Rules and restrictions
Be sure to review this information before your trip and plan accordingly. And remember that all airlines have different restrictions, so read each airline’s rules before you book a new trip.
- Pets are not allowed to travel in main cabin.
- Pets allowed as checked baggage: domestic animals such as cats, dogs, and small caged birds. For cargo crates, the ASPCA says that crates should be large enough for your pet to sit, stand, and turn around in.
- Restricted breeds: for-profit breeds, such as racing greyhounds.
- Pets are not allowed to travel as checked baggage and must travel as cargo. For cargo crates, the ASPCA says that crates should be large enough for your pet to sit, stand, and turn around in.
- Due to space limitations, only one crate per passenger is allowed. If you have more than one cage, then your pet must be pre-booked and travel as cargo.
- If you require the transportation of any other type of domestic pet or livestock, or wish your pet to travel unaccompanied, visit the cargo section.
