Pet Policy
Rules and restrictions
Be sure to review this information before your trip and plan accordingly. And remember that all airlines have different restrictions, so read each airline’s rules before you book a new trip.
- Small dogs and cats may travel in the cabin in an FAA-approved pet carrier that fits comfortably under the seat in front of you. Pet carrier cannot exceed 17″L x 12.5″W x 8.5″H, and the combined weight of your pet and the carrier must be 20 pounds or less. Your pet carrier counts as one carry-on item.
- One pet max per person is allowed.
- Pets are not allowed in mint seating.
- Pets are not allowed on flights to Jamaica, Barbados, St Lucia, the Cayman Islands, or Trinidad & Tobago.
- Pets must remain inside the pet carrier while at the airport and on the plane.
Additional info for when you arrive at the airport:
- After check-in, visit a full-service counter—or speak with a JetBlue crew member in the self-service lobby—to get a JetPaws® bag tag. This attaches to your pet’s carrier indicating it’s runway-ready.
- You can gate-check pet strollers for no charge to the arrival gate or bag carousel at your destination.
- You will need to remove your pet from their crate when you go through security.
