be bringing Conrad back next time we are in the palms springs area!”

“Edith was wonderful! The boarding request was last minute and she graciously accepted the booking. Lucy was well cared for during her stay. Edith even washed Lucy’s bed before I picked her up. Thank you!”

“Matt was absolutely incredible! He stayed with our dog Nipsey for 3 days. Communication was outstanding, we got daily updates with photos and videos, which gave us total peace of mind. Will definitely rebook again!”

“There are No Words for the care Lacey gave my aging dog Morgan for an entire week. He is at the handful age now and when I left him with Lacey, the text I got made me feel he was in good hands. She has a caring soul and would recommend her highly for anyone looking for someone to take Wonderful care of their baby. Thank you Lacey for making me feel at ease.”

About: I’ve cared for pets since I was a child, including dogs, cats, bunnies, hamsters, and snakes. Animals have always held a special place in my heart. I am available every day, including weekdays and weekends so I have plenty of time to give your pets the attention care and companionship they deserve. My home has a brick fence, a garden, multiple outdoor doors, and plenty of space. I also have a clean, air conditioned home and a friendly senior dog.
“Luz sent me pictures of my senior dog sleeping, walking on a brick path, smelling grass, and roaming in a wooded area. I could tell that Cici was happy and that she was in good hands boarding at Luz's property! I appreciated that I didn't have to worry about her.”

“Our boy has had such great TLC on this trip, and we cannot thank Rose enough for all the pics, updates, and snuggles she provided! We are also thankful to Rose for being so accommodating when our plans changed a bit.”

“Shelly was fantastic with Noah. When she first met him she bent over to pet and I was worried because he is a barking mess when people do that. He didn't bark at all and warmed right up to her. I will admit I was shocked and was waiting for the him to bark. She set many pictures and made me feel good about leaving him. Will book her for our next trip.”

“Elaine did a fantastic job watching our little babies. We have never left our dogs with a sitter before and so we were a little apprehensive at first, but everything worked out perfectly. We will definitely be using her again the next time we travel!”

About: I am a single man who lives alone and loves animals sometimes more than humans.😂 I can’t think of a time in my life where I didn’t have a dog or cat. My pets are my family. I will give your pets the same attention and care as my own. I am pretty much a homebody so I spent a lot of time with my animals. My dogs are leash trained so we go out for walks around three times a day. Unless you request more of us if not there is a place in the backyard for them to go will keep your dogs on whatever diet you request. My apartment is very animal friendly plenty of toys and beds. I am very cautious I don’t have anything that would could be harmful to pets safely put away.
“Worked with me an absolutely insane amount on just about everything. Texted me updates and all that, really just did everything. Could not have felt more comfortable leaving her anywhere else or with anyone else”

“We left Freya with Hugh & Mary for our trip and it was the best thing we ever did. Not only was she in good hands, we also had the peace of mind the whole entire trip. They communicated very well and sent us many updates. Freya always loves coming over to Hugh & Mary’s house.”

“Heather was an amazing sitter for our Chubbs. She made sure he was treated like part of her family. She made necessary adjustments if she saw he wasn’t sleeping or eating to his liking. Very communicative, sent lots of pictures and updated us often. I would absolutely use Heather again and recommend her.”

“We booked Karyn last minute on the way to Disneyland. She is located right off the highway in a super nice gated community with a park great for dogs. She loved our dog and we could tell she was well taken care of...pictures and good communication too.”

“David (and Bill as well) took such great care of Hazel while we were vacationing in the area. As soon as we arrived, they welcomed her and showed us around. Any “first time visit” concerns were immediately put to rest. David updated us with texts and photos and took her on multiple walks. It was a relief knowing our girl was in good hands and that we could enjoy ourselves. I highly recommend David and wouldn’t hesitate to book a visit with him again! :)”

“Emma took wonderful care of my dog. Easy and prompt communication, and she was very accommodating to my drop off and pick up time changes. Super nice as well (she gave me extra poop bags because I ran out!). Will definitely rebook for next time.”

Frequently asked questions about Rover
Rover is the largest marketplace for local pet care. Whether you're looking for pet sitters, dog walkers, or house sitters who specialize in pet sitting, you can narrow your search by entering your ZIP code to find sitters within walking distance in your neighborhood.
Every sitter on Rover has their own routine. Depending on the arrangements you agree on before the stay, a sitter can follow your dog’s regular feeding schedule, provide a comfortable place to sleep, offer companionship, and support their usual exercise and play needs.
Depending on the sitter, their home environment, and your dog’s needs, daily exercise may include walks, outdoor play, indoor enrichment activities, or supervised play with compatible dogs. These activities are not automatically included with every booking, so ask the sitter what a typical day looks like.
During the Meet & Greet, discuss your dog’s usual exercise and play routine, whether they can safely interact with other dogs, and any activities or restrictions the sitter should follow. You can also ask the sitter to send photo and message updates during the stay so you can see how your dog is spending their time.
Preparing for drop-off is easy when you have a checklist! To help your dog settle into their Bonnie Bell home-away-from-home, we recommend packing:
- Health and safety essentials such as their ID tags, vaccination records, medication, and emergency vet or secondary caregiver contacts.
- Food and gear such as harnesses, collars, food (portioned by day), and an item that smells like you.
- Special instructions such as a list of training cues, medical administration needs, or favorite hang-out spots in your Bonnie Bell.
Tip: You can upload your dog’s routine and medical info directly onto their profile so your sitter always has the details at their fingertips.
You and your Bonnie Bell sitter can schedule drop-off and pick-up in a way that works best for the both of you—and your dog. Most sitters offer flexible times for drop-off and pick-up but the easiest way to confirm those times will be through in-app messaging. Confirm your arrival time the day of pick-up and drop-off can also help keep the process smooth and organized.
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee, which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page.
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in CA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
