Pet Policy
Rules and restrictions
Be sure to review this information before your trip and plan accordingly. And remember that all airlines have different restrictions, so read each airline’s rules before you book a new trip.
- International policy: Pets cannot be brought on if you are flying in business class because there isn’t enough room under the seats.
- Pets allowed in the main cabin: small cats, dogs, rabbits, and rodents less than 8kg. Pets weighing over 50kg (110lbs) including the container, must be shipped as cargo and not as checked baggage. (Generally, in-cabin crates should be soft-sided and fit under the plane seat in front of you. The maximum dimensions for a soft pet carrier on Norra operated flights are 55x40x20 cm (21x15x8in). And for cargo crates, the ASPCA says that crates should be large enough for your pet to sit, stand, and turn around in.)
- The total weight of the pet and container may not be more than 8 kg (17 lb).
- Pet must be at least eight weeks of age in order to travel.
- Pet must stay in its carrier throughout the entire journey, from the departure gate until you have entered the arrival terminal at your destination.
