About: I’ve been a mom to small dogs most my adult life. I currently have a chill 7 lb shih tzu mix that would love company on our two daily walks. I work part-time and am never away for more than 4 hours. (Often my college age son is home when I’m out) I’ve taken care of very young pups as well as older dogs requiring medications and special diets. I’m responsible and loving, doing my best to keep pups content while their people are away. I’m communicative and responsive and provide daily pupdates. I work two to three days a week for no more than 4 hours, so I’m home a lot. I have a 7 year-old shih tzu mix that I walk twice a day so I have a good routine established. My college age son lives with me and is super helpful and responsible. Generally if I’m out, he’s home to give extra potty breaks and belly rubs. My back yard is quite big and securely fenced-lots of room for sniffing! My house is cozy and comfortable-I’m happy to have pups on my lap on the couch and in my bed for the night. I do host up to 3 dogs at a time and have a small pup of my own, so I ask that your dog is well socialized.

Both of our dogs were smitten with her from the moment she walked in the door for a meet & greet. My own dog, Clark, a whimsical and willful 12-year-old Poodle, recently passed from mitral valve disease which progressed to congestive heart failure. While this is sadly common in Poodles and other small breeds, it’s never enough time to say goodbye. Dogs will always be a part of my life, and I’d be honored to welcome yours into a calm and nurturing home. Through supporting Clark, I became deeply experienced in senior care- administering oral medications, monitoring for signs of distress, and creating a peaceful environment where he could feel safe and loved. I’m comfortable with medication management, light grooming (teeth brushing if tolerated, baths, and nail trims), and I keep essentials like pee pads, a litter box, and a playpen for dogs who are dual-trained or prefer enclosed rest. I also have a backpack carrier for pups under 15 lbs who like to come along on errands. I live near downtown Seattle, so I’m very vigilant during walks. I keep dogs on a close leash when needed, and for small dogs I’ll scoop them up if a large dog, bike, or scooter is approaching or when crossing busy streets. Safety is always my top priority. I’m typically home all day, and if I do step out, it’s never for more than 3–4 hours. I know the local emergency vets in Seattle and can quickly recognize signs of illness or stress. My goal is to provide attentive, reliable care that feels like an extension of your own love for your dog. Since I’m currently in school remotely, I’m home all day to provide attention and care. I may run errands but takes no more than 3-4 hours. If your pet is under 15lbs, I can Carry them in my backpack pet carrier and they can come with me. My apartment building is very secure. A fob is required on entry. The building is quiet and I like to keep a short leash upon entering and leaving.

I’m a bit boring in that I like being a homebody as I appreciate solitude & peace; nature is the biggest motivator for me as well as pleasant places to walk. I am big on communication & work best with clear guidelines from both yours & my side. I raised tulip on a structured routine since we did travel so much so I really appreciate those who have their own animals on structured schedules. Not mandatory of course, but I do think it plays a positive effect on the animals life - especially when a stranger is taking care of them it usually helps with their anxiety. I’m always happy to meet ahead of time so you can feel comfortable with who you’re entrusting your pets and home to. Speaking from personal experience, knowing the person caring for your animals makes a huge difference in reducing stress and anxiety. About: Since being on my own, I have had some fur baby in my life. Both puppies and elders will be well loved here. We have a deep relationship with our own animals. All are fully vaccinated and attend their annual health checks. We also love on them when they ask us to, meeting their mental health needs as well. Husband is still working from home with no return to the office in sight. And we are a currently a multi-generational home. There will always be some human here to care for your furry family member. We have a huge, secure, fenced backyard and two dogs of our own. Your pup will be well exercised here and will come home exhausted (and maybe a little dirty). We also love cuddling with our fur babies, and will welcome any (reasonably sized) dogs onto our bed if that is where they feel comfortable, or we have room for a crate or any dog bed you want to bring. We feed our pooches 3x a day. But we find that most guests have a 2x per day routine, and will continue to hold your home routine. We also give oral medication to one of our pups, once a day.
