“Chaselyn was WONDERFUL! We unexpectedly needed a sitter within only a days notice. Chaselyn worked around our insanely busy Sunday schedule to come do a meet and greet with our puppers before coming later in the day to spend the night with them 🤍 She sent photos and videos, made sure the pups got good play time and loves, and kept our minds at ease while we were gone. We will DEFINITELY be rebooking with her!!”

“Second time booking with Mariah. It was such a relief to head out knowing that my senior dog was also going to have a great day with her sitting. Mariah sent photo updates and it was clear that my dog had a wonderful day with a ton of time outside. In only two sittings, it's clear that my dog and Mariah have a great bond. She left my house cleaner than she found it. Can't recommend Mariah enough!”
“The animals were super happy to see her and content. She provided photos of all the critters everyday. The cats did typical silly cat things and she let us know which was appreciated. Highly recommend!”

About: I know pets aren’t one size fits all - whether your pet has a complicated routine or a simple one, is friends with everyone or needs time to warm up, I care for each animal as an individual to best meet their needs. I’ve had dogs and cats my whole life, with the occasional chicken, pig, rabbit, horse, or cow added to the mix! For the last 6 years I have been the go-to sitter for my friends and acquaintances. I have sitting experience with dogs and cats of all ages, including seniors with medication, reactive dogs, and high energy working breeds. When your pet is in my care, their safety and comfort is my top priority! I offer drop in visits and walks 7 days a week! I work from home full time M-F but my day wraps up at 3pm, giving me open afternoons and evenings to see your pet! While my weekday mornings are more limited I’m happy to discuss options. I am currently able to offer overnight stays at your home every other weekend. Please send me a message to confirm availability! I care for your pets as if they were my own - their safety and comfort is the most important thing. For this reason, I will limit your pets interactions with any animals outside of the home on walks unless otherwise specified by you.
“I cannot say enough positive things about Jennifer! It was so wonderful to be able to have such piece of mind knowing our home and pets were in such good hands for our trip. I will 100% be booking with her again. I can’t thank her enough for all of her exceptional care!”

About: I’ve had the pleasure of caring for dogs of all ages, from puppies to seniors, in various sizes and breeds. Plus, I’ve spent a lot of time training them to be the best they can be! I’m working mostly nights and late afternoons right now. So I am available during the day to care for your pets. Late night check-ins in the evening. I will care for your pets per your instruction in your home and strive to keep your pets schedule as close to normal as can be. I’m well versed in crating, training and animal care.
“We only had our puppy for 1 month when we went on vacation so we were very worried about leaving him and our senior cat. Aja sent us lots of pictures and gave us peace of mind so we could enjoy our vacation. Aja not only took great care of our pets but left our house in total order.”

“Leah stepped in last minute to watch our dog for the weekend. She was great about touching base and providing updates on our pup while we were away. We’d recommend her highly to anyone looking for pet care. Thanks Leah!”

“Crystal was wonderful. Our pup was immediately calm and comfortable with her. She was a great communicator and sent us regularly updates. She took our dog out on adventures and walks and gave her lots of snuggles. It was our first time leaving our pup with someone who wasn’t a close friend or family, but crystal was so supportive and trustworthy. She left our house clean and tidy and our dog was calm and tuckered out when we got home. We feel so grateful to know we can leave town when we need to and that our dog will be in great hands. Thank you so much!”

“Ana was really kind and flexible. I made several changes to my booking and she accommodated them all. She also accommodated my dog's separation anxiety and stayed with her almost 24 hours a day at my request. The place was just as I left it and Monkey had all over her needs met.”
“Damajah was an absolute joy to work with! She was thorough with questions about required care and my animals likes and dislikes. She won my cat over which has NEVER happened before! She must have made him feel very secure and trusting because when she sent pictures of him with her, my heart nearly burst! My house was immaculate when we returned, better than I left it. She laundered anything she used, wiped counters, vacuumed etc. it was such a wonderful way to come home. Damajah kept in steady contact with pictures and updates, I knew my animals and home were in the best possible hands. I will 100% rebook with her and would not hesitate to recommend her! Thank you for loving my critters like your own, Damajah!”

