“Jayden was absolutely phenomenal! Our dog Calypso is very skittish with new people, and in the past, sitters have struggled to get her outside for potty breaks because she was too scared. Jayden was able to take Callie out a mere four hours after we left. Callie warmed up to them very quickly and snuggled a bunch, which is no small feat on Jayden's part. Jayden was very communicative and sent multiple updates a day, including photos and videos. They were quick to respond to messages, and they left our home spotless. I would love to book with them again for future trips!”

About: I’ve grown up around animals and truly love spending time with them. I had a German Shepherd named Sheba and two cats, Pichu and Mitzu, and I’ve also cared for friends’ pets. Through Rover, I’ve walked and cared for pets of a wide range of ages. I’m experienced with walking, feeding, bathing, and giving pets the attention and care they need to feel comfortable and happy. About: I grew up in a household full of pets and have been lucky to live with people who also own pets, sharing the responsibility. Over the years, I've taken care of many dogs and several cats, rodents (guinea pigs and hamsters), hermit crabs, and fish. I have mostly owned small dogs and have been lucky to see them mature into their senior years, so I am familiar with the unique challenges that can come with age. I do feel comfortable walking and caring for dogs of any size. Right now, my family is fostering two 6-week old puppies who need lots of attention and care, so I am learning a lot about puppies. While I haven't yet charged for my services, I have been trusted by friends, family, and community members since I was 15 to pet-sit and house-sit. I graduated from college a year ago and have been bouncing around a lot, working ground control at music festivals. Between festivals, I need a place to stay, so I am especially looking for house-sitting opportunities to spend my time and have furry friends keeping me company. Other than sits and drop-ins, I'm not working, so I can give your loved ones the time and attention they deserve. I am big into travel, so I've met and lived with animals around the world. I've volunteered at shelters in the Bay Area, SoCal, and Louisiana. I was most recently living on a horse ranch in Georgia (the country) and took care of 2 farm dogs and a kitten. They were very independent and mostly required food, water, and serious cuddles. On the other hand, I've watched pets of various temperaments that had strict diets, medication schedules, and mental and physical health needs. I know every animal is different, and I'm happy to do all I can to care for yours just as you would. If your pet needs to sleep in bed with someone at night or other specific requests, I can do that. I will also be exploring Chicago for the first time, so if your dog has any favorite parks or routes, I would love to know!

About: I’ve been caring for animals since grammar school and have always had a deep appreciation for the role pets play in a family. Over the years I’ve lived in multi-pet households — at one point sharing a home with three dogs and four cats — and I’ve personally had three cats of my own. Our family Doberman passed a few years ago, and while we currently don’t have pets of our own, that has opened the door for us to provide a loving space for yours. For the past two years, I’ve proudly been a Rover sitter and have maintained a 5-star rating by treating every pet like part of the family. I have flexible days to offer for your pets. My wife and daughter are also very good with pets. In a way, you get 3 care givers for the price of one! I have a spacious backyard that has a secure 6 foot wooden fence all the way around the property. My family and I currently do not have pets besides our fish, Blueberry, so all our attention can be focused on your loved one.
