Daytime Adventures: Available most weeks days (7am-4pm, pickup or drop off) to take your pup on a hike, play yard games, and practice new skills. Sitting and Boarding: Kainoa and Carly are available for night and weekend sitting or longer-term boarding with 1 week advance notice.

We live on a large property with a fenced-in yard, lush green-pasture for playtime, and complete with a shaded (puppy-proof) deck! I have no problem with crate-training, my goal is to give your pet what they need to be settled, calm, happy, curious, and playful… and then to give them lots of love and cuddles and kisses!

Please let me know if your dog has any special needs, or anything unique that you do to make them feel comfortable, safe, and looked-after. I have a preference for dogs that are potty trained, recall trained, NOT aggressive, and get along with other dogs.

Our typical boarding routine: (1) Morning Walk (~1 mile, 20-30 minutes) -EAT- (2) Morning Play (~15-30m) - frisbee, ball, chase, obedience and attention training. - C h i l l - (nap, bone, sunbathing) (3) Afternoon Games & Tricks (~20-30m) -Trick training, IQ games, nose work, puzzles, toys. - C h i l l - (nap, bone, birdwatching) (4) Evening Play (~15-45m) - Round 2 (4a) or Hike - Frequent: Indian Valley, Burdell, and Deer Island trails in Novato (1-3 miles) -EAT- - C h i l l - (bone, toys, snuggling) (5) Bed Time

💫 Enriching Experiences for your Fur Babies! ⛰️ Day Walking Trail Adventures 🤸♂️ Stimulating Play and Training 💕Loving Care and Companionship My partner, Carly, and I love dogs and dogs love us! We have an Australian-Shepherd who such a bundle of joy, energy, and excitement, always eager to make new experiences, new pet friends, and new human-bonds! I've been taking care of dogs for as long as I can remember. I've always had at least 2-3 dogs at-home, at all times. These dogs have either stayed for just the day, overnight, or have boarded with me, the longest-boarding being 2-3 months with a German-Shepherd rescue, and we always have a blast. We always seek to find a routine so as to calm any boredom or stress throughout each day! We play, take walks, hang out in the grass yard / property, and go on 1-3 miles hikes in the local area! I love to spoil every dog I have the pleasure to be around, take scenic walks, and of course taking lots and lots of pictures.

I am so happy to have met Kainoa. He came at the perfect time and took such good care of my dog, Tucker.
I highly recommend Kainoa. He was an amazing sitter for my super senior dog who needs a lot of attention and support. Kainoa was eager to do what was needed and prioritized my dogs needs. He has a great space for the dogs and will make sure your dog is comfortable. He kept me updated during my trip and also gave an amazing detailed write up at the end. I could not have asked for more and would absolutely use him again. You’re dog will be lucky to have him watching them!
This is the first time for me using Rover, and my first time leaving my year and a half old Border Collie, Rosie, alone with a stranger. But as I was choosing a sitter from Rover's list, Kainoa's profile seemed to resonate, and he lives near me. He and Carly are wonderful people, and I am glad to have met them. They have a beautiful, large property with a big lawn, perfect for Rosie's favorite game of Fetch the Ball! They also own a year old Border Collie named Aka, and she and Rosie were Besties after about 2 minutes. I feel fortunate to have met Kainoa, and a relieved to know that Rosie wil Have a place to enjoy going to when we are going out and can't take her. If you have a high energy dog and want a sitter that knows how to engage them, I recommend Kainoa highly.
