About: My dad was a police officer when I was younger, and he'd always bring home every stray dog that he got a call about or found. So I've been around dogs my whole life. I've helped take care of them & I absolutely love dogs! My family has 5 right now, and there hasn't been a time we haven't had one. There's not a breed I'm afraid of, and I'm very patient & understanding with any dog I meet. I'll follow any rules or restrictions you have & your dog will most certainly be taken care of & loved. One of my dogs is super protective over me so he can be unpredictable sometimes when other dogs are in his house and/or around me. He usually relaxes pretty quickly after taking some time to get used to them. We also have 4 cats at our house. I primarily help my mom take care of my brother with disabilities so he comes first, but that does mean my schedule is usually open and pretty flexible I will follow whatever rules and routines you have in place, and will take the best care of your fur baby(ies). They will be loved on and treated like my own!

About: Hi my name is Jasmine. My experience with animals is personal and professional. I have helped pet sitting and walking dogs for over 5 year of experience now. I have 2 dogs of my own who go with me wherever I go except when working lol. I've been having dogs and cats my entire life & I have much experience ranging from puppy - senior needs. Love making new pet buddies, and want to ensure they are as happy as can be. Pets are great companions and I look forward to meeting many new buddies! I'm currently working part-time, so I'll have plenty of time to play with your pups! I'm available for boarding on weekends, and weekdays after 12pm I have a fenced back yard and two friendly dogs to keep your fur baby company. I can easily crate your dog if needed. I always make sure we go on walks, clean up after them, play with them. I always make sure they are fed when they are suppose to and have water.

About: My name is Allanna, and I've been dogsitting for about two years now! I recently moved back to Shelby, I actually grew up in the area, so I'm very comfortable and familiar with it! I love all pets - dogs, cats, and even the not so furry ones like reptiles (yes, I'll even love your pet spider if you have one ;]) I also LOVE cleaning, so I'm great for house-sitting as well! I'm a part time barista so I have a lot of free time! I've owned my fair share of dogs and cats (currently I have none, sadly) so no worries about love or experience! I love hiking, so I love long walks! Also as a bonus, I'll bake healthy, homemade treats for your pets, or even sweets for you!

“Couldn’t recommend Susanna enough! I loved getting updates and pictures of my boy and I know he had a great time on his walks. Susanna is kind, trustworthy and truly cares about the animals!”

About: Growing up with animals all my life, I have hands-on experience caring for reptiles, dogs, and cats. I truly enjoy building trust with every animal I meet and making sure they feel safe, comfortable, and loved while you're away. From walking energetic pups to cleaning reptile enclosures and providing shy cats with the space they need, I tailor my care to each pet’s personality and individual needs. I'm experienced in administering oral medications, maintaining clean and enriching environments, and giving lots of one-on-one attention! Whether it’s a lizard who needs specific heat and humidity levels or a senior dog who needs a little extra patience, I’m here to help. Your pets will be treated like family—because I genuinely love what I do. If it's not an animal I am familiar with, I am willing to learn and help where I can. Let’s chat about how I can help care for your pet! I’m a stay-at-home mom with plenty of free time during the day to care for your furry family members. I’m typically available between 9:30 AM and 3:00 PM, but I am flexible around those times. I have six pets of my own—three dogs and three cats—each with their own unique personality and special medical needs, so I’m no stranger to the joys (and quirks!) of animal care. Whether your pet needs playtime, cuddles, or a little extra TLC, I’ve got it covered! Your pet’s safety and comfort are my top priorities. Whether I’m caring for them in your home or mine, I provide a calm, clean, and pet-friendly environment. I follow your routines closely to keep things familiar and stress-free. That could range from setting up certain times of the day where we throw toys in the yard or play tug to feeding times. I feed my animals twice a day and even though I feed them twice, I have a pup named rocky, who chooses to eat only once, no matter what brand of food to keep it appetizing for him. We would do walks typically in the morning times as the temperatures are lower. My animals and kids keep me on my toes!

About: I have been taking care of all sorts of animals as far back as I can remember. I have experience in caring for puppies/kittens, geriatric, and exotic pet care. I am a certified veterinary assistant as well as having 2 years of experience as a kennel technician. I also have experience with special needs animals such as diabetic and paralytic animals. I currently work part-time so I have plenty of time to care and play with your fur babies! I am also not out of the house much when I am not working so I will have plenty of one on one time with your pet. I have three friendly dogs and one friendly cat that love to meet new friends. I do crate our dogs when no one is home which is very rare and will only be for a couple of hours typically. I have a large back yard but we do not let the animals run loose, they are tethered/leashed when outside. I will be watching and/or walking with them at all times when outside. If I am pet sitting animals in a client’s home I will care for the animal however the client directs me to and in the safest and loving way as possible.

I currently still have my 8 year old St.Dane but he can’t do much these days because of how old he is. I’d like to be more active and teach my kids responsibility and hard work. Just looking to help someone in my spare time is all. I had 2 dogs but one of them unfortunately recently passed. We love and spend time with our big guy. He’s my kids best friend.

