In our first meeting and walk Susannah was communicative, reliable, friendly, and clearly a true dog lover! My (reactive) pittie took to her immediately and they had a great walk together. I appreciated how carefully she listened to my instructions and asked about my dog's potential triggers. I look forward to using her services in the future.

About: Hi there, I’m Chris! I’ve had some kind of pet in my life ever since I was little, from cats to dogs to aquatic acquaintances! I currently have two cats that bring me so much happiness. I’ve been my friend’s and family’s go to pet sitter for many years due to my obvious love of pets and animals. I’ve taken care of all sizes of dogs and of all ages, as well as mixed species pet families. I establish bonds with the animals I care for which can sometimes make it hard to say goodbye. I adore puppies due to their excitable nature and high energy! Cats have a special place in my heart because of the memories I share with the cats I’ve had but if you were to ask me if I was a cat or dog person; I’d say, “Why can’t you be both?” LGBTQIA+ friendly I graduated from college with a degree in anthropology and am now back in my hometown working a part-time contract job. My work schedule is very flexible so with enough time’s notice I can work any request into it. I am typically free to feed and walk pets in the morning and evening, as typical schedules go. Please let me know if there are any special requests or needs for your animal! I understand the importance of an animals happiness and mental state. I am very much used to taking care of pets in other’s houses and will follow the rules of the house perfectly. I have house sat in Kosher households before so I am familiar with the importance of following set rules. I am okay with pets that sleep on the bed with the owner or having to crate up a pet for the night. I am a private person and often keep to myself; I don’t cause a ruckus! I keep things nice and tidy just like the saying goes, “a place for everything and an everything in its place.”

Bing and Yifan are wonderful! They take such good care of my boy Gryffin. They are extremely trustworthy, thoughtful, and go out of their way to make sure Gryffin has a positive and fun experience during his walks. About: Hello; I'm a lifelong animal lover with over 10 years experience caring for and living with all dogs big and small. I'm flexible, reliable, and love walking, hiking, and staying with pets. I currently work as a part-time illustrator and personal chef, but have most of my day open to devoting to your pets. I'm able to stay with and care for animals (both short and extended term), and am also available for drop-ins, walks, and hikes. I've cared for many pets and homes (both long and short term) for over a decade. I love taking dogs out to the trail, the beach, and the park, and also have experience with various walking, medication, and care routines.

About: One of the nicest compliments I’ve received from a client was that, by the second or third day of their trip, they realized they simply weren’t worrying about their pets anymore. That’s exactly the kind of experience I hope to give every pet parent. I’ve cared for dogs, cats, rabbits, extensive home gardens, and farm animals, including sheep and cattle. My house sits have ranged from weekend stays to two months of live-in care, and I’ve looked after energetic young dogs, independent cats, rabbits, and homes with large gardens requiring daily watering and occasional coordination with irrigation professionals. When I arrive, my first priority is always your pets. Before I bring in my suitcase, grab a glass of water, or make myself comfortable, I check on them, their food and water, litter or yard needs, and spend time saying hello so they can become comfortable with me. As a longtime meditator, I bring a naturally calm, patient presence and let each animal approach and settle at their own pace. One client told me it was remarkable to watch her energetic young dog become calmer around me. Clients often describe me as thoughtful, organized, clean, and proactive. I read care instructions carefully, ask questions before you leave so I understand your routines, communicate regularly with updates, photos, and videos, and let you know promptly if anything unexpected arises. I treat every home with the same care and respect I would want someone to show mine. I work primarily from home and online, so I can spend plenty of time keeping your pets company, maintaining their normal routines. I also genuinely love caring for gardens and houseplants. I have completed several multi-week garden sits, including caring for an extensive garden that required up to an hour of daily watering and communicating with an irrigation specialist when problems arose. I know how much trust it takes to hand someone your keys and the care of the companions you most love. My goal is simple: for you to enjoy your trip knowing that your furry loved ones, home, and plants are being cared for thoughtfully. I work primarily from home and online, so pet sitting fits naturally into my routine. During house sits, I can spend substantial time at home with your pets rather than leaving them alone for a full workday. I’m able to maintain their usual feeding, walking, play, and bedtime routines while providing plenty of calm companionship throughout the day. Because some of my work involves filming or occasional local outings, I’ll always discuss your pet’s needs and how long they can comfortably be left alone before confirming a booking. Longer stays are especially welcome. I care for pets in their own home, where they can remain in the environment and routine they already know. Before a stay, I carefully review feeding instructions, walking routes, house rules, emergency contacts, veterinary information, medications or health concerns, and anything that may make your pet anxious or uncomfortable. When I arrive, I immediately check on the animals, their food and water, litter boxes or yard needs, and spend time helping them feel comfortable before I settle in myself. I keep doors, gates, leashes, and household access secure, follow your instructions closely, and never introduce new foods, activities, animals, or visitors without permission. I send regular photos, videos, and updates, and I will contact you promptly if I notice any change in behavior, appetite, energy, digestion, or the condition of your home. I’m calm in unexpected situations, proactive about finding solutions, and respectful of your privacy and belongings. I also leave homes clean, orderly, and ready for a comfortable return.

