Erin and her family were absolutely incredible! We had a very last-minute, late-night request, and Erin was so flexible, responsive, and accommodating to get care coordinated. This was our first time ever leaving our puppy, and she immediately gave us peace of mind with updates, sweet pictures, and amazing communication throughout the day. It was clear our puppy was loved and cared for like family. We are beyond grateful for her kindness, reliability, and exceptional care. If you’re looking for someone trustworthy, compassionate, and dependable, we highly recommend Erin and her family!

Charlie had a great time with Patricia. And he loved spending time with her doggie as well. We are so happy we found someone who could watch Charile while we went to dinner.

I couldn’t recommend Katelyn and Andria more! We were coming from out of town for a semi last minute day trip to Cedar Point. I truly wish they were closer to where we live so we can have them watch the girls more. They were very accommodating, communicative, and loving. They provided updates and photos and I could tell my girls were in good hands and very comfortable with them. I would 100% use them again next time we come up to Cedar Point / the area. Thanks for taking such great care of the girls!!

We highly recommend, Kayla! We recently adopted our pup from a shelter and wanted to make sure he was in someone’s home while traveling to avoid any more trauma and she did a great job making sure he was comfortable. The second time we dropped him off he went right in! Our boy loved Kayla and we will definitely use her again. She is excellent with communication and you can tell she truly loves dogs. Thank you for providing a great environment for Arrow!

About: I’ve had cats and dogs all my life, and currently only have cats but would love some dogs in my life, even just to walk or board :) I walked many dogs and developed close relationships with them at the Licking County Humane Society for four years, and currently dogsit, walk, and take care of my friends’ dogs. I’ve been caring for dogs on Rover for over a year. My schedule differs a bit each week with work. I have a mix of weekday and weekend availabilities, and can work around your schedule most of the time! When boarding, I always do a morning, midday and nightly walk unless you’d prefer otherwise. I live in a 3 bedroom house alone right along the lake with an unfenced yard. The street is very quiet and there’s lots of room in general for your pet to make themselves at home!

About: We have had dogs for over 50 years, all sizes, many breeds. We know your dog may need a different level of attention than others, we will make it feel at home by treating it just like you tells us to. We won’t just throw it out back with some food and water, it will get personal treatment just like our Piper does. She doesn’t work and only leaves home for a few hours to go to the store or doctor. Your dog will have supervision most of the time. Bring its favorite toy or bed, it can play fetch, ball, tug of war with Piper. The fenced yard has access via a doggy door or a human door. Piper sleeps in a crate in her own bedroom but your dog can sleep the same way it does at home, just tell us what it prefers. Bring its food and water Bowls. We will consider dogs from 40-100 lbs in case by case review. We DO NOT accept Pit Bull dogs. We request a meet and great visit prior to scheduled stay to make sure your dog is a good fit in our home.

About: I’ve owned and taken care of dogs and cats for most of my life. My life has been enriched by caring for kittens, puppies, adults, and seniors. I’ve given pills and eye drops to both cats and dogs. I love playing with cats and dogs and seeing them happy! It would be an honor to care for your pet. I’m the owner/operator of a new pet transportation business and have taken care of puppies during 200+ mile trips. This includes giving them water and food, cleaning them and their crate up (if they got carsick ☹️), sitting with them on breaks while they roamed the back of my SUV, and snuggles. I am excited to take care of fur babies at your home or mine! I have two cats of my own, a calico (7 yrs old) and a Siamese mix (6 yrs old), and they are amazing! 😻 I have a fenced in backyard and swimming pool (which can also be fenced off if desired by pet parent). I can feed, water, do short walks, and give medicine or eye drops (to compliant pets). I have 2 cats and am happy to provide care to cat friendly dogs at my home or I can come to yours. I’m available M-F 8-4 and for overnight stays.

My partner and I are homebodies and rarely separated from our two wonderful aging Labradors but had a short notice occasion that couldn't include our dogs. Since our dogs are usually with us 24/7, we do not have an emergency backup. Our vet suggested Rover.com and Cindy came to our rescue. We had a "meet and greet" the same day as my initial contact and Cindy was agreeable to a day care service on a day she usually isn't available. She was personable, demonstrated a kind interest in our pups, and they were safe and happy when we returned. I was very pleased to learn of this service and would not hesitate to use Cindy again! What a relief!

About: I’m a lifelong animal lover and currently have two dogs and two cats of my own, so caring for pets is part of my everyday life. I understand how important it is to trust someone with your fur babies because I would only want the absolute best care for mine. I have experience with dogs of different sizes, ages, and energy levels. I’m comfortable with feeding schedules, administering basic medications, walks, crate routines, playtime, and of course plenty of cuddles. Living with both dogs and cats has also helped me become very attentive to animal behavior and body language, which allows me to keep pets safe, calm, and happy in my care. I treat every pet like they’re my own and make sure owners feel comfortable with regular updates and photos. My goal is always to provide a safe, loving, and stress-free environment while you’re away. Pet care is already a big part of my daily life since I have two dogs and two cats of my own. My day naturally revolves around feeding schedules, walks, playtime, and making sure my pets are happy and comfortable. I do work full time, but my job is very flexible. When I’m booked for pet sitting, I’m able to adjust my schedule or take time off to make sure I can fully focus on the pets in my care. I prioritize reliability and planning so every pet gets the attention and consistency they deserve. My home is clean, pet-safe, and thoughtfully set up to create a calm environment. I remove any hazards, keep floors clear, secure doors and gates, and ensure all pets are supervised at all times. I follow each pet’s routine closely — including feeding schedules, medication needs, exercise, and playtime — so they feel right at home. I understand how important trust is when it comes to your furry family members. I pride myself on being reliable, responsible, and communicative. I provide regular updates, photos, and quick responses so you always know how your pet is doing. Whether your pet loves active play, cozy naps, or extra cuddles, I tailor my care to their personality and needs. My goal is simple: to give you peace of mind and your pet a safe, loving home away from home.

Frequently asked questions about Rover

Sitters on Rover can offer flexible scheduling, so you can coordinate times that work best for you and your pet—whether that’s early drop-off or later pick-up to match your Berlin Heights commute.

If your schedule changes, it’s best to let your sitter know through the app as early as possible. Many sitters can adjust pick-up and drop-off times when needed.

Think of doggy day care as your dog’s fun, supervised play date that happens to fit into your workday. Day care through Rover takes place in a real home. This offers a calmer and more personalized environment for your pup.

A typical day can include companionship, one-on-one attention, and same day pick-up and drop-off. Many sitters can also offer structured routines and exercise throughout the day. For recurring, weekly day care, sitters will include photo updates so you can see your dog in their element.

Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:

  • For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0–7 kilograms and/or 7–18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
  • For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pup’s socializing needs.
  • For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.

Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!

While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.

Many sitters in OH ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.

By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.

Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Yes, Rover is well-suited for finding sitters who can care for your pet within 24 hours. With 174 sitters in Berlin Heights, 90% respond to messages in under an hour.

You can message multiple sitters simultaneously to find the fastest available match. If you need care today or tomorrow, you can look for sitters with a "calendar last updated" notice on their profiles.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
