Pet Policy
Rules and restrictions
Be sure to review this information before your trip and plan accordingly. And remember that all airlines have different restrictions, so read each airline’s rules before you book a new trip.
- Small pets are allowed to travel in a carrier less than 16″x17″x8″ in the seat.
- Large pets require a purchase of an additional seat and must stay on the floor for safety reasons.
Additional helpful info about traveling with pets:
- Have a brachycephalic breed? These breeds have a shortened head and nose, and flat face (e.g. pugs, shih tzus, and Chihuahaus), so they typically have trouble breathing, which flying can exacerbate. Be sure to consult your veterinarian to determine if it’s safe for your dog to fly.

About
Founded in 2006 by airline veterans, Elite Airways is a relatively new carrier that adjusts destinations as demand increases or decreases. Their mission is to be more focused on a quality travel experience than on the bottom line, and to that end, there are never change fees, and the first bag is always free. Headquartered in Portland, Maine, Elite Airways operates a fleet of Bombardier CRJ 200 and 700 jets. They are a U.S. Part 121 Air Carrier and provide charter and scheduled service throughout the U.S., Canada, Mexico, Caribbean, and South America.