“We were so fortunate to have found Kayla when we had to leave town on such short notice. We rarely travel without our 2 babies but having an option for consistent care while being away from home has provided us with so much peace. Thank you, thank you, thank you!!”

About: I've been caring for dogs for over 10 years, and it's something I genuinely love. As a young, active dog owner myself, I understand that every pup deserves patience, attention, and lots of fun! Whether your dog loves long walks, playing fetch, exploring, or curling up for belly rubs, I'll make sure they feel right at home. I treat every dog like they're part of my own family and always focus on creating a safe, happy, and stress free experience. Your best friend is in caring, experienced hands. I can't wait to meet your pup and become their new favorite sitter! 🐾❤️ I currently work 9 to 5 Tuesday through Friday in Port Townsend. I could do nighttime watching/sitting after my daytime job. I am free most weekends anytime and now available on Mondays anytime. Your dog's safety, comfort, and happiness are always my top priorities. I know how important it is to trust someone in your home and with your furry family member, so I treat both with the same respect and care I would my own. I'll stick to your dog's routine, provide plenty of love, exercise, and attention, and make sure they feel safe and relaxed while you're away. You'll also receive regular photo updates, so you can enjoy your time away knowing your pup is happy, well cared for, and in trusted hands. My goal is for you to come home to a happy dog and a home that's been cared for just as you left it.

“Veronica is our dogs new best friend! Veronica was our puppies 1st sitter and she exceeded our expectations (which are high)! I don’t have children, so you understand. We’ll use Veronica again!”

About: Since I was a child my family has had pets in the home. When I was 9 my sister and I collaborated to earn ourselves a kitten and since then pet care has been an important part of my life both the cuddly and the smelly. Most of my experience is with cats, I have one myself who is a total sweetheart once she gets comfortable. I’ve watched over and managed multiple cat households, senior cats, outdoor cats, and cats that have required oral medication. I also have experience watching over dogs, taking them out when needed, playing with them to help tire them out. I am comfortable walking dogs big and small, I am not professionally trained but know I can hold my own when needed. I’m currently between jobs so have plenty of time to care for your pets! Available all hours of the day and night, and I can be flexible with new jobs or cancellations. I have experience house sitting so I understand that it’s often about more than just taking care of your pets but also ensuring that your home is safe and well kept. People I’ve sit for can attest that I do my best to ensure everything is in its place and to make the space at least as clean as it was originally.

Frequently asked questions about Rover
As of October 2026, there are 512 sitters on Rover offering House Sitting across Blyn. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.
Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Blyn walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Blyn maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
<b>Tip:</b> Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Blyn choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to 25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to 25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a casual meeting to vet potential sitters and communicate care needs for peace of mind before a booking begins. Only sitters who have never booked with you before can schedule a Meet & Greet on Rover; however, you are welcome to coordinate one in Rover messages with sitters you have previously booked. This can be helpful if you have a new pet or routine you want to go over with your sitter.
Meet & Greets can take place in person or virtually. If you are booking with a sitter for the first time, we recommend in-person Meet & Greets to get a clearer sense of how your sitter interacts with your pet or the new environment.
During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Meet & Greets are a great way to prepare your pet and sitter for longer stays or first-time bookings. Read our tips for your first Meet & Greet .
sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy , which you can find on their profile under their contact information. Sitters may set a same-day, one-, three-, or seven-day cancellation policy. Cancelling within your sitter’s cancellation policy qualifies you for a full refund.
Same-day cancellations for recurring services, which include walks, drop-ins, and day care, follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for pet boarding and house sitting, if you cancel after 12 pm on the applicable cancellation deadline, you’ll receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for any remaining days.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means you will get a full refund and our support team will work with you to find a replacement sitter.
