“April is truly a dog whisperer! She watched my two Yorkies at my home, and I couldn't be more impressed. One of my dogs, Dawson, has severe separation anxiety and usually takes a long time to trust strangers. To my total shock, it was love at first sight for him—he didn't even care when I left! April took wonderful care of my fur babies and even went above and beyond by leaving my house spotless. Finding someone Dawson trusts is rare, and I’ll definitely be booking April again.”

“We love Tonia! She was fantastic with our two treasured pups. She was attentive, loving, and very clean/ organized, which always makes coming home a delight. She made sure to send a lot of pictures so we always knew our babies were well cared for. 100% recommend!”

“Michayla took care of my two cats for a week while I was on vacation, and she did a wonderful job! She is very caring and attentive, and she made sure to send me pictures and updates throughout the week which really put my mind at ease. I will definitely book her again in the future.”

“Jennifer was top notch! Very professional and great with communication while we were out of town for the day. She gave us lots of updates and photos and we came home to a very happy pup! Would highly recommend Jennifer! Will definitely use her again and again!”

“Ashley did a great job watching our pups. Communication was fantastic… pics and texts, as we’d discussed up front. She even checked on our chickens when the weather became unseasonably warm! Thanks Ashley!”

“This is our second stay with Allie and we always love having her! We had a long trip out of state this time and it was nice to be able to leave our pups and home to someone we can trust. She’s a great communicator, polite, considerate, and great with our dogs. We’ll keep having her back as long as she’ll have us!”

“Alex is a fantastic pet sitter. The instructions for my senior cat can be a bit complicated - Alex took care of her and our golden retriever so well. Highly recommend. She left our house the way we left it, was very communicative, and trustworthy person.”

About: 🍒 At 17 years old, I became a Pet Care Technician at Red Dog Pet Resort and Spa, where I received training on essential dog care of differing breeds, sizes, and behavioral circumstances. 🍒 At 22 years old, I learned how to administer shots to my senior cat with cancer, developing critical care skills for this delicate age. 🍒 Having taken a certified dog food nutrition course, I'm aware of how to treat upset stomach, navigate allergies, and have knowledge of what foods and plants to keep away from pups/kitties. 🍒 I work from home full time as a digital illustrator, therefore I have oodles of puppy or kitty play time at my fingertips 24/7! 🥳 🌸 Pups are under 24/7 monitoring, be that chilling with us indoors, or while getting out the zoomies in the backyard! 🌸 12 minutes away from PetVet 365 Urgent Care 🌸 Provides bone holders to prevent hazardous swallowing 🌸 All day access to backyard, in and out as the pup pleases!
“Julie was so helpful to us! She took care of our elderly dog and skittish kitty with as much love as we would have. She provided regular updates and photos and even did light housekeeping for us-that we didn’t expect at all!! I highly recommend Julie for your pets and home.”

About: I’ve been an animal lover my entire life and have over 30 years of experience caring for both dogs and cats. I grew up with cats and have spent the last several years loving my own Aussiedoodle, Scout. We recently lost our cat, and I truly miss those kitty cuddles, so I’d be thrilled to spend time caring for yours. Whether it’s walks, drop-in visits, feeding, playtime, or simply giving your pet companionship while you’re away, I’ll treat them like family. I’m active, dependable, detail-oriented, and happy to follow your pet’s routine exactly as you prefer. I’ll also send plenty of photo and text updates so you can relax knowing your pet is happy and well cared for. I work for myself, which gives me a flexible schedule and allows me to provide dependable care throughout the day. I’m available for walks, drop-in visits, and pet check-ins. Whether your pet needs a midday potty break, a long walk, or some extra love while you’re away, I’ll do my best to accommodate your schedule and keep your furry family member happy, exercised, and cared for. Your pet’s safety and comfort will always be my top priority. I understand that every animal has a unique personality and routine, so I’ll carefully follow your instructions for feeding, medications, walks, playtime, and any special needs. I believe in earning both your trust and your pet’s trust through patience, consistency, and kindness. You’ll receive regular updates and photos during each visit, and I’ll always treat your home with the same respect I’d expect someone to show mine.
About: Hello, my name is Jordan. I am a pet sitter based in Mount Orab, Ohio! I have 4 cats and a little Chiweenie Puggle with my boyfriend. I often take care of strays around the neighborhood and have even taken in a few. I work to advocate for those who don't have a voice. I enjoy walking in the outdoors! Perfect for your little pup full of energy. I have always had a passion for animals since I was little, accumulating a lot of pet care experience under my belt with smaller animals over the course of a decade. I always treat every furbaby as if they are my own. I cannot wait to meet yours, they will have my full heart and attention! Always up to answer those questions and concerns, you can rely on me to be there for you and your dog. I tend to specialize in small dogs and other small animals. I have a fairly flexible schedule due to working for myself currently, making plenty of time for your pet throughout the week Monday through Sunday as well as most holidays! I care for the pets in and around my home by feeding with set schedules, cleaning up any messes created, scooping litterboxes everyday, cleaning food bowls, walking my dog multiple times throughout the day, crating my dog at night, as well as keeping them enriched and entertained!
“Alex did a fabulous job with our very picky kitty! Very responsive and incredibly helpful with our many requests! Thank you so much for everything Alex and we can’t wait to have you take care of Zelda again!”