About: Hello! I have around 9 years of experience taking care of pets including cats, dogs, snakes, goats, rodents, and fish. With both puppy/kitten experience and senior animal experience i am confident in my skills and above all care for animals big and small. I am experienced with specialized diets as both my senior dog and cat have special dietary needs, and I've handled giving medicine via shots, pills, and pastes. I do have some puppy training experience as well as working breed care/handling. My farm animal expertise is limited but I am confident I can learn and apply my current skills towards caring for you pets. I am a full time student and work part time as well, so my days can get a little hectic. Rest assured, my furry friends are always given every moment of my free time! I love caring for animals and being surrounded by them, so I always make a conscious effort to be with them as much as possible. Of course your furry friends will recieve that too! Meals and proper walks and playtime will always be provided, and I will do my best to fit into any routines of yours that your pet may be adapted to so they don't get stressed from the change. I always come alone, you can always be assured I have your pets' happiness and safety in mind. I do not currently have space to board any animals. I also don't mind doing house chores as needed especially plant care, yard cleaning, poop scooping, etc. Just let me know!!

“Jonathan was great!! Winston loves him I will definitely use him again and I will recommend him to anyone that’s looking for a dog walker or someone to watch their dog”

About: I’ve trained 3 puppies of my own, I’ve cleaned up more animal fluids than I care to mention, and I even have special experience taking care of farm animals! I work part-time and I’m a part-time student, so I have plenty of time to take care of your beloved animals! I’m extremely flexible and most hours of the day, available. I am a firm believer in outside time, so I value walking and playing outside as much as possible. I’m not scared of cleaning up mud either. Making sure that your animal is safe, happy, and healthy are my top 3 priorities.

About: I've taken care of all breeds of animals for majority of my life. I love all animals and would love to get the chance to love and care for yours as i do my own! I currently work Monday-Saturday 3-5 hours daily. Im available to care for your furbaby at your place of residence & would love the chance to care for your baby while you enjoy time away! I have a big yard (unfenced) and playful Goldendoodles (1 year old & 2 years old) for your furbaby to enjoy! We love going on walks and fun-time at the dog park.

About: My girlfriend and I both have many years of experience with dogs. I have been dog-sitting for friends and family for 7 years, staying in-house with their pets and taking their dogs for walks/runs when their owners have long work hours. We have also taken care of a couple of strays and lost dogs over the years, keeping them in our care until we could find them good homes or their original owners. We now also have a fur baby of our own named King. He loves all other dogs that come to hang out with him, but he is also crate trained and can be kept separate from your dog if preferred by owners and their pets. We are very attentive to any needs of the dogs in our care. Between the two of us, someone is home with your fur baby at all times. I work at a high school during regular school day hours, but my girlfriend is at home, dog-sitting while I am working. She does very flexible online work and school, so she is still able to closely watch and play with the dogs during that time. Between the two of us, someone is always with your fur babies, giving them the attention they deserve. We have a fenced yard with a secure gate latch. Our dog can be crated if your dog needs to have their own space. Weather permitting, we let the dogs hang in the yard as long as they want, with plenty of shade and food/water available. We have a dog-friendly house as well as our camper on the property, so plenty of space to be inside if there is rain or extreme temperatures. If caring for your pet in their own home environment, we stick to whatever schedule/plan you give us to make sure your pet feels secure and at home, with as little disruption to their regular routine as possible while you are away.

About: I have my own dog who I got as a puppy and he is now 5 years old and a little feisty. I also take care of my parents dogs and cats when they are out of town. I love dogs and I always have. I’m a college student and currently working and taking online classes. I’m around all week and most weekends. I’ll have plenty of time to keep your animals company and I would love to fill my day up with more love from animals. I can do whatever is needed for your pet. I’m ok with playing with your animal, just feeding it, letting it out or taking it out, crating it, etc.

“Jasmine was wonderful when taking care of my dog Camila. She fed, bathed, and took her on walks. Camila would be so excited and she’s normally anxious with other people which is great. When it comes to small dogs it takes a while to get comfortable with people but with Jasmine she was comfortable with.”

Allanna V.
“She has such a wonderful heart for animals. I'd venture to say she loves them far more than people. She has a real understanding with pets of almost any kind, and she's owned just about every kind of animal under the sun. I know she would care for your pets just as much as she'd care for her own.”

Susanna W.

“Couldn’t recommend Susanna enough! I loved getting updates and pictures of my boy and I know he had a great time on his walks. Susanna is kind, trustworthy and truly cares about the animals!”

Jessica B.
“Jessie is my Fiancée, and in the 6 years I’ve known her she’s taken great care of her (now deceased) childhood dog who lived a long, happy life of 15 years. She now has a kitten who she has been caring for amazingly since we adopted her. Jessie comes from a family of animal loving people and in my opinion, she follows suit. I can say with full confidence that Jessie will be a great addition to rover.com”
