For walks, I use safe leash-handling practices and stay attentive to my surroundings, other animals, traffic, and anything that could make a pet uncomfortable or unsafe. I never rush a dog and adjust the pace and length of the walk based on their age, energy level, and individual needs. When caring for pets in their home, I follow their normal routine as closely as possible so they feel comfortable while you're away. I’m respectful of your home, keep doors and gates securely closed, and make sure your pet has access to fresh water and anything else you’ve provided for their care. I’ll keep you updated throughout the visit and communicate promptly if I notice anything unusual with your pet. My goal is to give you peace of mind knowing your pet is safe, happy, and being cared for as if they were my own.

About: I am a very passionate, attentive, and empathetic person when it comes to any and all animals! For many years I have taken sole care of both dogs and cats of all different breeds, and am well experienced in all general pet care to include special needs pets. All of the dogs I ever had as a kid were trained as puppies almost solely by myself and my brothers. My mom used to make me read books and do online research about the breed of dog we had, different training techniques, K9 first-aid, and so much more. Being as passionate as I am about animals, those studies were well retained, and while I don't have professional experience, the knowledge gained from doing it on my own with 9 different dogs over my lifetime have graced me with at the very least, an in depth knowledge of all different stages of dog ownership. This knowledge was also accentuated professionally as I worked alongside military police K9 handlers during my time in the Air Force. Not to worry though, I mix structure, routine, and discipline with plenty of tender loving care, and know how to tune my approach to dogs of all temperaments. In regards to puppies: I have experience potty training, leash training, crate training, and what I would call experienced but moderate obedience training skills. I know how to deal with things like food aggression, how to properly establish the "hierarchy" or "pack mentality" and other conditioning behaviors. As well as handling young puppies, I've even assisted a momma in giving birth to a new litter, and taking special care of a brand new litter of 7 pups! So my experience with all dogs truly does begin at birth and goes all the way to end of life care. For the old timers: The couch potatoes in our lives need just as much, and sometimes even more care than their energetic and young counterparts. I have experience with things like giving medication and shots, managing specialty diets, and a number of other age specific needs. I'm very patient and am willing to take the time to get to know your pet and what they need. Every animal has a different personality and needs attention in different ways, and I'm very attentive to that! I will always treat your pet as if they were my own, and will to the best of my ability make sure that your pet is well taken care of at all times. I'm a full-time nomad and side gigs are my primary source of income. Pet care IS my weekly routine. I'm available and more than happy to abide by the normal 9-5 schedule for daytime pet care, but I can also easily adjust to fit any alternate schedule; whether you need overnight pet care, or any other odd schedule constraints met, I am available. I have lived with my own dog in a variety of different conditions. From being on our own in both houses and apartments, to having a full house of dogs and cats. I am well versed in any additional responsibilities and special care based on living situations, and have no trouble go up and down a few flights of stairs for potty breaks/walks, etc.

About: I love dogs and have been taking care of my own since I was a child. I have also dog sat for family and friends of the family. I am comfortable looking after multiple dogs of any age or size. I’m currently in school, with most of my classes online so I am able to stay home with your pets most of the day! I like to stay around the house with the pets as much as possible. About: I've been lucky to be raised in a dog household and have always been surrounded by dogs- both big and small! I truly treat every dog as my own and give them the love and care they deserve. I have experience with large breeds (I had a great Dane growing up!), puppies and senior dogs. I work fully remote so I'll be at home most of the day to care for and play with throughout the day. I'm available most weekends when I'm not traveling a few times throughout the year. I have an elderly dog, Titus, who has lived with other dogs most of his life and gets along well with all animals (except those pesky squirrels!). I have a fenced in yard where, weather-depending, I leave the door open to allow them to go in & out as they please. I like to take my dog on walks around the neighborhood almost daily and we'd love to have a friend join us!

About: Most of my pet care has consisted of looking after my late, elderly, miniature schnauzer. Since then I have enjoyed helping my family take care of two, 2 year old Australian Shepherd mixes. I’ve also used Trusted Housesitters and cared for two German shepherds and two bengal cats on multiple occasions. My schedule allows for me to change my routine as needed. I understand pets have routine and may need to be on a regular schedule. I can care for your pets in your home by following their routines, entertaining and playing with them, and giving them love and attention. I am not able to care for pets in my home at this time.