About: The things that separate me from other sitters are my active lifestyle, strong communication, adaptability/ flexibility and silliness! I love to go hiking, running, swimming at the family lake, explore dog parks and other fun activities while sitting. Options are endless and will keep you posted with fun photos, videos and other messages to make sure you know your pet is safe. I do not ADD ANY STRESS. Quite the opposite. I am here to help and relieve the stress of boarding your pet. And I'm okay with being scheduled same day or same day cancellation. I understand things come up, please just try and be certious and thoughtful though with lack of communication. (Please be aware that my rates are subject to change based on my availability, commute to/from work, time spent with the dog and many other factors. Please not that I do NOT make as much as you pay, rover app takes a good chunk out of what you pay. Graituity and tips are highly encouraged if you want quality care and repeat stays/ watches. ) My rule of thumb: I aim to make about $75-$125/ day for house sitting and animal care. I am to make about $25/ hour so that would require me to spend about 4-5 hours on ruotine pet car (walks, feeding, taking out, medicine, adventures + household chores ect.) I have to factor in gas money, taxes, and rover fees so please consider that when booking. I am willing to go the extra mie and make your dog's stay a vacation and spend all day with them, I just expect to be fault comensated. Some dogs (+multiple dogs, cats ect.) require lots more attention than others. I find it very hard to work full time and pet/ house sit. As I am trying to move away from my other job and pet sit closer to full-time. I love animals but they are lots of work, as we know! Please be curtious and respectful of my time and love I show your pets. I am currently working part-time as a rideshare driver and am part-time student in grad school to get my masters in psychology. And back living at my parents house with a big yard in the basement to play in. When I am pet sitting I revolve my life around the needs of the pet and adapt my schedule to their potty breaks and eating habits. Like I said, I'm flexible and easygoing and luckily don't have too much on .y plate right now besides studying and private rides mostly at night! I have backup as well with my cousin who lives with me. Leashes all the time if they could get away or in public. I have a stand outside with a long leash for extended outside time but am usually just side-by-side the pet most of the time so they are in good eyes. Clean environment, no drugs, no partying, no garbage laying around. (I live with my parents currently in Montgomery, OH and they are on board as well as they love pets too!)
About: Reliable dog care from a boarding kennel worker with hands-on experience in daily care, routines, and behavior. Beginning AKC training soon. With some veterinary experience as well. I have a flexible schedule as a full-time student, so I can stop by before or after classes for walks, feeding, medications, bathroom breaks, and other care needs. I’m happy to help with weekend visits and can do overnight stays when possible. I’m comfortable traveling up to about 25 miles for pet care. I treat every pet like part of my family, giving plenty of attention, love, and consistency. Inside my home, I maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable environment, following each pet’s routine for meals, bathroom breaks, play, and rest. I’m attentive to behavior, health, and individual needs, and I make sure pets feel secure, happy, and cared for while their owners are away. My reliability, patience, and flexibility help me provide personalized care that puts both pets and owners at ease.

I have a cozy home for your baby to rest when they want to. I am currently free full time so I have plenty of time to care for your furry family members. There is always someone at home as well if there are any short periods of time where I need to run and errand so they will never be alone! Available to board animals seven days a week. I have a fenced in back yard for your babies to run and play in. I have the means to take them to parks or just on walks around the neighborhood and can crate your animal if need be. They also have free reign on furniture for a comfortable stay if you allow them on furniture!
“We were somewhat anxious about leaving our dog with a sitter for the first time. We were very impressed when we met Rachelle, and our minds were put at ease by her maturity and her knowledge and experience with dogs. Our dog instantly developed a bond with Rachelle, and we were able to enjoy our vacation without worry about the safety of our dog and our home. Everything went smoothly, and I highly recommend Rachelle as someone who is dependable and will take good care of your pet.”

About: Woof! Im a responsible and trustworthy military veteran with a true passion for dogs.I have ample experience, having helped run a nonprofit dog rescue for many years. I’m kind, gentle, patient, and extremely comfortable around canines. Being an active and energetic kind of gal, your babies will have a blast during their time with me! Their paws will be in good hands. P.S ( I’ll treat your dog as if they were my own). I work from home, (free lance writing) and have plenty of time to host your dog. Being a homebody, I only step out for a few hours, for kickboxing and weight training. I have an extremely large yard with lots of room for: exercise, playtime, and exploring. And I’m well equipped with several doggy condos (crates and cages).

About: Most of my pet care has consisted of looking after my late, elderly, miniature schnauzer. Since then I have enjoyed helping my family take care of two, 2 year old Australian Shepherd mixes. I’ve also used Trusted Housesitters and cared for two German shepherds and two bengal cats on multiple occasions. My schedule allows for me to change my routine as needed. I understand pets have routine and may need to be on a regular schedule. I can care for your pets in your home by following their routines, entertaining and playing with them, and giving them love and attention. I am not able to care for pets in my home at this time.
About: Hi I am Laurel Bonn, I would like to say my experience is based off years of having animals for being near pets. I’ve had many different sizes of dogs for my whole life. I know all the basics to learning how to care for a dog as I too have a French bulldog and that breed is tedious. I too have taken care of cats as they are more simple minded but I love animals over all and I would love to take care of yours Pet care fits into my routine everyday, willing to come up with a time that works for customer and me to help take care of the pup. During the week lunch I can (12-1) I can take them out to potty, after work give them a walky. Weekends are free for me to give my full attention! I live in apartment near SMU. We have a dog park and a trail near me happily able to give them all the amenities and attention

Frequently asked questions about Rover
As of September 2026, there are 325 sitters on Rover offering House Sitting across Sardinia. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.
Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Sardinia walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Sardinia maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Sardinia choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Sardinia. On Rover:
- 95% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 95% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 100% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