About: I’ve been around animals my whole life and have always loved taking care of them. I have a dog of my own and have helped care for pets of all kinds, from neighborhood pups to family cats. I’ve participated in dog training classes, I’m certified in animal CPR, and I’m currently a pre-veterinarian major studying biology. So this isn’t just something I enjoy, I’m truly passionate about it. I’m comfortable with dogs of all sizes and personalities, and I always try to make them feel safe, loved, and understood. Whether it’s a walk, a check-in, or just some company while you’re away, I’ll treat your pet like they’re my own! As a college student, I have a pretty flexible schedule. I have lots of time during the week and weekends to hang out with your pets. Walks, check-ins, playtime, I’d be so excited to do any of these with your furry friends. I love being outside and active, so spending time with animals is honestly the best part of my routine. I’m super mindful about keeping pets safe and comfortable, whether I’m in your home or out on a walk. I always follow care instructions closely, and I’m trained in animal CPR, so I’m prepared for emergencies (just in case!). I’ve also taken pet training classes, so I know how to read behavior and respond calmly if a pup gets nervous or overly excited. My goal is always to make your pet feel secure and happy, and to leave you feeling totally at ease, too.

About: I am empathetic towards others and have a soft spot for all animals. I am a friendly, loving, energetic person who owns 2 dogs and one bunny. Simba the bunny is 3 years old, my 12 year old schnoodle named Coco and my 6 year old Pitbull named Bella. I enjoy walking Coco in downtown or the beach, after 3 knee surgeries she can't keep up like before. Bella and I on the other hand enjoy taking long hikes or walks across town. Bella can be reactive with other dogs so I do have experience handling dogs who are anxious. I have successful trained puppies in basic commands such as to sit, stay, shake hands, and roll over. I believe it is important to spend time to stimulate the mind by teaching them new tricks. The smallest dog I have dog sat was a 5lb Yorki and the biggest dog weighed in at 65lbs. I do feel comfortable caring for all dog sizes and all dog ages. I'm currently working part-time and once we agree on a schedule I will be committed to sticking to it as I know the importance of structure for a dog. I like to have the dog/cat feel as comfortable as possible. Giving them time to adjust to me. I ask specific questions about feeding time, how and when. I have my dogs on a schedule and my day flows a lot smoother. When walking I like to make sure they are calm and following my commands before we start our walk. I don't just walk your dog I study them, look for cues of anxiety, nervousness or stress. Something I often do with my dog Bella. Because of how she reacts to other dogs I find places and times of the day she won't have many distractions so we can both enjoy the walk.

Edward is a great dog sitter and walker. He is a very friendly, warm personality, but has an approach with dogs that they respect. I've seen him work with different types of dogs and have great results. Every time my dog goes for a walk with him she comes back happy, and ready for a nap. I would highly reccomend Edward for anyone in the area looking for a great dog walker.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
